Prologue…
So, Hali Potter, is born to Lily (Loki) Potter nee Evans, and Poseidon (he possessed James), but Lily made sure that James blood-adopted Hali, so she could take on the Potter Headship.
When James and Lily die, Hali survives and is dropped off at the Dursleys. They never find her the next morning. Hydra had picked her up.
They do a bunch of experiments on her, and give her wings (based on a Valkyrie).
She is renamed Valkyrie, and used in a similar way to Soldat (he trained her) and is used to assassinate and infiltrate.
When she is 7, her base and handlers are blown up, she doesn’t have a tracker on her due to Hydra being paranoid and not thinking she has enough of an identity to try to run away.
Sally finds her, and helps her learn to become a child. During the explosion that destroyed her base, Valkyrie’s face was messed up a bit, so she could only see out of one eye, and the bone structure changed a bit too, so Hydra couldn’t find her by facial recognition even if they didn’t think she was dead. The explosion also stripped her hair of any color, leaving it a pure white.
She got along really well with Sally, who nicknamed her Val. But not with Sally’s husband, Smelly Gabe. She took Sally’s last name, as Sally was the one who adopted her, and not Gabe, so her new name was Valkyrie (Val) Jackson.
Everyone is their normal ages unless specified otherwise.
Lightning Thief…
Val is 8.
She goes to the boarding school and meets Grover and Mr Brunner. Lightning Thief happens, except, Val decides that she’s going to do the quest on her own, and so demands the coordinates, and steals Annabeth’s cap (whom Val doesn’t like), and then flies off. She completes the quest in record time, with her doing all the major stop-ins; Aunty Em’s, The Arch, The Waterpark (after a delightful discussion with Ares, whom she rather likes), Los Angeles (with the Underworld), the Lotus Casino (where she meets Nico and Bianca, both who are older, Bianca being 11 and Nico being 9, she helps them to get out and into a proper school, with Alecto’s help too), and finally, Olympus.
At Olympus, she gets permission from Zeus to keep flying, so long as it’s only under her own power (i.e Wings and eventually a broom) though she can ride flying creatures (e.g pegasus, dragon, hippogriff etc).
She goes back to camp, and all’s good until Luke betrays her (which sucked because she really liked him, and looked up to him like an older brother).
She manages to get control over the pit scorpion’s blood (it’s only small, and she’s panicking… sooo, adrenaline) and kills it before it can hurt her, unfortunately, by that time, Luke is gone.
She gives Annabeth her cap back.
She goes back to Sally, and Medusa’s head is used to get rid of Gabe!
Sea of Monsters…
You know how that goes. She’s 9
Except, without Annabeth, cause Val don’t like her, and has no reason to let her tag along.
Val doesn’t get turned into a guinea pig, but she does learn the basics of magic from Circe, and starts practising that. Unfortunately, an accident releases the pirates, and Blackbeard kills Circe, the helpers manage to escape though, and Reyna and Hylla join her on her journey, but stay on the ship when they get to Polyphemus’s island, and then Val drops them off early in a different area along with Clarisse, before she, Tyson, and Grover are ambushed by Luke’s men. That all works out, as we well know. And Thalia wakes up - she’s 12.
Titan’s Curse…
So she’s now 10.
Everything goes as usual, except, Nico and Bianca remember Val from the Casino, and Nico isn’t quite so star-struck by her. Annabeth falls off the cliff still, because Chiron didn’t think that Val and Thalia would be able to not fight, but he still thought that it was important that they got along.
The Hunters come. Bianca joins them. They offer for Val to join them, but she doesn’t want to be immortal, so she declines for now.
They go on the quest.
Save Annabeth, Bianca and Zoe both die, but not before Zoe blesses Val to be able to use Anaklusmos to its full extent. Because Riptide isn’t just a sword, it can turn into any close combat weapon (so no bow or gun etc, but it can be a dagger, a broadsword, an axe! And spear etc).
