Dancing Surprises
Harry woke up to the sun in his eyes the next morning, Draco snuggled into his side.
Draco shifted slightly, putting his arm over Harry's chest, "morning.." Draco mumbled, Harry smiled softly.
"Morning," Harry whispered back.
Suddenly there was a knocking at the door, "boys you better not be snogging I'm coming in!" Someone said right before barging in.
"Who is it?" Draco asked Harry quietly.
"Hermione, Pansy behind her." Harry chuckled, Draco groaned. "C'mon we have class today," Hermione told them.
Harry sighed, "yeah, yeah, we'll be up in a minute, now get out so we can get ready."
"10 minutes," Hermione stated before pulling Pansy, who was trying her best not to squeal, out of the room, pulling the door shut.
Harry sighed again, "alright, cmon," Draco groaned and they both got up, quickly getting dressed and meeting Hermione, Ron, Blaize and Pansy in the common room.
"Took ya long enough." Blaize chuckled. "Whatever, c'mon let's go," Draco said, Harry linking his fingers with Draco's as they walked to their first class; potions.
"Turn to page 394." Professor Slughorn said.
He had taken up the position as potions master because Snape was no longer around to fill it.
"Now, today we will be brewing Felix Felicis." Hermione groaned. "I do hope you plan on helping me." Draco said to Harry with a chuckle, getting all his supplies together, "and if I don't?" Harry smirked.
"Then I'll be forced to retire to our dormitory without you tonight." Draco chuckled, "nooo," Harry whined, "you wouldn't."
"I'm only joking, I wouldn't, I know how much you need me." He smiled softly. Harry smiled softly back, and they began making the Felix Felicis, Harry guiding Draco through how to brew it properly.
When the class was over Draco and Harry's potions were the only ones that were done correctly, Hermione's hair looking wild and frizzy, "awesome hair 'mione." Harry smirked as the group walked out of the classroom.
"Thanks, Harry." Hermione rolled her eyes, Ron laughing slightly.
"Anything new Pansy?" Draco asked her. "Nothing yet." She sighed, "maybe you'll hear something at dinner." Blaize nudged her, giving her some reassurance.
"Normally." She shrugged slightly.
"C'mon Harry we have Herbology," Hermione said trying to pull him along, "we've got History of Magic, I'll see you at lunch alright," Draco told Harry, who nodded before the two parted ways to go to their classes.
When class was over Harry walked into the great hall talking with Ginny as they walked to Harry's table. Draco already being sat at the table with his friends looked up at them raising an eyebrow.
"Malfoy." She nodded respectfully. Draco being a little surprised nodded back. "May I sit?" Ginny asked as Harry sat down beside Draco, "be my guest." He shrugged slightly.
"Glad you two finally got past all your differences, never expected you two to get together though." She chuckled lightly as she sat down on the other side of Harry.
Harry linked his arm with Draco's, leaning on him slightly, "people are taking this way too well.." Harry whispered to Draco, who chuckled. "That just means it won't be too much of a surprise when they find out then," Draco whispered back.
"Find what out?" Ginny asked, "nothing to worry about." Draco told her, brushing her question off.
"Ok, so," Pansy started, sitting down across from the three. "The only thing going around is that you two have started dating, but, Emily something thinks that Harry's possibly under a love potion, also refusing to believe that Harry likes guys because I heard she was planning to slip him a love potion."
"Bloody hell, it's only lunch and you got all that?" Ron asked as he and Hermione sat down beside Pansy.
Harry laughed slightly, "don't drink anything given to me, noted, that goes for you to Ron, don't eat anything that's for me unless I give it to you." Ron laughed slightly, "I do not want a repeat of that."
"Do we want to know?" Ginny asked, raising an eyebrow. "Long story short, someone tried slipping Harry a love potion but Ron took it instead."
"Ah," Ginny and the others laughed.
"Oh!" Pansy suddenly said, "I heard there's gonna be a Halloween dance."
"Are you serious!" Ginny squealed, "that's amazing," she let out a breathy sigh, "I knowww," Pansy sighed happily as well. "I'm gonna tell Luna," Ginny said getting up, going over to the Ravenclaw table.
"Well if it's a Halloween party then we have to dress up." Harry chuckled, nudging Draco.
"But as what?" He asked, looking around at the group for suggestions. Harry gasped, his face breaking into a smile, "Hermione, all the 8th years must do a Disney theme." Hermione's face lit up while everyone else looked at each other in confusion.
"Yes, we must! Ok, but who's who?" Hermione asked. "I've got an idea, Ron and me as princess Jasmine and Aladdin, Pansy as Cinderella-"
"Sounds fancy, I'll take it." Pansy cut Hermione off, chuckling a bit.
"Blaize you'll be Prince Charming, Draco... Harry will figure you two out." Hermione remarked, "ah, I'm so excited!" She exclaimed.
