Draco gets a Special Delivery

I practically lunged towards the windowsill. My father had surely arranged for y/n’s prompt removal from my life. My fingers dexterously opened the string tying the parchment, I unfurled the letter to read,

My dear son.

I appreciated the glance at your handwriting, and I’m sure what you had to say was important. As much as I love your rambling, there are more urgent matters that need to be addressed. I have finally found you the perfect bride.

“What in the name of Merlin’s soggy left…” I muttered.

Her name is y/n. She sent me a letter late last week. It seems her attempts at courting you have been met only with coldness. At first I was appalled that some girl would have written to me, but I recognized her talent in lettering and decided to investigate her familial connections… I can only hope she can forgive your rudeness. I mean to think the heiress to the Sallow fortune would wish to marry my son? You’ve made me a proud father Draco, you well know those aren’t words I say lightly. I’m sure your unfortunate behavior was simply a result of how starstruck you were to have a girl as wonderful as her pursue you, and must’ve been very concerned about how I would feel about the love between you too. I say here, you have my enthusiastic blessing.

Your supportive father,

Lucious Malfoy

I was frozen, nothing made sense anymore, I thought this had just been some cruel prank. What was happening? Was I going insane? I paced around the room for what felt like hours. My thoughts were spinning in circles around my brain. After the news that I took Pansy to the Yule Ball reached father he enchanted a belt to beat me throughout the entirety of the Easter Holiday. Whatever spell managed to change my father’s opinions on girls so drastically must be unimaginably powerful.

This could only mean one thing. This girl was no ordinary wizard. She might not even BE a girl. I was running out of options, I would have to ask “him” for help.