Nico gets grumpy that Bianca died, and blames it on Val, for not protecting her (despite Val being younger) and he believes Val got in the way.
He leaves. Thalia becomes Lieutenant of the Hunters a week before her 13 B-day.
Philosopher’s Stone…
She’s now 11.
She returns to Sally, and they get visited by Dumbledore and McGonagall, and they explain about Val’s birth-parents (Val and Sally don’t say anything about Poseidon), and that her birth name was Hali Potter, and that the Potters had put her down to attend a school of magic.
Sally and Val agree for her to go to Hogwarts.
She goes, and is placed in Gryffindor, but she can’t really focus on her schoolwork because she’s constantly trying to plan for the war, which she knows is coming.
So she’s constantly training, rather than learning, and when Ronald and Hermione, who have both sort of just latched onto her, try to drag her into the mystery of the philosopher’s stone, she’s a bit too preoccupied to pay much attention.
Except when Norbert happens, because come on, DRAGON! And she finds the centaurs really nice too. Not much to say about the wraith though.
When Hermione tells Val about the stone though, and how it helps to achieve immortality, Val knows it cannot be allowed to stay in the mortal world. So, she steals it and sends it via Hermes Express Packaging to her Uncle Hades, Lord of Souls, down in the Underworld. She sends a note with it explaining where she found it and what it can supposedly do. Hades is happy, and decides to use it to keep Nico from being the prophecy child (it pauses your age where it is, so he would remain at 12, but still be able to do stuff, and when he stops taking it, he will continue to age like normal).
Then the rest of Philosopher’s stone happens, with Val just pretending to not know anything about the stone when Dumbledore asks her.
Battle of the Labyrinth…
It happens as usual, Annabeth and Val are reluctantly paired together.
Everything is fine, the battle happens, all like normal.
Except there was no kiss before Mt St Helens. It was a hug instead.
They find Nico, he helps them, because Hades told him about the stone and how Val found it, and he’s grateful, and realises it;s not her fault etc.
Chamber of Secrets…
Val is 12.
She’s distracted once again this year, because of planning for the battle for Olympus, but all happens as usual. With Dobby stealing her letters, which she honestly doesn’t notice, but Nico drops her off at Diagon and she gets roped into staying at the Burrow with the Weasleys, so Ron chews her out for not replying.
When Dobby closes the barrier, rather than use the car with Ron, Val attempts to vapor travel like Bessie the Ophiotaurus does, and she appears in the Black lake by Hogwarts along with all her belongings except Hedwig, whom she had let fly ahead that morning.
Val is unconscious for several hours in the water, but, by the time the express arrives, Val is ready and waiting under the cloak to put her luggage with everyone else's, and slip right into the crowd, quickly getting an alias in the Gryffindor Quidditch team (who all sat together on the train), that she was with them the whole time, just in case Ron decided to throw her under the bus with him. He did try, but was unsuccessful. When she was asked by the team (and Ronald and Hermione) later, she simply said that she contacted her cousin who apparated her to Hogsmeade where she waited for the train. They all believed her.
Chamber of secrets all happens etc.
Last Olympian…
She’s still 12, almost 13.
The prophecy says “a half-blood child of the three eldest gods shall reach thirteen against all odds” rather than sixteen, but is otherwise the same.
It all happens as per the book, except, Luke gives Val the blade, and shows her where to stab, and when Val does so, she absorbs some of Kronos’ power over time. So Val could now be considered a demi-titan.
Her powers over time merely allow her to use a time turner further back than one day. She can go back as far as 2 years, and it won’t have any effect on how old she looks (so she’ll still look like she’s supposed to, not like she;s lived an extra year)
Heroes of Olympus…
All happens as per usual, for literally everything.
Except Annabeth and Val aren’t dating, and Annabeth doesn’t fall into the pit, it’s just Val.
And Val gets captured by Tartarus, and he tortures her, but she grew up being tortured, so it’s really not much worse than that.