"We have to go to class now, we have care of magical creatures so we better get going before we're late," Harry said, pulling Draco up, everyone else standing up as well, all of them making it to their class with Hagrid.
Halloween was quickly arriving, everyone still making their finishing touches on their costumes on Halloween, minutes before the dance was to start. Harry walked out of his and Draco's room, wearing low black heels, black tights and a black long sleeve, accompanied by a pair of black dragon wings that had purple details, his glasses subbed for contact lenses, showing off his beautiful emerald green eyes.
"Draco~" Pansy cooed, nudging Draco when she noticed Harry. Draco, who was wearing a black suit, with no tie, leaving the top buttons undone, his hair charmed to look black, and a lion mask with a scar over one eye, looked over to where everyone else was looking.
Draco blushed when he saw Harry, Draco stood up, walking over to Harry, "you look amazing," he breathed, Harry smiled, "as do you, certainly making the black hair look better than I ever could." Harry chuckled along with Draco.
They turned to face everyone else, Pansy was wearing a big baby blue coloured dress, Hermione wearing some big pants and a crop top type shirt, both in a turquoise colour. Blaize was dressed in a white suit that had gold details. Ron had white pants on, similar to the pants Hermione wore, and a purple jacket that exposed his chest. Dean dressed in a red waistcoat, and had a red hat on that had a feather sticking out of the side. Seamus wore a green shirt that was cut to look jagged at the edges, and a small green hat that also had a feather sticking out of the side. Hannah Abbot dressed in a regular red dress, but her red cap prevented anyone from seeing much of the dress. Neville wore a plain loose-fitting white t-shirt and some black tights paired with some maroon coloured boots.
"We ready to go?" Harry asked, everyone nodded and he linked his fingers with Draco's as everyone began making their way to the great hall, where the dance was being held.
They got to the great hall and entered, Harry let out a shaky breath and Draco pulled him back outside, "you alright?" He asked Harry softly as he hugged him, Harry hugged back nodding.
"I know, not exactly a day for you to be celebrating, we can go back to the dorm if you want to." Draco offered him. He shook his head, "no, I just need a minute." He sighed and Draco nodded.
Harry pulled away from the hug, only to pull Draco into a kiss, which he gladly returned.
When they pulled apart again Draco noticed Pansy standing in the doorway, "Pansy's watching us." Draco whispered, Harry sighed with a chuckle. "We're coming, Pansy!" Harry said.
Pansy giggled and went back into the great hall, Draco and Harry soon joining her and the others by one of the snack tables. "How was your little snog in the corridor?" Pansy smirked, Hermione going red, Ron spitting out his drink.
"Fine, thanks for asking Pans," Draco smirked back at her, Harry laughing slightly, nudging Draco. "Care to dance?" Harry asked Draco just as a slow song came on. "Thought you'd never ask." He replied, taking the hand Harry held out for him, bringing them to the dance floor.
Draco put his hands on Harry's hips as Harry put his arms around Draco's neck, slightly fiddling with the ring on his middle finger.
"The suit looks amazing, but I can't help but think that you would look like this, minus the black hair and mask, when we get married." Harry chuckled lightly.
Draco smiled softly, "nope, I plan on wearing a white suit, my father wanted me to wear a black suit as he did, but I refuse." He chuckled. "Seems fair, I'll wear a black suit then." Harry said, resting his head on Draco's shoulder, "please do, you look amazing in black." Draco laughed softly.
They continued swaying along to the slow song until 11:00 o'clock rolled around and only a few 7th and 8th years remained, everyone else having gone to bed already.
"I say we play a little game." Pansy said, sitting at one of the empty tables, "say... truth or dare?" She asked as everyone sat at the table with her, everyone agreed.
"I'll start easy, Ron, truth or dare." Pansy asked, "dare," he replied.
"Hold Hermione's hand for the rest of the game." Ron nodded, grabbing Hermione's hand and linking their fingers.
"Gin, truth or dare?" Ron asked his sister, "truth."
"Who's your crush?" He asked. "My crush is currently my girlfriend." Ginny smiled looking at Luna who gave Ginny her signature dreamy smile.
They all played a few rounds, nothing too extreme happening, and before they all knew it, it was past midnight. So they all said their goodbyes and began making their way to their dormitories.
Harry and Draco walked into their room, "I'm gonna shower, you joining?" Harry asked Draco, who nodded.
They quickly got undressed and hopped in, Harry standing under the water but leaning into Draco who hugged him from behind. Draco kissed Harry's neck gently, then kissing his jaw lightly before kissing his lips.
"Draco.." Harry whispered, turning to face him completely. Draco seemingly knowing what Harry was trying to say, quickly finished bathing them.
When they were done they dried off, Draco quickly grabbing his wand, casted a silencing charm on the room, before going over to where Harry was on the bed, slightly pinning him down and kissing him....
