Chapter 10
Fleur had led misses and Mr. Weasley to the outside porch, wishes for a more private conversation, and she knew how the twins were after all, there was no way that they would not try to overhear the conversation should they stay in the house. She may not have been a Weasley for long, but she had been with Bill for long enough that she was quite capable of figuring that part out for herself. She had both experienced their unbearably adorable eavesdropping attempts, as well as heard about plenty of their mischievous habits that she knew that any sort of more private conversation would need to be held outside rather then inside. She did not want to risk putting such sensitive information within their hands. As much as she wanted to believe that they would not spread it around, the reality was that she was not sure that they would not do so. Therefore it was necessary to ensure that she was alone and that the Twins were busy. It was much easier then she had thought that it would be, but either way, this conversation was necessary. She just hoped that it would end well, though she did not doubt the Weasleys.
"So, what is it that you wanted to talk about?" Mr. Weasley said instantly. Misses Weasley shot her husband a dirty look. Arthur liked to get to the crux of things, and could be a bit crass after all, though it was not really that surprising. Fluer could not help but smile lightly at the interactions between the couple. It was refreshing to see them so laid back and themselves. Though Miss Weasley was rather exasperated with her husband, it was obvious she was fond of him as well, and that was what really led her to love these two so much. She admired them and their care for each other and all of their children. It was admirable, after all.
"Before we get into all of that," she said with an ever so slightly annoyed tone, directed, of course, at her husband. He seemed to know it as well and backed down. He supposed that it was to be expected, and of course he would never challenge her. If there was one thing that you did not do it was get Molly angry. You would have her wrath to deal with then, and it was never pleasant. She could be a downright terror if she truly wanted to be. "I just wanted to say that it is lovely to see you again, Dear." Arthur sighed inwardly. He supposed that he should have started with that, and it was undoubtedly the reason why Molly was annoyed with him. In his defense, he was curious. His curiosity, as Molly had always said, would be his downfall, and he had a feeling that she was correct on that one.
It was indeed a big deal after all, for Molly to say that they were pleased to see her again. Fluer especially loved hearing it, and she doubted that she would really get tired of finally being accepted into the family despite everything. Fleur and Molly had been forced to deal with some rather difficult differences. The biggest being that Fleur was from a rather wealthy family, and as such, was raised very different. Though her love and admiration, and care for Bill was indeed genuine, which was the inevitable patching of their relationship. Molly had believed that Fleur was perhaps leading Bill on, which caused her not to trust Fleur. Molly had suspected it because, well, as said before, Fluer was from a wealthy family, and the Weasleys, while pure in wizarding blood, were incredibly poor. Though all things were cleared up AFTER Bill had been attacked by that werewolf. No, he was not a werewolf, but he had gotten quite a bit of nasty scars that ended up marring his complexion. He was no longer the handsome pureblood, and yet, despite Bill's own insistence that she find a better looking, more noble husband, Fleur had stayed by him. Even chewed him out for considering such things. It was a sight to see.
"What is it you needed to speak with us about dear?" Miss Weasley asked curiously.
"I do believe that Draco is a Veela." Arthur and Molly laughed goodheartedly. Until they realized that Fleur was not kidding, at which point their laughter trailed off slightly, in nervousness.
"Are you serious?" Fleur looked quite offended at that.
"Of course. This is not something that I would joke about, Miss, these things are very important."
"What she means to say..." Arthur said, cutting off his wife's soon to be rant at her own defense. He knew that that could take forever, and they definitely did not have forever. "Is that, how can you be certain that is what Draco is?" Fleur just leveled her deep blue eyes onto Arthur, making him squirm in discomfort. Those eyes had the power to squash any lesser being, and right now, Arthur certainly did not envy Bill. How he could possibly stand the sheer amount of glaring that Fleur must do during an argument....well, let's just say Arthur doubted that even the Minister could handle the French girl's stare without feeling drastic bouts of discomfort.
"I am Veela, Arthur Weasley, I think I would be capable of filtering out who is and who is not Veela. That boy in there is most certainly Veela, and a powerful one at that. Who is to say that he has had any training at all? I must take him with me to see some friends of mine to determine just how dangerous he is to himself."
"What do you mean?" Molly asked, instantly worried.
"Veela are very emotional, Miss Weasley, it would not be good if Draco Malfoy fell into a depressive state."
"How good is not good?"
"Very, very, very, not good."
"Merlin..."
"What?" Molly asked curiously?
"Molly, dear, we left him with Ron. Who is known for his sharp tongue and lack of brain cells." Molly's eyes widened.
"Oh, merlin!"
