"Draco, mate, we're your best friends you can tell us anything." said Blaise
"Yeah, even if you happen to be dating Granger." Theo added

"Is Granger the girl you needed date ideas for?" Pansy asked

"Any lucky witch in your life yet, mate? I hear Granger has a Slytherin boyfriend. Maybe I could hook you up with one of her friends." said Theo
Draco has scowled at him for that.

Draco had been planning this moment for a while now. With the rumors spreading and his friends asking questions, he knew it had to be now. He wasn't sure what to expect. His friends used to be (or still could be), Pureblood supremacists'. He wasn't sure how they would react to the news that he, the boy who used to despise Muggle-borns, had a Muggle-born girlfriend.
While his friends had said some things against Muggle-borns during their years at Hogwarts, nobody was as bad as Draco had been. Except maybe Pansy, but she had changed since she started dating Blaise.
They hadn't seemed to be upset when asking Draco if the rumors were true, but that was before they had any solid proof that what people were saying was true.
"Theo, sit the fuck back down you haven't been down her for over a minute and you already want to leave." Draco said, "It's hurting my feelings." Draco made a pouty face and put his hand on his heart, "I thought you would have enjoyed spending some time with me."
"I'm sitting back down, bloody hell you're dramatic sometimes." Theo said
"Is there a reason why you've gathered the three of us in the common room? I really want to get some lunch." Pansy said
"I'mactuallydatingGranger." Draco said quickly
"I'm sorry I really didn't understand that. Did you just say that you're dating Granger?"
"Yes. I'm dating Hermione Granger and we spent Christmas together after her idiotic friends found out and got mad at her." Draco said
"You? Dating Granger? Now that's a surprise." said Theo
"Is it really though?" Pansy asked, "I mean I was obsessed with you a few years ago and I noticed quite a few things. Like how you looked at her during the Yule Ball for example."
"I saw you kissing her in the corridors once. This really isn't surprising to me." said Blaise
"The rumors out there are getting more and more ridiculous by the day. I think it's time that you and Granger make it official before things get out of control." Pansy said
"Wait, so you're all ok with me dating Granger? A Muggle-born?" Draco asked
"Yes" Everybody said in sync
"Great. That's good. Great. Ok. I'm going to go now." Draco said
"Tell your girlfriend we said hello." Theo said as Draco walked out of the common room.

"I finally told my friend." Draco said as soon as he got to Hermione
"That's great, Draco. It was about time you told them. With all the rumors spreading it was a good idea to come clean and deny all the crazy accusations people are making." Hermione said, "Besides, I knew it was hard for you to keep it a secret from them."
"They were a bit surprised but they were surprisingly ok with it. Blaise said he caught us kissing one time, Pansy noticed me watching you during the Yule Ball so she wasn't sure if she was surprised or not, and Theo well... he was being Theo." Draco said
"Well I'm glad that they accept our relationship. It's nice that both of our friends are accepting. I really wasn't expecting your friends to be accepting, but I'm glad they do. They've come a long way since the end of the war, just like you have."
"I'm really glad they've changed. Especially because I was the one who made them all hate Muggle-born's when we were younger. I used to think I was such a good influence on them but I really wasn't." Draco said
"Well it's good that they changed they're way of thinking even if they thought you wouldn't. I'm glad that everything worked out in the end. Your friends are accepting, my friends are getting there, your mother likes me, my mother likes you and my father is giving you a chance. It couldn't get much better than that." Said Hermione
"Well I'm going to take you on a picnic now. I already have everything set up."
