Light placed the disk back on the first tower. He hoped that woman came back with food soon. He had degraded himself this much. If he still didn't get food, then someone was going die.
Not even L would suspect an infant of being Kira. Light was safe.
Fortunately, the woman came back along with the man soon. She put down a plate of beans in front of him and paused. Light looked up at her. She was standing there, half bent and with a spoon in her hands. Her eyes focused on the plate and fingers trembling.
This just wouldn't do at all. Light was hungry and this woman was stuck in a haze of nostalgia!
