Katherine and Caroline had been in a secret relationship for quite some time now, they didn't tell any of their friends as they would freak out.. and not in a good way. Honestly Katherine herself thought it to be a bit random, after all.. she was a badass vampire who was over 500 years old and Caroline was some ditzy newbie vampire. Regardless Katherine couldn't help but fall for the blonde, not to mention Caroline had her strengths.
Katherine was sat at the Grill, she wasn't focused on anything in particular.. until she caught a glimpse of blonde hair. She was quickly snapped out of her thoughts as she seen her girlfriend, well.. secret girlfriend skip over to Matt cheerfully. It was clear that Caroline didn't notice her, it kind of .. hurt?? no no, pull yourself together Katherine.. she thought to herself. Caroline was sat there talking it up with Matt, twirling her golden locks around her finger.. Katherine stared intently at the pair a frown etched onto her face. She was never one to get jealous, she seen it as pathetic and insecure. Katherine was NONE of those things, well until now apparently. Without even realise it.. she clutched her glass tighter, her mind racing.. why is she twirling her hair like that?? she doesn't even do that with ME?? does she like him?? is she seeing him?? It didn't help matters that Caroline and Matt had a history together.
Katherine was sat weighing the pros and cons of ripping Matt's head off, pros were getting rid of his annoying ass, pissing off Elena (that's always a pro to Katherine) and pissing off the others.. cons?? upsetting Caroline. Looks like Matt survives, eventually after what felt like an eternity to Katherine.. Caroline notices her. She excuses herself from Matt and practically jumps into the seat beside her, Katherine barely holds back her smile. She was still Katherine Pierce, she couldn't show vulnerability.. at least not in public. She gave Matt a shit eating grin, silently saying "fuck you".
When Katherine got Caroline home she just "happened" to be in the mood to litter her neck with various bite marks and hickies, even though Caroline was a vampire like herself and the marks would quickly fade.. not that she would ever admit it but.. it gave her a sense of comfort.
