Please don't leave me.

"I slept around with a few people. Nothing serious." Jinx said, spinning in her chair. You had been gone in Piltover for a week, on a mission for Silco that required you to go no contact with Jinx while you were there. It was a bit of an argument for you to go. Jinx had been so scared that you wouldn't come back that you promised to find a way to send her something daily with a note to remind her that you weren't going to be gone permanently. You had made sure a flower with a note tied to it had made it to the place you stayed together every day during your absence. You couldn't get anything sent back to you, since she didn't know your location, but you assumed she had received them. By the bouquet of seven flowers sitting on the table, you knew she had.

"Nothing serious? Are you kidding?" I said to her, the blood in my veins boiling. When you got back, Sevika had mentioned to you that Jinx had spent a lot of time at The Last Drop, usually leaving with her arms around a stranger's shoulders. The only reason why you hadn't come straight to Jinx when you returned was because you had to let Silco know you completed your mission successfully and relay the information you gathered. Sevika caught you as you were on the way to yours and Jinx's hideout. You were hurt that she'd do that, but you couldn't say you were surprised. Jinx had always been one to be restless.

"It wasn't a big deal. It didn't mean anything. I was just bored."

"You were bored, so you decided to cheat on your girlfriend instead of, I don't know, building explosives or something?"

"I didn't think you'd make it a thing. Why are you freaking out so much?" She picked up something she was working on and turned it in her hands. Her legs were hanging on the armrest and the other armrest was a support for her back. She pressed a button on her device and threw it at you. It exploded into a cloud of pink in your face, and you waved the smoke away and coughed. When you could see her through the fog, her head was upside down and she was stretched out over the chair.

"Because I trusted you. This isn't the kind of relationship where you can run around with whoever you want." You looked at her for a moment before staring at the ground. "I thought you would know that. I thought I meant more to you than that."

"You do mean more to me than they do. I thought you would know that. That's why I'm saying it's not a big deal."

You shook your head, turning your back to her and starting to walk towards the door. You needed a minute alone. Actually, you needed a lot more than a minute. You weren't sure if you really wanted to see her again for a while.

You felt her hand grab your arm, her nails digging into your skin. "Wait. I didn't mean it, okay? I'm sorry. It won't happen again, I promise." She said to you. "Just please don't leave me."

You didn't turn around. You simply pulled your arm from her grip, ignoring the way her nails scratched your skin roughly as you pulled away. She left a red hand-print on your forearm with how tightly she had a hold of you. "I don't believe you, Jinx." You said quietly as you opened the door. You paused before stepping out, even as the sting of betrayal pierced your heart and twisted your insides into knots.

"No. Please," Jinx had your shirt twisted in her hands now. Her voice sounded broken. "Please don't leave. Please don't leave me here. I'm sorry. I can't live without you. Please, love, don't leave me here!" Her voice got more desperate as you continued out the door, shutting it in her face behind you. You didn't even turn when you heard her sobs through the door, growing into screams the farther away you went.

When you turned the corner onto the main street, your heart was torn apart. You could still hear her loud cries for you as the tears streamed down your face, but you didn't turn back. It was too late, and despite your longing for her, you knew you weren't coming back.
