a new family to be
It was a nice morning in Cincinnati Ohio, kids laughing and playing while their parents took them out places. That was different for one kid that day though, as she never had a place to call home or anyone who could be a parent, and yet she was still alive.. And hungry. When wandering around through the bushes, she spotted a woman that looked much like someone she had once called mom, but that woman left her. She ever understood why, but she had just figured it was a mistake, so she went over.
âHere you go ducks!â The woman was feeding the ducks near a pond some food, laughing slightly as some of the ducks had fought over some of the food. This woman is Lucy Parker, An immortal 19 year old girl who is a big mix of different things. Whenever someone would ask her what she is, her normal response is, âIt's complicatedâ, Since it very much was complicated. She was some mix of a demon, wolf, ghost, and some other things that she doesn't completely know or understand. She had chocolate skin which complemented her hair which was a nice shade of dusk blue. With that blue, she is usually seen wearing a Blue jacket and a black shirt and pantsâŠdoes she even change clothes? Well, she was just feedin the ducks, and that's when she felt a tug on her tail and yelped. âOW! What was-..â she looked down and saw a little girl in some torn up clothes and a lot of hair pulling at her tail.
âUm.. Hello..?â She picked up the little girl in confusion and smiled slightly. âWhere did you come from, you silly goose? Where's your parents?â She looked around. Today was pretty busy, but that was over near the shopping center and there weren't a lot of people over where she was⊠and this girl didnât even look like she was from around here either⊠âUm⊠hey, what's your name kid..?â The girl just tilted her head and giggled.
âMama!!â She said with a happy little voice, her tail that looked somewhat like a leaf had started to wag. She had grabbed out towards Lucy, which made her hold the kid away from her a bit, not wanting to be touched by a kid who looked like she had every disease in the world⊠That caused the little girl to frown before she started to cry âMAMA MAMA MAMAAA!!â She sobbed out, she was so sure of Lucy being her mom, but..why? You donât see a demonâŠghost⊠whatever, you donât see what she is everyday, not at all even, she's 72% sure sheâs the only of her kind that exists!
âUhhhh, c-calm downnnnâŠlittle girl⊠đ â She didnât know what else to do except pet the girl because⊠she doesnt know that's the only thing she could think of. HmmmâŠI need to find her parents⊠but it looks like it's gonna rainâŠthe sky made me believe it was gonna be a nice day >:/. âUhhâŠOkay⊠I'm just gonna take you home for the time being.â Lucy held the little girl to her chest, and she felt water droplets fall onto her head as a light drizzle had started and some families started to get back to their vehicles. Lucy, despite not wanting to drive one ever, got into her car and just put the little kid in the passenger seat andâŠyeah, not the most ideal way but, it was all she could work with at the moment. After just a bit of driving, she had made it to her house where she was greeted by her own identical copy⊠not a twin per say thoughâŠ
âWhat is that, Lucy.â the name of this copy, or anomaly was flawed, or flaw for short. Flawed did look identical to Lucy as they had just completely copied her identity, the only thing that could tell them apart was that the right side of their face was just pitch blackâŠweird. Flaw's voice is also somewhat like Lucys, just a little more distorted than what Lucy's voice is. âAre you going to answer me or just stand there and look stupid.â They rolled their eyes while they waited for a response.Â
âOh- well, this is some child I found when I was out shopping. She kinda just came over.â She explained to flaw, the little girl who was once happy and peaceful laid her eyes on flaw and just started sobbing her eyes out. âAck- O.o, you okay kiddo..?â She hugged the girl. âEr, I think sheâs afraid of ya flaw.âÂ
âOh wow. What a shocker that a child is afraid of me.â They respond with a blank expression on their face, unamused with the little crying child, which got them a glare from Lucy. âOh donât look at me like that. Besides, you basically just kidnapped a kid dude.â
â...Omg youâre right..â Lucy looked down at the sad girl. âWell.. she kept on calling me mama..So I think she thought I was her mom..and I bet you her parents are worried sickâŠ.â she had a frown on her face when she talked about it. This little girl, who looked around the age of four had been all abandoned. âYou know whatâŠsince she can't tell us her name at the moment, I'll just name her Clyde for now!â She lifted Clyde high and then brought her back when she realized she wasnât done crying.Â
âMaybe I can smile for he-â
âNo. You have a ugly smile. Youâll scare her more.â
âUgh, I hate you sometimes.â
Lucy took Clyde upstairs and started up a bath for her. âHmmâŠI wonder why you had gotten abandoned.. Who were your parents..?â She asked Clyde, which she just got a little poke on the forehead. âOop- okay then.â She giggled at how Clyde was. Despite her being abandoned, she seemed like a very sweet kid, which brought up the question to her once again, how could anyone abandon this little girl? And how did she surviveâŠ? So many questions and yet absolutely no answers in sight. âMaybe when youâre a bit older you can tell usâŠâ She gave Clyde a soft smile, and Clyde giggled in response to her doing so. âOkay, come on, into the bath you gooooo!â Clyde got put in, and Lucy went to go get some bubble bath for her.
