Cain Eden, the Second Sinner
Cain didn't dislike the princess by any accounts but he wouldn't be lying if he said he wasn't here for the hotel. He adored the idea of reuniting with his brother, Abel but he had given up on that fantasy so long ago, it didn't mean anything to him.
Still, he was smiling and assisting Charlie in every way he could. His mother deserved paradise. This pit may have illustrated to his mother that Adam was the embodiment of all sins and never deserved her devotion but that didn't mean she deserved to be here.
Cain walked alongside Charlie as he forced a smile. He saw what Charlie couldn't. Countless imp corpses were lacing the streets. A part of him wanted to believe they were from a fight and not from the annual genocide of sinners but the second sinner knew better.
The second sinner felt sick as that day flashed in his mind. He wielded an angelic steel axe as he slaughtered exorcist angel after exorcist angel. His mother was using her spellbook to defend herself only none of her spells worked.
He never got to see the angel who shot a blast of angelic light toward their house. Cain wasn't idiotic enough not to have a guess. It had been almost a century since Eve's death and something told him the engagement ring on one of his mother's fingers set the angel off.
Cain shook the memory off only to see a concerned expression on Charlie's face.
"It's nothing, Princess. Just a bad memory. We learnt from it and nothing like that has happened since. It was a few centuries ago. It's just seeing his people's corpses triggers the memory. That's all," Cain explained.
"Cain, hellborn are...," Charlie began saying.
The second sinner began laughing, cutting the princess off.
"Hellborns are pardoned from the annual genocide, what a joke," Cain thought as he laughed.
"Cain, you've seen hellborn demons be killed by exorcist angels?" Charlie questioned, concerned.
"Hundreds of times. The first time was the first Extermination. An angel burned our house with an angelic blast. I'm pretty sure the engagement ring on one of my mother's fingers set him off. Then there were the countless others. I would kill every angel I could that was approaching the hellborn-populated areas of Pride but even then, thousands still died," Cain answered.
"YOU KNOW HOW TO KILL ANGELS! AND YOU NEVER THOUGHT TO TELL ANYONE!" Charlie screamed.
"You guys haven't figured it out yet. It's been centuries. I did it with my first guess," Cain remarked.
Charlie buried her head into her hands for a moment.
She was in a nightmare, right? Cain couldn't be that stupid but then, it clicked. Cain and Eve lived at the edge of Pride. That wasn't even counting for the fact, they surround themselves with hellborn demons.
Then there was the fact, they knew none of the overlords. Even if they knew them by name, it would be because one of their employees mentioned them.
"How do you kill angels?" Charlie asked.
"The same way you kill Ars Goetia and sinners," Cain answered.
