Chapter 2
Gryffindor 2021
Leo’s phone began to ring as he sat down at the table with the team at Sids. He sighed and answered the phone, ignoring the looks he’s getting from the other guys.
“Leo can you take the Double Troubles, I have a late appointment tonight who wants a half arm sleeve and June is still at work making arrangements for a wedding tomorrow.” The buzzing sound of her tattoo gun could be heard in the background along with a gruff groan from some wimp getting a tattoo.
“I mean I’m at a team dinner right now for the game we travel for here soon, let me ask the team.” He moves the phone away from his ear looking at the table “Y’all mind if the Twins come to join us?”
“As if we would give up chance to see Monsters.” Kuny smiles at him, he and Jackson along with a few others on the team had all gotten tattooed by Ink at this point so they all had gotten close to her and the kids.
“Yeah, bring them in its good practice” Remus smiles at him, he and Sirius have been talking about adopting for a while so they babysat all the time.
“Alright, you guys asked for this. Remember that!” He put the phone back up to his ear telling Ink he was on his way to pick them up. He gave the team a salute as he put his coat on and walked out the door.
“We should probably grab some chairs for them, next to Leo?” Thomas stood up to grab two more chairs. Finn and Logan shared a look.
“Put one chair between Nado and Kuny and one between Remus and Sirius.” Logan looks down at the menu to make sure to order for the twins because Olive would be too busy talking and ogling Kuny to order. While Otto would talk about cool medical facts with Remus while Sirius looked completely smitten. They all ordered their slices and Finn ordered for Otto whileLogan ordered for Olive. As soon as the food arrived the three southern cuties walked in the restaurant.
They liked to rent Sids out every once in a while to have some privacy and luckily this was one of those times. The monsters ran in the door and sprinted to the empty seats. Olive snuggled up to Kuny while smiling wide with her front tooth missing, while Ott sat next to Remus and pulled out a small book full of space facts.
“I hope I didn’t miss much.” He sits between his boys across from Jackson and two seats away from Remus. He could still see both his kids and that put him at ease a little.
“We decided to interrogate your offspring” Dumo smiles his scheming smile and looks towards Olive. “You wouldn’t mind sharing stories would you?
“Depends”
“How about you favorite songs”
“WAP” “Montero '' They say at the same time while chowing down on their pizzas like what they said wasn’t odd for five year olds. Everyone looks at Leo who is chewing his pizza and he stops mid chew to raise an eyebrow.
“Wha?” He says with his mouth full. Finn is hiding his smile behind his hand because Holy Shit was Leo gonna get an ear full from Dumo.
“Those aren’t kid songs…” Dumo looks at Olive then Otto narrowing his eyes. He leans forward in his chair resting his elbows on the table. “Who lets you listen to that kind of music?”
Olive scrunches her eyebrows looking almost offended by this question. She is about to answer when Leo cuts her off.
“We don’t censor around them Dumo, they are going to get exposed to it sometime might as well make it a positive experience.”
“This young! Leo I know you are young yourself but this will make them grow up-”
“Dumo, do I ever comment on your parenting?” Leo takes a sip of his water and raises his eyebrow in a way of telling Dumo to answer his question. “You parent your way, I’ll parent my way. I’m not going to repress my kids into acting out as teenagers. I want them to trust me with everything and they can’t do that if I’m hiding parts of the world from them.”
“Dumo, your elbows are on the table and that's rude.” Otto states as he flicks an olive at his sister while everyone else is still a little stunned at Leo. Olive laughs and catches it in her mouth. “Oh Daddy, someone at the mall called mama a slute yesterday and she threw my waterbottle at them!”
“It's pronounced slut dumbdumb!” Olive sticks her tongue out at him as Kuny and a couple others can’t help but giggle a little at them for chirping Dumo and one correcting the other on bad word pronunciation.
“Good for her, I’m glad she is teaching you to stand up for yourselves.” Leo smiles as Olive bounces in her seat a little as the chatter at the table picks up again and Nado wipes her face. Otto is showing Sirius where his star in the sky is in his little book barely even paying attention to the world around him.
Olive is talking to Kuny in choppy Russian she has been picking up from him causing Him, Sergi, and Sunny to chuckle at how terrible her accent is. Otto is now talking very enthusiastically to Thomas about all the cool pokemon cards he found on Finn’s dresser when he was snooping the other night.
Dumo gave Leo an apologetic look and he just smiled at Dumo. He understood why some parents don’t like his and Ink’s style of parenting but this was how he was raised and he turned out pretty well… besides the whole having kids at fifteen but he also never got the sex talk. Which he planned to give his kids because he did not want to be a grandfather at 30.
Dumo went on asking the twins more fun questions and some answers had the boys almost crying from laughing so hard.
Leo never felt more at home.
