Summary
war era marauders fic, told through the many diaries and journals of the characters. short chapters and frequent updates are my goal. hopefully this is a war era fix that won't make anyone cry, but you all know my writing, so we'll see where it goes. i have a vague plot idea but honestly it could change at any moment.

Strap in Dan, we've got a lot to cover.

So there's the mission, right? Well that's all well and good, nothing too bad, I can go stop the dark lord from doing his evil shit and all, right? Wrong, because no one will let me go. But now of course you're thinking "Well surely if you can't go at least they won't send two of your best friends and your fiancee right?" Oh Dan, you couldn't be more wrong.

But even then Dan, even then I kept my chin up. I was worried, but I pushed through. Until this. We get a letter from Lily, which is the first sign something's up because she's usually up my arse about unnecessary contact during missions. The second sign is that in the letter, she's acting like we planned to hear from any of them, which we didn't.

And she didn't sound like herself. Frank reckons it wasn't even her, but I know her handwriting. I know her too, and she's smarter than any of us. It's got to be some kind of code or something, but I can't crack it. No one else is any help either, they think it's not her and we should just ignore it. They think I'm being paranoid or overprotective or whatever bullshit they think.

But I know it's her.

And I know she's not safe.
