Loki
It was a few months after the incident that took place in New York, the invasion of Chitauri and the revelation that Loki was under mind control by someone else. Which was quite concerning knowing that Loki, the God of Mischief was under control by another being preferably more powerful than Loki. Thor was really concerned of his brother’s wellbeing that he hurriedly brought Loki back to Asgard to meet a healer. The Tesseract was brought along with them to Asgard.
The rest of the Avengers occupied the recently named Avengers Tower and helped Tony as much as they could with the renovation. All of them have their own rooms including Thor even though he wont be back for a while but they prepared a room in advanced. They all went by their normal routines, going in and out of shield, research for Tony and Bruce even agent Phil drop by a few times to check up on them per Fury’s request.
“Hey Jarvis, can you contact the others if they wanna have dinner together tonight?”
Tony was tinkering with his new suit, remodelling and adding new features. “Ooh, what are we having tonight?” Bruce was always seen with Tony in the lab and these past few months, they have been getting closer and they both enjoy each others company though it was mainly Tony doing the talking but Bruce is a good listener.
“Hmm shall we order in or you wanna do some cooking?” Bruce chuckled. “Tony you know me and you cant cook.”
“You’re right. I’ll get Happy to deliver us some food. Jarvis, you copy?” “Of course sir.”
Back in Asgard.
“I shall inform my fellow midgardian friends about this matter.” Thor stand from his kneeling position in front of Odin and gave a quick bow to both of his parents. “Please help your brother Thor, tell him that we love him and will be happy to meet them.”
Frigga was cryptic with her words as always but Thor would always be ready to help Loki. After arriving in Asgard with Loki, the healers were quick to heal and restore his mind. He was feeling guilty the whole time after realizing that Loki was under someone’s control and it took him awhile to realize that his brother was acting different the whole time, skittish and always on edge. After they managed to deal with the damaged, Loki was absolutely terrified. Of what? That Thor does not know off, knowing his brother, he would never tell anyone what is on his mind.
Loki was always in his room after that with guards outside his room to ensure nothing would happen and Thor rarely see his brother and many times he tried to visit but the guards outside would not allow it saying how Loki needed rest. Just few days later when Frigga went to visit with Thor did they knew about Loki’s dssapearance and the soldiers were under his control. Loki’s location was unknown but they did not know whether his mind was fully healed or not. Odin had the slightest idea on who was behind it but he denied the idea of it.
“Prince Thor, to Midgard today?” Heimdall bowed to Thor to show respect.
“Ah yes im here to inform the midgardians of Loki’s disapearance and will start to locate him there. There is a chance my brother will return to Midgard.” Thor really really hope that his brother was safe and sound again.
“Farewell Heimdall” and off to Midgard he went.
Avengers Towers
They were all gathered in the common room, drinking and sharing stories of their days. A strong rumble was heard above.
“That must be Thor and his unique entrance” said Clint who was sitting next to Natasha who hummed in reply.
“I thought he was busy in Asgard?” Steve replied in confusion because it was rare for Thor to just drop by especially after recent event.
“I just hope he don’t leave any weird marking on the helipad.” Mused Tony as Thor walked in with his usual attire and Mjolnir in his grasp.
“Ah, you’re all here. This will make it easier for me. Greetings friends.” He sauntered over to the middle of the room to grab a glass of alcohol for himself and sat opposite Steve.
“What are you doing here Point break? Not that we’re not happy to see you, just assume you’d be busy in space” Tony leaned back to relax.
“Its about Loki.” Thor sigh as they tensed and waiting for Thor to continue.
“Loki was indeed being controlled by others but we still do not know who. As you know, I’ve brought Loki to our healer to be healed and they managed to get rid of the control but we do not know to what extend has he been healed. He locked himself in his room to heal his own mind but we were fooled, Loki has escaped but we don’t know where, when and how or why. I thought about going to Midgard first and inform you guys just in case he came here.”
“Looks like we will have to inform Fury about this and he wont be happy about it.” Tony sigh because he did not want to meet with Fury.
“I’ll meet with Fury in the morning.” Natasha offered because she will have to report herself to SHIELD everyday.
“What do we do now?” Bruce asked because there is no way they can track Loki.
“For now we will wait for Fury’s order since there is nothing we can do. Stark can run some facial recognition.” Steve look to Tony and he nodded confirming that Jarvis will look into it.
The air around became less tense as they talk among each other, Thor catching up with the rest and him talking bout Asgard.
Loki suddenly appear in front of them and the avengers were on high alert with a weapon each in hand. The mood became tense with the appearance of Loki, who was confirmed to be missing. He was cradling something close to him, his eyes were red. A black tuft of hair was seen among the blankets he was wrapped in.
"Please, please help him" he begged while kneeling, showing the tiny thing that was held close to him.
“Huh, looks like we don’t need to worry about tracking reindeer games.” Tony lowered his hand slowly as he stare at Loki who was kneeling. ‘Well that’s one less problem.’ He thought.
“Please help him I beg of you” Loki’s eyes were shining with close to tears.
“Brother…” Thor was gaping at his brother’s state. His hair was a mess, it looks like he was running through them a thousand times and his clothes were in disarray. Thor slowly approached Loki and glance at the thing his brother was holding tightly.
“A child?” he tilt his head to get a better look.
“I need a human healer please Thor you have to help me save him. You can do anything you want with me after this but please please save him. I do not know what to do.” Loki at this point did not care for how ridiculous he must’ve look to everyone in the room and they were shock too.
“Banner, you’re a healer right? Can you help this child” Bruce snapped out of his stupor and nodded at Thor. The others still have their guards up. They were lead to an empty room nearby by Tony while Bruce gather his med kits and Loki reluctantly lay the small child on the big bed. Loki never did left the child’s side and remain touching his hand and shushing the child as he whimpers probably in a lot of pain.
“Its okay my gem, you will be okay precious.” The child seems to be whimpering less but still sweating heavily. Bruce eventually came with his stuff and took out a thermometer.
“I will be taking his temperature with this” Bruce asked as Loki stare at him warily but nodded for Bruce to continue. Everyone else stood around the room but not crowding the child. He looks to be about 3-4 years old with how small his stature is.
After checking the temperature of the kid, Bruce conclude that the kid was just having a fever.
“He’s having high fever, nothing to worry about. He needs to stay hydrated and eating some medicine which im sure Tony can get some. But right now we need to get his temperature down a bit so a cold towel on his forehead will do.” Explained Bruce to Loki who seem to relieved a bit.
“I can get the towels” said Natasha.
“Thank you very very much Banner. I have not been in my best state of mind few months ago and I would like to apologize to everyone.” Loki ran his hands through the kid’s hair.
“Where have you been Loki?” Thor inched closer to Loki and the child.
