"Sirius," Remus felt a different headache than his hangover coming up. "First of all, you handed Harry over to Hagrid ? Second, since when do Frank and Alice equals aunt and uncle? Alice and Lily were like sisters, not actually sisters. And third, you handed Harry over to Hagrid! "
"I needed to go after Peter!" Sirius explained frantically. "Hagrid was right there! He said Dumbledore sent him to get Harry over to his aunt and uncle! How was I supposed to know Dumbledore, a wizard, would send Harry over to Lily's muggle, magic hating younger sister!"
"You don't hand over things to Hagrid just because he is there!" Remus raised his hands. "I love him, he's a great guy, really, but Hagrid loses control of his strength and focus in emotional situations! Which that was! What if he accidentally dropped Harry or held him too tightly or- or-! I don't know! Anything could have happened! He doesn't even have a wand! He doesn't know to change nappies or make formula or how to hold him properly!" Remus glared at Sirius. "Sirius! What were you thinking?! "
"That I needed to catch Pettigrew and keep him away from my Godson!" Sirius shouted.
The silence was deafening.
"Fuck," Sirius cursed softly.
