Chapter 7
Nemo tried to shake off the fact that his soon to be step-mother had an affair with another man. Could they even live in Voldy’s manor with Voldy missing? Remy and scabbers must be happy for they no longer have to suck Voldy’s feet. The castle was so quiet that you could hear a mouse. Two mice actually. Scabbers and Remy were filming a tiktok in the castle corridors.
“Renegade, renegade,” scabbers sang.
In the middle of their dance, Dory came in with marlin. Remy grabbed the camera to put the video to a halt.
“We have a problem,” said Dory who was nearly out of breath.
Remy looked around at scabbers, “Well, what is it,” he asked.
“I forgot,” mumbled Dory.
No surprise there, Dory was always forgetting everything.
Marlin joined in, “Do you remember the legend of Duo?”
“Vividly” responded Remy.
“Well it isn’t a legend, in fact it is very true… Duo, the notorious assassin is back… and he is with Conjug.”
“But why,” asked scabbers.
Marlin shook his head, “I think duo wants to... help... us…”
“Why would he want to do that,” asked Nemo who had seemed to just enter the room.
“I think that… maybe he might have… umm… had something to do with the whole Dora and Diego incident…”
Remy was skeptical about this whole scenario, not wanting to believe it true. “How did you find out about this Marlin?”
Marlin opened the door to show Benjamin Franklin holding his trademark kite.
“Benjamin? But how? Why,” asked Remy.
Ben adjusted his wig, “I have been following all of you around. Recording your every move in order to get my money from Voldy. But after Voldy left, Marlin hired me…”
“That is enough ben,” interrupted Marlin. “They don’t need to hear anymore…”
‘What wouldn’t they need to hear,’ wondered Remy. He shook his head to get rid of his seemingly insane thoughts.
