Meeting The Parents
You were outside the gates to Malfoy Manor. “Well, that isn’t scary.” You said.
“Don’t worry. Come on.” He walked forward and pulled your hand to make you move.
You guys went through the gate and were standing in front of the main doors. Draco looked at you. You were still holding his hand and grabbed his arm with your other hand.
“They will love you. Don’t worry.” He said. Then he opened the door. “Mum?” he said loud.
It was a huge house after all. You stood more behind him than next to him. You heard footsteps coming down the stairs.
“Draco! What are you doing here?” He walked over to her, you followed right behind.
“I wanted you to meet someone.” He pulled you out from behind him.
You barely made eye contact with her before looking back to the floor.
“Is this her?” his mother said.
You looked up at Draco, he was smiling maybe even blushing. Then he nodded. You looked at his mother.
“He couldn’t stop talking about you this summer.” She said.
You smiled.
“Mum come on.” He whined.
She smiled at you.
Draco looked at you then back to his mother. “I think she can help father.”
Narcissa looked at Draco with a confused face. He rolled up his sleeve and showed her. She saw there was nothing there and looked at Draco then to you.
“You did this?”
You shook your head yes, still too afraid to talk. She gave you a hug. “Thank you. That never fit my boy, not really.”
“I know.” You said.
“Mum she can help father.” He said to her.
She looked at Draco. “Well, it couldn’t hurt.”
Draco took your hand and you both followed Narcissa through the house. You came to a door, and you could see his father sitting in the middle of the room. You stopped suddenly. You pulled Draco’s hand. “Draco.”
“Honey it’s going to be fine.”
“No. Um. There is one thing I didn’t tell you. Um. It only works if the person doesn’t believe in the tattoo or who it stands for.”
He put his hand on your face. “It’s okay. It will work.”
You took a deep breath and followed right behind Draco.
“Lucius, our son is here. He brought someone to meet you.” Narcissa said.
Lucius turned to look at Draco.
“Hello father. This is my girl—"
“Is this the girl you talked about all summer?”
Draco rolled his eyes. “Yes.” He pulled you out from behind him again. “She would like to try something.” He looked at you and nodded.
You stepped forward. “Hello sir.” You said and did a small curtsy. He nodded at you.
“May I?” you pointed to his arm. He nodded again as he held out his arm. You rolled up his sleeve and saw his tattoo was moving just like Draco’s was.
“Um. Mrs. Malfoy, could you come here, please.”
She came closer. You took her hand and put it on Lucius’ arm.
“What is going on?”
“Father, just go with it.” He said then showed Lucius his arm.
You just kept you focus on Lucius arm. His tattoo stopped moving once Narcissa touched it, she was amazed. You moved her hand to Lucius’, and you held on to his wrist. You put your wand at the top and did what you did to Draco. After a few minutes it stopped fading. You turned and looked at Draco. He knew exactly what you meant.
“Father, do you really believe in that? Did you ever?” Lucius looked at Draco.
“I only did it… to protect my family.” He reached out and held Draco’s hand.
You quickly finished before any thoughts of doubt came back. And after 30 seconds the whole thing was gone. You backed away. Narcissa let go if his hand so he could look at it. He felt it. He looked at his family and then hugged them. You stood there smiling, happy you could bring his family together. Then Narcissa reached out and grabbed your arm. She brought you into the hug. Draco looked at you and smiled.
“Okay, we should probably get back to school.”
“Okay, but you bring her back.”
“Yes, mum.”
He took your hand and walked out of his house. When you guys were outside you wrapped your arms around him. He just smiled.
“You did great.” He said and kissed you on the forehead.
When you guys got to the end of the walkway you stopped, turned, and hugged.
