Hi everyone! Thank you so much for choosing this fic to read! It is my first fic, and I'm quite nervous, so feel free to let me know if there are any mistakes or if you have any constructive feedback. :)Disclaimer: I don't own the Harry Potter series or anything to do with it. I also do not support the actions of the author of the series, but I do see the series as something separate from her.

Dear all, it's summer

Dear Lily,

I can’t believe it's only been a couple of days since we've been back home! It's been so weird to not always be surrounded by all of my friends. I will admit, though, it is wonderful to sleep in my own bed again and not need to wake up early to go to class. I'm going to continue with some independent research during the summer, though. Pa just got me a new book on the customs of merpeople and I can't wait to read through it. Are you going to be reading something interesting during the summer? If so, please let me know!

Jamie has been spending all of his time playing quidditch (he claims it's so he's in perfect shape to try out for the team when the term starts). He tries to trick me into playing once in a while, but I'm not that easily fooled or weak-willed. That means, though, that he's not spending a lot of time with me and I need something to do. I have made plans with Mipsy to cook though, but I'm not sure how much of that she'll handle before she asks me to leave the kitchen and leave the cooking to her.

I'm putting together a pile of books I'll be sending off to Remus during the summer, but that only takes up a small amount of time. I know that Ma would love for me to take some of my lessons with her back up again, but even though she made them fun, I wouldn't go back to ballroom dancing lessons even if they paid me to do it. I'm sure I'll find something to do; there is, after all, a library here that I haven't read completely yet.

Anyways, Ma is calling me downstairs so I must go now. I miss you and can't wait to hear from you!

Lots of love,
Mia

Dear Mia,

It's so good to hear from you! I agree, it's been weird not to see everyone every day. The worst part is that I don't have an owl, so I can't even talk to anyone without them sending me something first.

Things at home have been a bit complicated. My parents are just happy that I'm home for a long period of time, and have been trying to do everything I like, which is honestly quite nice. Petunia, however, has been the opposite. You know that I don't take cursing lightly, but believe me when I say that Petunia is a bitch. She has been going out of her way to make sure that I feel bad or uncomfortable, or she's just being quite mean to me for no reason. I can't understand why she's being this way, we used to be best friends and now she seems to hate me. I don't know what I did wrong, I tried everything I could think of to get her to be happy with me but nothing so far has worked. I really hope this is just a phase Tuney is going through, because I really would like to have my sister back.

Anyways, onto more fun news, it's been so weird being back in the muggle world again. Even with all the letters from my parents and the little time I managed to spend back home during the year, I feel so outdated. So many things happened in the time we've been at Hogwarts that it's hard to keep track. Some of my favourite things are the new fashion trends; I'm definitely going to be bringing back a ton of magazines for us and the girls to look over during the year. As per your question on whether I'm going to be reading something interesting during the summer, these magazines will probably take up most of my time, but I'll let you know if I find something interesting I think you're going to like.

I've got to go now because my parents are calling me; we are going to go to a museum now and I'm actually pretty excited. I'll try and find a way to owl you soon.

Lots of love,
Lily

Mia,

I'll be popping by your house in a bit. Can I sleep over?

Love,
Marlene

James,

How's it going, mate! I finally managed to get away from my crazy parents for enough time to write this letter. They haven't allowed me to contact any of my friends, or what they like to call "Gryffindor freaks''. Sometimes I really question how I'm related to these people. They are so mad at me for being sorted into Gryffindor, when it's LITERALLY BEEN MONTHS AND THEY'VE BEEN MAD BEFORE. I honestly think they just don't like me and have to keep finding reasons to be horrible to me. They are even trying to keep Reggie away from me, which is absolutely preposterous. They think I'm going to "corrupt him" and turn him into a Gryffindor. Can you believe that? I mean it's absolutely what I'm trying to do but how dare they insinuate it.

Anyways, are you being able to fly? The hag took away my broom for being such a "disappointment to the family". Don't really understand why she did that because now she just has to spend more time with me. I'm still managing to train a bit with my bat and bludger, but it's not really the same thing without a broom.

Did I tell you my cousin Bellatrix is getting married next summer? It's going to be absolutely dreadful! She is such a horrible person and Rodolphus, that's who she's marrying, is also terrible. But the wedding seems to be the only thing the people in my family can talk about. Mother won't stop bragging to everyone they see that her dear niece will soon be wed. Can you believe that the wedding will only be in a year because they need all of that time to plan? I hope Cissy's wedding won't be as horrible as the family is making Bellatrix's wedding out to be. Andy got lucky when she ran away to marry that muggle-born and got herself away from all of these lunatics.

I honestly can't wait until we are back in school again, these next few weeks are going to be absolute torture.

