Chapter 1
Anne let out a groan. Her older brother, Charles, the future king, had insisted that she go with him to Althorp to meet his new girlfriend. It was so ridiculous. She knew her brother tended to be a bit of a playboy, plus she knew that he was still hooked on Camilla, despite the woman being married.
Apparently her name was Sarah. She was 22, seven years younger than Charles who was 29. She has three other siblings, her parents divorced when she was 14. Her siblings had been 12, 8 and 5.
Other than that, Anne didn’t have much information p the Spencer children, although her younger brothers did play with the youngest girl and the only boy. Edward had said the girl, at least, was nice.
They arrived at the estate about thirty minutes later. Charles, per tradition, got out first. He tried to open the door for his sister, but she rolled her eyes and opened it for herself.
“I can take care of myself, thanks.” she said, giving her brother a warning yet affectionate glare. Charles backed away, smirking.
“Fine! Just behave yourself around my girlfriend and her family.”
Anne snorted at that. He was telling her to behave? He was the one who flirted with almost every woman over 21.
“Yeah sure. As long as you don’t give me a niece or nephew tonight. I may be 27, but I am not ready for that yet.”
Charles chuckled, gently punching her shoulder.
“Alright then sis. I’ll do my best.”
She followed after him, still annoyed.
“You better!”