And eventually she escapes, and most of the demigods end up dying during the final battle, with the survivors being Val, Leo, Reyna, Will, Nico, and Clarisse. Quite a lot of Hunters and Amazons survived, because they weren’t on the front lines, but the demigods were mostly gone. New Rome was still there, and Reyna was still their Praetor, but most of the legion was gone, and it was only those who had been left behind to defend the city who remained. Leo, Clarisse and Will went with Reyna and Chiron back to New Rome, along with Rachel and Ella, and the children who were deemed too young to fight (i.e 11 and under), and managed to survive the bloodshed. They had been hidden in Bunker 9, and were forced to avoid the battlefield to try to keep them from nightmares.
The Romans sent a cohort back to Camp Half-Blood, with the remaining Greeks, and did their best to clean it back up. Camp Half-Blood becomes a summer training camp for demigods, whilst they live in the city for the rest of the year, and the Gods move the whole camp (including the woods) to the border of New Rome, so that the camps are combined.
After all of this is sorted, Nico goes to live with his Dad, and Thalia remains with the hunters. The survivors have been sorted too.
And so, finally, Val returns to Sally and Paul, before going back in time 1 year (using a time turner she found in the attic at Camp) and begins her 3rd year at Hogwarts.
During this time, The Avengers’ Battle against Loki happens
Prisoner of Azkaban…
She’s 13 physically, but mentally at least 14 (time’s hard to measure in Tartarus).
Prisoner of Azkaban happens. She’s really out of it, with constant flashbacks to the pit, and Akhlys and the Mansion of Night (where she had to have her eyes open). And of the war. Which is why it literally takes Sirius showing up right in her face for her to do anything productive. She only manages to cast the patronus, because they survived. Some of them survived. And she beat Tartarus. She beat Gaia. She struck the killing blow, she has avenged her fallen. And she will continue to avenge them with every breath that she takes. Because those monsters don;t want her to keep living, they want to strike her down, so just to spite them, and to prove that demi-gods are strong, she will keep standing strong, and she will not think on mistakes and shame, because when you do that, you might as well give up, and let the monster eat you. And she will not go down without a fight, and none of her brethren did either.
So… Prisoner of Azkaban happens, she’s still recovering from the war.
Goblet of Fire…
She’s 14.
As normal, she’s still trying to recover mentally from the war, but is refusing to get help for her nightmares, and just doesn’t sleep when she’s able to stay awake. Most of the year, she is running on fumes, but she won;t sleep because she can see them every time she closes her eyes. Nico pops in every so often, they realise that the wards don;t stop Nico and Val from shadow/vapor travelling, so they’re both constantly visiting each other and Thalia, who’s learning how to travel via lightning, but she’s still not that good at it yet. Val doesn’t really pay too much attention when Ronald and Hermione start avoiding her when her name comes out of the Goblet, she’s just trying to focus on herself and her cousins.
The Tournament happens. Cedric’s death is just yet one more to add to the never ending list. Ronald and Hermione don’t try to apologise and continue to avoid her. She’s fine with that. She goes to the ball with Nico, but her captive for the second task is still Ronald.
Order of the Phoenix…
She’s 15.
Order of the Phoenix happens, except rather than them picking her up from the Dursleys, she’s been living in New Rome, because Sally died with Paul in a car crash, and they’re trying to contact Sally’s half-brother to take her in.
So Val just gives the social services her details in New Rome, and then goes to meet Mad-Eye, who approves of Val’s paranoia, and they go to Grimmauld.
Order of the Phoenix happens, except Ronald and Hermione still avoid her, and the DA isn’t formed. She goes to the ministry alone.
Life with the Avengers…
She gets chucked into Azkaban, and a year later gets released, this is after she committed suicide by Dementor and got eaten 7 times. (one for each horcrux that was still alive, Ring, Cup, Diadem, Locket, Snake, Val herself and Tom).
