Happy birthday Clarke Part I
“Happy Birthday, ai hodnes.” Lexa said, shaking Clarke awake. Clarke yawned and stretched.
“Mm. Thank you, my love.” Clarke replied. Lexa gave her wife a kiss on the lips.
“Sorry for waking you up on your birthday. But… well, Hazel has been calling you for ages and well, Aden and I attempted to make you breakfast.” Lexa explained.
“Attempted to?” Clarke asked. She inspected the food brought in by Aden. “This looks amazing Lex. Thank you Aden as well. You did well my boy.” She ruffled his hair.
Aden grinned, pleased. He picked up Hazel, “Good morning Hazel. Guess who’s birthday it is today!”
“Mommy!” Hazel giggled. “Mommy! Mommy!”
“That’s right! You’re so smart, kiddo.” Aden praised. “You guys want a moment?”
“Yes please Aden, thank you.” Lexa thanked.
“I gotta say, our little munchkin is very smart. She can already say Mommy and Mama.”
“Though I agree, I think it’s because we’re her parents.”
“So, ai hodnes. What have you planned for me today?”
“Well. First of all, get dressed. Then, I’m taking you somewhere special. After we come back, our friends planned something for you. Lastly, I have more surprises.”
“Hmm, that sounds eventful, my love. Are you sure you don’t want to just stay in bed with me all day? Hazel’s almost one. We could practice.” Clarke joked.
“Clarke!”
“Alright alright. I’m getting dressed.”
—-----
“Where are we going?” Clarke asked.
Lexa grinned, “I told you it is a surprise.”
“Well it’s kind of hard to ride a horse while I’m blind folded.”
Lexa chuckled, “We’re here.”
“Great. Can I take my blind fold off now?”
“Yes.” Lexa reached over and untied it. “Surprise!”
“Wow. Ai hodnes, this is…” Clarke was stunned and lost for words. They were on top of a beautiful mountain, where you could still see Polis. “This is where I —”
Lexa nodded, “Yes. this is where you proposed to me.”
Clarke instantly had memories brought back to her. She had chosen this place because it looked as if the blue sky was touching the green trees. Like the sky meeting the ground. Which reminded Clarke of their relationship.
“Happy birthday my love.” Lexa led Clarke over to a picnic. “I love you.”
“I love you too.”
“I hope you like it.”
“I love it. Anything with you i will love it.” Clarke said, pulling Lexa next to her.
Lexa smiled, “I also thought we could have some alone time.”
Clarke leaned forward and kissed Lexa. “This is where i promised you a beautiful future. This is so lovely ai hodnes.” Clarke was moved to tears.
Lexa chuckled, “I knew you were going to cry.”
“I’m not crying!” Clarke shot back.
Lexa laughed.
