You’re In My Seat

“You’re in my seat.”
James looked up, trying not to grin. She’d only vacated the fireside armchair to go to the bathroom, but he’d wasted no time in pinching it. Anyway, this was his seat… sure it might not have his name on it, but this was his favourite chair — it was bad enough that he had to fight Marlene for it when she complained about the cold.
“No, you were in my seat.” James corrected, reaching forwards to pick a book up from the coffee table; pretending to read. Lily grabbed his wrist and tried to pull him up. She was strong, but he was stronger and tugged her down on this his lap, tossing the book aside.
“James.” She hissed, looking around. The common room was pretty much empty a couple of third years were engrossed in their homework, and Nicole McKinnon was giggling in the corner with one of her first year friends — the two girls weren’t looking in their direction though.
“You don’t want to sit on my lap?” He whispered against her earlobe.
“James.” Lily said, bitting her bottom lip. James let go so that she could get up, but Lily didn’t move. She gave another look around the common room, before brushing her lips against his. “Want to go for a walk? Go and get your cloak.”
James’s eyes widened. He shifted out from underneath her and hurried up to the dormitory, taking the stairs too at a time. He’d never been so grateful that he could make them invisible, Lily didn’t want to be seen snogging him, and he was happy to go along with that as long as it meant being with her.
“Where are you going?” Sirius ask, pulling back the curtains of his four poster.
“No where interesting.” James lied with a shrug before hurrying back down to the common room.
“My seat.” Lily smirked, stretching out and warming her self in the glow of the fire.
