Prologue

Blaise was pretty sure that he messed up. He wasn’t used to messing things up. He wasn’t used to feel like he couldn’t somehow manage to get what he wanted. Jet, here he was, admiring the very much married couple that he had somehow managed to catch feelings for. Remus and Sirius Lupin-Black where absolutely gorgeous, handsome, sexy and so out of his league. He had always thought that no one was out of his league, but an older married couple that had a Godchild his age? That seemed impossible.

Harry thankfully didn’t mind his feelings and was in a similar but easier situation. Not that he wished for anyone to be in this Situation, but having someone to talk to was nice. His other Friends were either already in a relationship, not interested in anyone, or they were just too dumb to realize that they could already be in the relationship they wanted. Mr and Mr Lupin-Black where dancing across the Ballroom laughing, flirting and teasing each other. The first time he had seen them was years ago, in the Summer holidays after his first year on Harry’s Birthday. It had started right there with admiration, the years turned it into a Crush, but only at his graduation it had turned into much more than that. He wasn’t used to wanting someone, let alone two someone's like this. He had never wanted anything serious before. Furthermore, he had snogged a ton of people, but he had never even thought about a relationship.

Harry groaned next to him, staring at Gregory Malfoy with the same longing he held for the Lupin-Black Pair. „You two are a disaster, honestly,“ Draco chuckled before bowing to Astoria and asking her for a dance. They joined Daphne and Pansy on the Dance floor close to them.  „Dance with me, it’s better than standing here looking like two Idiots,“ Blaise suggested and Harry put his Hand on his with a sign. „Alright, you’re leading,“ Harry ordered. Harry had met Gregory Malfoy at Draco's Birthday Party in their second year and had been in love ever since. Harry hadn’t known himself, and had managed to keep most people from figuring it out for a long time because of it. Blaise and Draco had been there with him when he had realized his feelings, it had been quite funny. Harry had blushed scarlet and groaned loudly. Blaise had found it amusing-that was before he had fallen utterly for the Lupin-Blacks. „I find it quite insulting that you fancy my Uncle instead of me,“ Draco had teased in to posh sounding voice. About two years later, Blaise had his realization. All his Friends were there, he had been busily staring at the couple the whole Graduation ceremony, ogling them, nearly drooling. How could he not? They had looked ready to eat in those Robes. At the After party, their Friend group and their Families had at the Lake  at Hogwarts it had dawned on him. Instead of blushing like Harry, he had groaned and hurried away from the Couple, as if that would erase his feelings. Draco and Harry had followed him and had watched with amusement, horror and sympathy how he lost his composure. He had ended up laying on a Rock watching the Clouds move, pouting. Then he had sat up and stared at his Friends with annoyance: „Are you telling me that the first time I am interested in something serious with anyone it has to be a happily married Couple of Men in their late thirties?!“ He hadn’t handled it very well. He had tried to ignore it, but quickly realized that that had been a stupid dream. Then he had tried to distract himself with someone else, only to realize he imagined it was them. A fail again. Then he had tried not to see them, which had failed not 24 hours later. Then he had tried to talk himself out of love, as if that had ever worked for anyone. After a couple of other stupid failed tries he had accepted it reluctantly.

They had been dancing for a few songs, and Blaise led Harry away from the Dance floor. They went to where their friends and their Families stood, standing between the Malfoy's and Potters. Joining the conversation about the most resent passed laws. Out of the corner of his eye, Blaise saw the Lupin-Blacks exiting the Dance floor. Without any surprise, they ended up with the Potters. Blaise was used to being around adults for a long time, his mother either dragged him to these things or she left him alone with adults-or both. He had grown up quickly. Talking about Adult topics with Adults was more than easy for him. It wasn’t that weird for him to not see his Mother on a Ball. She attended the most luxurious ones all over Europe with either her newest Husband or on search for the next one. She had taught him a lot. Mostly how to take care of his body and mind, but she wasn’t a good mother. She was never at home, he had grown up alone at home, with Nannies and had spent a lot of time with Friends. Mostly Theo and Draco before Hogwarts. He had claimed his Lord-titles at his 17. Birthday, the Zabini Title from his Father in Italy, as well as multiple titles from four of his former, now dead, Stepfathers. One being a Lord Title in France of the Family Allaire, another Italian one of the Italian Family Severino and two British ones: those of the Families Sallow and Wright. He was quite powerful thanks to his mother’s…questionable Activities. His mother had never dragged him into it, thankfully. Being aware that all your mother's husbands die in questionable Circumstances was bad enough. Thankfully, he knew that she had truly loved his father, who had died when he was five. Thanks to all of that, he knew how to talk to adults. That might help him to have actual conversations with the Lupin-Blacks, but that didn’t exactly help much in the romance department. Especially since Sirius in particular didn’t much care about most of such talk. Harry next to him actually managed to talk to Gregory alone a few times, which was progress. Draco had been right, they were a disaster.
