NEW YEAR'S EVE OF 1926
PROLOUGE :
A heavily pregnant woman was wandering down the cold slippery snow-covered lane of middle-class London. She was desperately looking for some help and shelter. The rags she wore barely provided her with any warmth, she repeatedly blew on the back of her fingers to collect any warmth she can get. It was also the New Year's Eve of 1926 and the pregnant woman was due at any moment.
Suddenly her water broke, she gave a cry of pain and staggered to the doorstep of an orphanage. By the time the matron answered she was already in labor and they had to continue the delivery on the threshold.
It took hours which felt like forever to Merope and after the tedious process with the last cry of pain and elation, a beautiful, angelic looking boy was born. He had his eyes closed and a soft tuft of dark hair on his small head. His button nose was scrunched up rather cutely from his crying. His cry was like a hope for the dying mother who in her life had nothing and would give the last thing she could with her last breath.
Merope reached for her son and gathered him in her arms and named him "TOM MARVOLO RIDDLE for his father and my father".
With one last breath Merope's soul left the world of living, leaving behind an angelic boy to the horrors of an orphanage.
