the one were Will makes a tiny voltron reference
Okay so apparently Solace knew how to drive.
It was still summer vacation and Chiron had lent them a really nice car. Leo had connected his spotify with and was now blasting âThe cars that go boomâ from the speakers. They were driving to Piperâs house, to get her for the quest. Hekate had told them that they needed to be ready soon, because they were going to stay over at a wizard family to adjust more to their lifestyle.
Leo had also decided on his own that Piper was gonna go with them whether she liked it or not. He didnât just need her for the quest but he needed her as friend and emotional support and he was sure Piper could use some of that too.
After a while Solace told Leo that they were almost there and Leo started getting nervous and questioning every single word he had just promised to himself. Piper wasnât gonna like this. She had a new life now and a new partner, a better relationship with her dad, she had everything she wished for back at the wilderness school.

Piper had everything she wished for back at the wilderness school. But she didnât have Leo and Jason anymore. And it hurt, she stopped doing demigod business so she could concentrate on her own life
But it turned out she wanted more than her own life, of course it was amazing she had learned so much about herself. She fell in love, and learned more about Cherokee culture.
But yeah, there was something missing. Piper had secretly hoped that Leo would come to visit again, but she was too scared to actually contact him herself. She felt pathetic, The great daughter of Aphrodite who literally killed goddesses, was afraid of a phone call with her best friend.
When her dad told her she had a visitor she thought itâd be Shell, her girlfriend. But when she came downstairs she saw no one other than Leo Valdez. Her mouth felt dry and guilt swelled up in her stomach
It was weird because Piper was a talker, always filling up empty space with chatter, heck her strongest weapon was her voice. But for one of the first times in her life she was utterly speechless.
Leo gave her a sad smile âHey Pipesâ Piper breathed out a breath she didnât know she was holding in. âLeo,â she smiled, They hugged âNo hetero âLeo said jokingly, Piper held back a sniffle âLetâs go to my room, okay?â Leo nodded.
When they arrived in her room they sat down on her bed. Leo sighed âIâm sorry but i think i have sorta bad newsâ Piper looked him in the eyes âTell me, weâve already been through pretty much the worstâ
âNo, we didn't lose anybody luckily, but thereâs a new quest and we need you with itâ Leo tried to sound as convincing as possible âAnd I know you donât do demigod business anymore, but I thought about the prophecy andâŠâ
âAnd what?â
âIt might be a chance to see Jason againâ
Piperâs eyes widened âno..â She shook her head âI don't want to get my hopes up againâ Leo bit his lip âI donât want to either, but what else do we have? Do we just have to wait till we die to see Jason again? I donât think iâll be able to live that wayâ
Piper felt tears pressing behind her eyes. âFine, Iâll goâ
âReally?!â Piper smiled âYes Leo,â
Â
â
âWill, please noooâ Nico whined âNot the social interaction with other humans,â
Will sighed âI know you wanted a day off, but we canât have you and Leo fighting during our questâ
âIâm not gonna fight him, Iâll just ignore himâ Will sighed âNicoooo, please just-â
ââTalk to himâ I know Will, but I have no other reason to do that except for our questâ
âFine, but I still want you to think about itâ
âUHh okay?â
âGreat now, I hope you two have a nice bonding momentâ Will winked "But not too nice" He jokingly added. Nico sighed, Why on earth would he talk to that Valdez boy? Sure, he made peace with the camp and with most of the seven, but not Valdez. He knew that Valdez didnât trust him.
He had been aware of those glances while they were at the Argo II. The glances reduced once Nico had had the Eros situation with Jason but they never really stopped. Honestly Nico didn't blame Valdez for being not trusting, Nico wasn't exactly made up of green flags. The death aura and nervous habits made him an awkward and uncomfortable person to be around.
Nico also knew that Valdez had the same vibe except less edgy and more chaotic and destructive. But unlike Nico, Valdez didn't really see his own redflags as a good thing. I mean of course Nico wanted to be trusted and liked by other campers, but it was also a good protection.
But Valdez was desperate for trust and being liked, which just made him worse. The annoying flirting, pestering and just not minding his own business hit Nico's nerves every gods damn time.
Nico pitied that bastard.
