The woman, 'Pet' as the other man had called her, stepped back. Light craned his head to look up her and found her looking at him with hesitation in her eyes. As the stare down continued, the hesitation turned to contempt as she sneered,

 

"What? Do you think you're too good for my Duddykins? Too special?-" On and on she went and Light got the memo that she wanted him to play with this living drool generator.

 

Never let it be said Light Yagami didn't make sacrifices.

 

He rolled to his side in the basket, gingerly getting out and crawling to the gate of the playpen. He gripped the bars, trying to stand up. And then walked with shaky legs towards his doom.
