In the travers home the elf tries to get her mistress ready. She doesn't know all the details, but this is important to her master.
‘Mistress. You must dress. We needs to leave soon.’
‘No Lei. I can't.’
Tav enters the room. ‘Come on love we have somewhere to be. I promise you will like this surprise.’
‘You always say that.’
‘This time is different love. I need you to come with me to Hogwarts.’
‘No, I can't. It would be too hard.’
‘You can. Get ready Lei will bring you when I call. I need to set up the surprise. Please for me?’
‘If I must but you know I can't be around children…. Not after….’
‘I know, love just this once then I will never ask it of you again.’
She tries to smile but he can see the pain in her eyes. With a quick kiss he guides her to the bathroom.
‘Lei please have her ready within the hour. As soon as breakfast ends the students will be ready to meet their families.’
‘Of course, Master. Mistress has waited for this day for so long.’
‘Just a little longer. I must go. I need to assist because I am on the School Board.’
‘Go master, when you call, I will bring mistress.’
‘Thank you.’
Tav Travers walks to the floo and calls out the Potion Master's address.

‘Misters’ Black why is my patient sitting up? He is in no state to support himself this way. We have discussed this.’
The twins stand beside their father looking slightly more worried at these words but interrupt as soon as they can.
‘Wait before you get upset, can you check him?’
‘Please he seems stronger.’
Regulus nods his head in agreement. She gives all three men a stern look but does as asked.
‘Your core is 15% stronger than it was yesterday, we have only been gaining 1-3% a day. What has changed?’
‘House elf magic. Depending on how often they can do this I think he may recover faster than we thought.’
‘Please have the elves here when I return tomorrow.’
The twins nod in agreement. After a moment of thought, Healer Jayna excuses herself to check on her other patients.

Alright everyone. I need the parents that raised the children to wait on the left and the parents that are to meet their children to wait on the right. I think the students will be more comfortable with familiar faces to start with. If anyone cannot get along you will be escorted from the premises and the Aurors will be informed. We are all here to assist these children. Parents who raised the children please come with me. I will return in about 30 minutes for everyone else. You will then be escorted to your child. Once everyone is seated a staff member will come around to cast the heritage spell to validate your blood lines. If you know the spell, feel free to perform it yourself. This will help everyone be at ease in knowing with certainty. There are small tables around the entire great hall. Not everyone will be at a table alone. Some families will need to share but rest assured that they are experiencing a similar situation as yourselves.
Minerva walks away as the various parents attempt to organize themselves.

‘Col? Can we stay at the same table?’
‘Of course, Denis. They need to know that we are united.’
‘Do you think mum and dad will come all the way here?’
‘I'm not sure, you know how busy dad is at work. Hardly ever takes a full day off.’
‘But mum?’
‘Here she comes, Den let's see what she has to say.’
‘Mum?’
Mrs. Creevy approaches the table but doesn't sit. ‘I'm here to tell you both that we had no idea you were adopted until someone arrived to change our memories. Your father says that if they will take you then we will no longer interrupt your lives. There is no reason to pretend we are a family when we never were one in the first place.’
‘Mum?’ Denis looks about ready to cry. Colin hugs his brother protectively.
‘If that is all, maybe you should leave, we wouldn't want to be a bother any longer than necessary.’
‘I need to be sure-’
‘No, you need to leave, we will be fine, don't worry yourself for a moment longer.’
Seeing the look on his son's face, Tav Tavers decides to intervene before the allotted wait time.
‘Son? Everything alright?’
‘Mrs. Creevey needs to be escorted home. If possible, they should not remember the magical world. Anything of ours can be removed at that time as well. They are no longer our family.’
‘You are certain?’
‘It's what they want. How can I deny them their desires?’
‘I will arrange it. Come with me, Mrs. Creevey.’
Tav walks over to Severus Snape and whispers a few words before returning to his son... Snape escorts the unemotional woman back to her home before summoning the obliviators.
When Travers reaches the table again, he is surprised to see Remus Lupin.
‘Remus?’
‘Tav?’
‘I didn't know you would be here.’
‘Well, I received an interesting letter and had to see if it was true.’
‘If you perform the spell on myself and Colin, I will be able to assist you and…?’
‘Denis's sir and no matter what the spell says Col and I are still brothers.’
‘Of course you are. If I remember right Remus had some significant brothers in his house as well.’
‘Really?’
‘I will tell you about it sometime.’
‘Col where will we live?’
‘Let’s ask?’
‘Umm… I'm staying with friends at the moment.’
‘You can both stay with us if you like? We have plenty of space or if you prefer you can use a nearby property?’
‘I'm not sure.’
‘What about mum?’
‘Ya my mum too?’
‘I'm sorry to say this but I didn't even know your mum's name, you were a surprise from a night at the pub.’
‘Do you want to know her name? I have my results here.’
‘Thank you, son.’ Remus became quiet as he stared at the parchment.
‘Boys let's give him a moment. Colin, I think it's time I call your mum. She may become…. Emotional.’
‘That's ok, I think I understand.’
‘Lei? It's time.’
‘Master calls. This was more than an hour; the mistress was thinking you forgot her.’
‘I'm sorry my love, I'm here. Please sit. I have that surprise, remember we talked about it?’
She nods slowly.
‘I need you to stand here while I perform a spell. Maybe you recognize it?’
Tav began the incantation, and he saw his wife's eyes fill with pain. She looks down at the two boys standing next to her. She begins to shake her head until she sees the spell proving that this is true.
‘My baby? You found him?’
‘Yes love, his name is Colin, he has adopted the brother he was raised with. Denis is Remus Lupin's son. Remember Remus?’
‘Remus? What's wrong with him?’
‘He learned who he fathered a child with. Let's sit and talk while he finds his voice again.’
‘Of course. Tell us about yourselves? Both of you. You are brothers so I need to learn about both of you.’
Lei looks at Tav. ‘Mistress happy.’
‘Yes, she is much happier now, but we still need to be cautious. You can rest until she returns to the manor. I will call you when we arrive. If you wish you can find Severus, he is gathering the boys' things from the muggle home they no longer live in.’
‘Of course, Master. I help Sevvy then rest til Mistress home.’ -pop-
Noticing the way his old classmate is trying to ask a question Tav asks, ‘Remus?’
‘She… wasn't she, in Azkaban?’
‘Yes.’
‘For the birth? I can't imagine. Siri tries not to talk about it….’
‘Stay with us we can look into her case and see what needs to be done.’
‘I couldn't impose.’
‘Would you rather separate the boys?’
‘No but…’
‘So, you would abandon him then?’
‘Never.’
‘My wife will not let Colin leave anytime soon; she may even become his shadow. The boys want to stay together. The best option is for you to stay too. Please, it is the best option for now.’
‘Alright but…’
‘No buts, this is for family. You and Denis are family now. You can't get away from it. And Sirius is always welcome.’
‘Alright. We will discuss it again another time. Thank you.’
‘Agreed.’ Both men turn their attention to the witch excitedly discussing classes with the boys.