Clyde giggled and seemed to be happy once again and Lucy went ahead and put some toys inside the bathtub. Flawed then came over and Clyde gave flaw and grumpy glare. âOkay Miss. pouty face.â They rolled their eyes.
âFlawed, be nice. It's not her fault that youâre scary dude, you canât really blame a child for that.â Lucy had scowled at flawed as she said this, wanting to get her point across fully. Flawed just rolled their eyes and sat down next to Clyde and grabbed a turtle toy. Clyde gave them a confused look and flawed sighed. âHeyâŠMiss. I'm Mr. turtle. What's your name.â They gave an awkward smile.
Clyde's pout turned into a smile and she giggled and grabbed a duck toy. âI duffyyâŠi wike turble..!â She babbled out, it's surprising she knew really any words, but she didnât know how to exactly pronounce them, which wasnât so shocking. Flaw did a small smile, well, not really it wasn't really a smile, but they donât usually like smiling, nor do they really care about feelings since they always just found them to beâŠuseless. They continued to play with occasional pauses when Lucy had to dump water on Clyde's head and try to brush out the matted mess that was her hair. Albeit having matted hair is bad, it was better than her also having mold or lice inside of her har, kinda surprising that there was none.
After what felt like hours ( because it was ), Lucy was finally done with Clyde's hair and took a deep sigh of relief. âPhewâŠThat took foreverâŠâ She drained the bath and took Clyde out and wrapped her inside a towel
âWow. No shit sherlock.â Flawed grumbled which made Lucy roll her eyes again. âWhat. Why are you looking at me like that.â Lucy did a small scowl at Flaw and started to brush Clyde's hair.
âYou donât always have to be an a-s about everything.â She grumbled at them and then sighed at the broken comb in her hands. âGreat, canât we cut her hair or something?â
âOn it.â Flawed then turned their hand into a pair of scissors and did the worst job ever on cutting hair which I meanâŠyeah they could see her eyes now, but Clyde then started to bawl her eyes out. âOh my fucking god. SHUT UP.â Flawed yelled at Clyde which made Lucy slap them. Â
âDonât scream at her Flawed shes a child!!!â Lucy snapped at Flaw. âGo get her some clothes.â Flawed grumbled something under their breath and left out, making Lucy sigh in frustration. She looked down at Clyde and gave her a slim smile. âSorry kiddo, Flaws just a lil bit of aâŠerâŠbutt fart.â Clyde gave her a lil confused head tilt but then let out a lil giggle. âHeheh, I guess it is a lil silly to be saying that.â
Flaw soon came back and threw the clothes at Lucy. âThere.â Lucy took the clothes off her face and glared at Flaw before dressing Clyde. Â
âWould it kill you to be nice in your life? Yeah you can be mean to me, but don't be mean to the kid for goodness sake.â She lectured Flaw as she went to style the mess that was now Clydeâs hair. âThere you go, all betterâ SHe gave Clyde a soft smile and Clyde smiled back before letting out a yawn. âOh, sleepy? Okay, let's go to bed ^^â Flaw let out a groan once Lucy said that to clyde. âWhat flaw, what now.â
âIt's still so early. Do we have to go to bed just because we want to?â Points at Clyde.
 âFlaw, be nice!â
âNo I won't! Just because she's a kid doesn't mean that I have to be nice to her! She's just a stupid kid, can't you see that Lucy!? You also can't just take in every kid you see! And-â Before flaw could get another word out, a vine shot out from the ground. Flaw and Lucy were taken aback when this happened. âWhat the hell was that?!â Flaw looked at Clyde who by the looks of it, had leaves growing from her hand. âDidâŠDid that brat do this?â
âOkay first off, stop calling her a brat. Second off, I think she didâŠgood job kiddo!â Pats her head.
âDon't praise her dude!â Flaw retorted, but Lucy was still praising her. âUghâŠâ They let out a groan before just crossing their arms and staring at the two.
âOkay, I'm gonna take Clyde to bed. Good night Flaw.â They gave Lucy an eye woll in response and Lucy took that as a cue to leave. They got to Lucy's room and she placed Clyde in her bed and then laid down with her then sighed.m âThis will take a little while till we find your mom and dad, but I promise you that we willâŠpromise.â She gave Clyde a soft smile before falling asleep.