I've got to go now because the hag is yelling for me, and I don't want her to find out I'm sending you a letter. If you send one back, please ask your owl to be discreet or you might not see me ever again. Send Kitten my regards (speaking about her, is she ok? I haven't heard from her).

Seriously,
Sirius

--

Sirius,

You're alive! I've been scared to send you an owl because of your family, but I'm glad to hear they haven't killed you yet. Are you sure that you're ok? If you want, Ma will be more than happy to have you over for a couple of days, or weeks, if you want. From what you're saying I don't think your parents would mind that much. It's a pity about Reggie, but I'm pretty certain you can turn him to our side before school starts. If there's anyone that can turn someone into a Gryffindor prankster, it's you.

Ew, Bellatrix. Never really liked her from your stories, and apparently, Ma doesn't either. Maybe you could stay over during her wedding so you don't have to go. I don't know a lot about Narcissa but she seems to be pretty nice, I hope her wedding doesn't suck.

I just thought of another reason why you could come over for a couple of days: to play Quidditch with me. We need to be in tip-top shape for the start of the term and Mia refuses to play with me. I don't know why she hates flying so much, Potters usually have a natural ability at it. Speaking about Quidditch, did you see the results of the Falcons and Puddlemere match? It was bloody insane! Macintosh caught the snitch while doing a Wronski Feint, but broke most of the bones on the left side of his body. And to top it off, the Falcons didn't even win because we were so ahead! Besides the World Cup games, this is definitely the one I most wish I could've seen in person.

Mispy and Mia made cookies earlier so I'm also sending you a box of them (they are your favourites)! Mia also asked me to say hi and send you her regards. She doesn't want to admit it but I know that she misses you. We both do.

Just want to put it out there again that you can come over at literally any time during the break and no one will mind. I even made Ma set up a room for you next to mine in case you decide to come.

Please write again soon and I'm excited to hear your comments on Quidditch.

Give the hag hell,
James

Dear Mia,

I hope you are well and enjoying your holiday! I have just finished reading the book you sent over and I thought it was quite informative. It's honestly quite relieving to be able to learn more about my condition and know about other people's experiences with it. About the other book you sent, I absolutely loved it! It's so funny how if muggles imagined something like Hogwarts, they would think of it just as fictional as Narnia. Where did you even get this book in the first place? Does your family library have a muggle section? If you don't mind I really would love the chance to browse around someday.

The book also provided a great distraction for me before and after the moon. It was as bad as it usually is, thankfully, but I do still feel a difference from transforming at home versus at school. I also miss my favourite nurse who is there to give me chocolate after I wake up. I do appreciate the fact that you also sent over chocolates, though, but I regret to inform you that by the time the moon arrived there was nothing left.

I'm sending back the books you lent me and sending over a book of poetry my mum used to read me when I was younger. They are quite beautiful and I think you would quite enjoy them.

I can't wait to see you again.

Love,
Remus

Dear Lily Flower,

I hope you are having a marvelous summer and thinking about me constantly. I just wanted to check up on you and make sure you have been having a nice time. Here is a cake I had Mipsy bake for you (I wasn't sure of your favourite flavour so I guessed chocolate).

I hope to see you soon.

All my love,

James

Mia,

I'll be popping by your house in a bit. Let Aunt Effie know I'm sleeping over.

Love,
Marls

Dear Remus,

I'm so glad you liked the third book of the series! It's one of my favourite ones. I'll bring the rest with me to school so that you can read them there. Can you believe the break is almost over? Honestly, neither can I. It passed by so much more quickly than I ever thought it would; it seems like yesterday when I was writing to Lily telling her how I had no clue what I was going to do these past few months. Speaking about going back to school, when are you going to Diagon Alley? Jamie and I were thinking about us all meeting there one of these days before school starts. If you don't think you can, just let us know so that we can make arrangements to meet up on the train.

I can't wait to see everyone again. It's weird to think that I haven't seen most of you in so long. The only person apart from Jamie that I've seen is Marls, but that's because she's always inviting herself over, and ends up spending a ton of time playing Quidditch with Jamie. Did I tell you how many times he tried to get me to play with him? Poor boy doesn't understand that I will never go on a broom again, much less play Quidditch. I don't mind going to Quidditch games but playing the actual game is a big no on my part.

Anyways, I heard you boys are already planning some pranks for this year. You better be good cause I have some tricks up my sleeve I will not hesitate to use if you guys are not up to par.

I have to go now but I'll see you on the train. Remember the protocols we talked about.

Love,
Mia

Jamie boy,

Scratch that plan. I'll meet you inside the train instead of on the platform. I want to get away from these people as quickly as possible. Send my regards to Kitten.

Seriously,
Sirius
