The fallen angel was bored in Hell, oh who wouldn't be?
Hell - if he wasn't tasked as the warden & ruler of Hell, he would not be here. His wings were chopped off both literally and figuratively. Benefits of having an omnipotent, omnipresent father！ He didn't believe foolish mortals who though that his father was Omnibenevolence - all loving. He certainly didn't love Lucifer. None would understand having everything you do is already part of someone's great plan.
He won't be an obedient child and do what was asked of him for all eternity. He wasn't that or else he wouldn't have started the rebellion. That was Amenadiel - his infuriatingly goody two shoes brother. Who looked up to him and loved him - probably before rebellion. Amenadiel would hate him as did everyone.
But, he would leave this hellish place where God's children come to suffer all eternity. All part of God's plan. Sometimes he wondered whether he had any true free will or everything was just part of God's twisted plan? It was a pretty contradictory thing - his father.
But he knows one thing with full certainty that hates his father and will never be like him.
Hell is full of unworthy souls trapped to live their guilts, worst fears for eternity. If that wasn't enough, there are demons torturing souls day and night. One upping it and enjoying that...
Mazikeen was the one most loyal and devoted to Lucifer. Demons are soulless, yet she was somewhat different from other demons. It's not that she was not cruel in her punishments or didn't enjoy the anguish of damned. She was Lilim after all. Who looked exactly like her mother - former lady of Eden. Like the most accurate reflection in muddy water.
He would go back to earth and return. It was freeing to know he really could leave hell and come back when he was bored of humans. They weren't his playthings. He wouldn't influence too much or orchestrate their lives. So he would return to Hell even if he didn't liked returning.
Years later
He has been on earth, away from frigid hell. He used to wander the earth, it's not what he wants but it's way better than Hell or Silver city. All mortals chasing something fleeting. He knew. He collected favours day by day. He was nothing like mortals imagined. He didn't have horns. Didn't screw humans in deals - he was the man of his word. Deal with the Devil wasn't bad. He fulfilled their desires. What else would they want?
Time went on. Sometimes he thought someone would watch him. But he couldn't find that entity and chalked it to it being his father. But his father wouldn't watch him from afar or darkness - for he could do that from Silver city. But then it didn't matter. That meddlesome fool could have planned something. He will deal with it when he has to. He would enjoy his time here as he would need to return back to Hell.
But this time it was different. This time his stay on earth went on much longer. He had no plans to return. If anyone, especially Archangels, were worried thenthey could happily go to Hell.
He had enough Hell for a lifetime.
