“Wesley, I need help with Charms.” Asked, well, more like said a voice as they pulled out a chair. Louis nearly jumped out of his seat. The person laughed.
“Relax, Wesley, it’s just me.” They said. Turns out it was Mattie Quinn and Louis breathed out a partial sigh of relief before shushing them.
“Shh! This is a library! You’re supposed to be quiet!” Mattie mocked him.
“You’re making more noise than me, Wesley.” They whispered, amused. Louis pinched his nosebridge and internally sighed.
“Right, what do you want? Also it’s Weasley, not Wesley.”
“Right Wesley.” Mattie whispered before drumming their fingers on their Charms book. Louis pulled the fingers off of Mattie’s book because it was annoying him. Mattie rolled their eyes.
“Anyway, I need help in Charms.”
Louis furrowed his eyebrows. He knew what this meant.
“You mean you want me to give you answers?”
He asked, raising an eyebrow skeptically. Mattie grinned, somewhat resembling a dog. It was kind of cute, Louis thinks.
“Well, you’re right!” They said, pointing finger guns at him with a wink and a ‘tsk’ noise. Louis rolled his eyes.
“Well I’m not helping you.”
Mattie looked offput for a second before a mischievous smirk appeared on their face. Louis had a bad feeling about this.
“Well you have no other choice, Professor Flitwick sent me to tell you that you have to tutor me.” They said, holding out a small piece of paper. Horrified, Louis grabbed the piece of paper, and sure enough, Quinn was right. He had to tutor them.
Just my luck, Louis thought bitterly. It’s not like Quinn was a mean person, they weren’t, but Louis just didn’t like them that much. Too loud for his taste. The only loud person he could take was Teddy. Maybe Fred II and James if he was in a good mood, even though Fred II and James took after Teddy with that.
Louis groaned quietly. “Fine, I’ll tutor you. But you better try. I am not giving you the answers.” Quinn grinned, and ruffled his hair and left, not before yelling. “Thanks, Wesley, you’re a life-saver!”
“For the last time, it’s Weasley, not Wesley!” Louis said, straightening his hair.
“Shh!” The librarian shushed harshly.