She goes to live with Sally’s half brother, a mortal by the name of Tony Stark.
That goes wonderfully note the sarcasm.
He completely ignores her, she’s simply the adopted daughter of a sister he never met. She;s only there because she had nowhere else to go.
She gets along great with Barnes too, which is another point against her. Barnes murdered her adoptive mother’s father, surely that deserves some level of contempt?
And Barnes likes her too, what Stark doesn’t realise is that Barnes remembers training Val, and having her familiar face is helping to bring back the memories. Plus, she knows what he’s been through, she went through it too.
So Stark ignores her, until Harley Keener and Peter arrive, and then Val’s cousins on her dad;s side pop over for a visit too.
Those 3 kids together worry the Avengers. There’s something slightly off putting about them when the three are together. Thor meets the cousins and they get along great, and when Loki is cleared and joins the Avengers, he too gets along great with the cousins.
Harley has a crush on Val, and Peter has a crush on Thalia, until Val mentions to Peter that Thalia is not interested in males, quickly nipping that in the bud.
Thalia has to leave quite quickly, going back to join the hunt, but Nico stays, and joins Val when she decides that she’s going to get into Midtown, which is where Peter and Harley go to school. Nico stopped using the stone after the first war, so he’s roughly the same age as her.
They manage to get into Midtown together, and this causes Tony to finally take notice of her, and consequently Nico, and he banes them from sleeping in the same room, until they point out that 1) they’re cousins that see each other as siblings, 2) he was perfectly ok with it before, 3) They struggle to sleep without someone else there, and 4) Nico’s gay and has a boyfriend.
The last one really shut Tony up.
WAR FOR THE EARTH - THE FINAL BATTLE
Eventually, Thanos arrives, but before the Avengers can even do anything, the cousins are there, raining hellfire down on Thanos’ army. The Wakanda army doesn’t end up being used and the Avengers don;t hardly do anything (except for Thor, he excessively fangirls the entire time).
The ground shaked with large earthquakes that left everything of earth origin unscathed, but decimating enemy troops as holes opened up in the ground, trapping and suffocating droves of enemy soldiers. Lightning rained down upon the opposition like it was the end of the world, and in the distance, you could faintly hear the distant horns of an approaching legion of demigods.
What remained of the Roman and Greek warriors had once again joined forces to answer the call of their leaders to defend their planet. Once again, they marched into battle, with a vigour that left seasoned soldiers, such as Captain America, severely lacking. Only one mortal could keep up, James Barnes.
Diving into battle with a single minded, kill them all before they kill us.
The enemy forces had never faced the powers of Olympus before.
They crumpled before plants grown by the children of Demeter and Ceres.
They fled at the war cries of the children of Ares and Mars.
They went mad with the soft coaxing of the children Aphrodite, Venus, Bacchus and Dionysus.
They fell like music to the soft twangs of the bows of the children of Apollo.
They burned from the flames born of the children of Hephaestus and Vulcan.
They tore like paper under the teeth of the wolves of the Hunters of Artemis and Diana, even as the immortal girls added their arrows to the volley.
They found themselves trapped between demigod lines as the children of Athena, Mercury and Hermes appeared out of nowhere behind them.
And finally, as the Goddess of Victory was released from her bindings, The forces of Thanos found themselves losing the battle.
Their leader himself, the great general, was made to kneel before the three cousins, as they each took one of the stones. The general was kept on his knees even as the cousins gave those precious stones to the one beings who could protect them. Lords Hades and Pluto of the Earth, and all that is precious. And still, the general was on his knees when finally, Valkyrie delivered the final strike, and took off his head.
After the battle was won, the demigods disappeared back to their city, taking Val and Nico with them as they withdrew from Midtown.
Occasionally a child under 13 would disappear from Shield’s systems, They were never heard from again.
And, if, years in the future, when Peter Parker was getting married, he saw 3 teens, timeless, just as he saw them 10 years before, well… nobody really needs to know that do they?
