Hello Again
"Hey Tommy, you ready?" Harry was leant against the frame of the door.
"Yes, my trunk was ready yesterday." The teen was sat at his desk reading as he could usually be found if he wasn't in the duelling room or with Gellert. Gellert had yet to make use of Harry, Harry figured he was either going to make use of him for something more important or he wasn't totally secure with Harry's power yet and was waiting until he was sure he wouldn't be killed for asking something of him.
"Of course it was." Harry grinned as Tom shrunk his trunk into his pocket tucking away his book with it. "Come on then, off we go." They wandered down to the castles entry hall where Luna and Gellert were waiting.
"I won't be coming to Kings Cross but Harry and Luna will see you off. If you need something urgently use the mirror if not, owl. And I expect a letter of your progress every two weeks if not one." Tom nodded in response, neither were close enough to the other for physical affection yet, Harry sort of doubted either ever would go for a hug unless it was initiated by someone else. However, they were closer to each other than either had ever been to another person especially in a time as short as two months.
"I don't know why we didn't shove them together before." Harry commented to Luna as she stood beside him.
"We assumed the world would end."
"Yes, right. So why did we put them together this time?"
"Dumbledore killed everyone we liked last time."
"That makes sense." Harry nodded as if that was the most logical thing he could think of, whilst Gellert and Tom looked at them strangely.
"Ignoring that, you best be going."
"It's like ten, no-ones going to be late." Harry snorted rolling his eyes, grabbing Tom and Luna's hands and apparating the three of them to Kings Cross.
"I'm going." Tom reverted his eyes, speed walking into the train as Harry waved stupidly, calling across the station to say goodbye.
"See you soon Tommy."
"Sooner than he realises." Luna mutters and Harry cackles, drawing multiple eyes towards them.
"Oh before we go see Sans, I forgot an errand last time I was out with Azzy."
"I'm coming?"
"Mmmm, That's okay, stay here."
"Okay, avoid cameras, clean up properly."
"I always do." Harry skipped to the muggle entrance as Luna scoffed.
"Bullshit." Luna found a bench to sit on and waited, mostly patiently for Harry to return.
Harry wandered down the streets finding the previous shop, it was surprisingly intact. There weren't any security cameras for almost a decade yet but hey sometimes they forgot things. Flinging open the door that said closed Harry grinned at the banging from upstairs, finding the stairs he headed to the apartment above throwing that door open too. Letting it fly of it's hinges, he hadn't been able to exercise like this in a while, he had decent morals last time and everything.
"What you doing here fag." Harry kicked the vile man in the gut, making sure not to immediately kill him, only break a few ribs.
"For starters that very rude, second Azzy's not a man, they're a God. And third he offered to have you killed in the next bombing. I said no, I wanted you all to myself but see I forgot, got distracted so you got a whole months extension on your life." The man was actually scared now Harry could smell as it as the unkempt twat stumbled away holding his ribs with one arm. Harry pinned him to the wall with a dagger, well sort of it was more mixed between a sword and dagger, in the shoulder. "Times up."
Multiple daggers and blades flew at the man, slowly one after the other.
None killed him just hurt a lot, arm, thigh, knee, stomach, other shoulder, cutting off an ear by the end he was begging as many did
The dagger that finally killed him, separated his spinal cord at his neck. Harry side stepped as the head rolled towards him, summoning the blades towards him and with a cleaning spell sent them back to Nurmengard.
Luna didn't even look up as he sat beside her a small smile playing at his lips.
"You are such a state. Here let me do your hair before we go." Harry hummed as the silvery blonde weaved her fingers through his hair. Luna more often than not got over or could supress her blood lust, Harry not so much.
After having various braids fixed into his hair Harry hopped up, holding his hand out for Luna to stand up.
"We've got a couple hours, plenty of time to re-introduce ourselves to our favourite vampire."
"Always." Harry snorted and disapparated the two of them right into the Sanguini's castle in Albania.
"Sanguini darling, I know we technically haven't met this time around but we had a few hours and wanted to re-meet our favourite vampire." Harry yelled into the castle. "Or maybe have our favourite vampire re-meet us technically." Sanguini was there in an instant, staring at them intently.
"You stink of blood." Harry shrugged.
"Damn vampire smell, I cleaned it all up too."
"You smell of myself also, so I'm inclined to believe we have met before."
"Yup. So who's home?"
"Just myself at the moment." Sanguini came closer, circling Harry, pressing his nose and lips against his neck.
"Sans, if you want to bite me, just do..." Harry wasn't able to finish before fangs sank into his neck from behind, one arm around Harry's waist the other hand on his throat. Harry was able to catch the vampire before he fell to the floor essentially having drank all of their memories together. Memories the man had yet to ever experience and now would never forget.
"He does that every time." Luna commented as she walked ahead putting out the candles in the sconces. The castle was ancient and the worn stone showed it with centuries of feet passing through, the occasional darker patch serving as memory from battles long passed, brighter stone as evidence of battles long fixed. The décor was much more indulgent than Nurmengard, the brass sconces no different but mirrors in gilded frames and gold embroidered tapestries; dusty gold chandeliers with hundreds of hanging diamond, the long used wax candles melted into their holders without a wick; ceilings with wicked beams carved exquisitely, the front door once having the same rich carving worn down and smooth with centuries of use.
"He only learns after he drinks from me so honestly I'm not surprised." Harry carried the vampire to his bedroom, writing him a note and leaving a communication mirror, knowing full well the man would take some time to wake up and they'd likely need to be at Hogwarts when he did wake up. "About time?"
"Yes." Harry wrapped Luna in his arms for the 'slightly' more disorientating travel that came with being Master of Death and they stepped into the shadows at the back of the great hall.
It was like a breath of fresh air being wrapped Hogwart's magic, she recognised and despite the scolding they knew would come later they couldn't be happier to be home, Hogwarts' magic was a constant whether it was this form or another she was always there. There was probably an hour from the station so they settled into the shadows awaiting the telling noise.
Happy in each others company as they were and wrapped in magic it wasn't long before that familiar telling noise came through and the second through seventh years came in sitting at their respective tables, still noisily catching up with the friends they didn't see over summer.
"And finally before the feast begins we two new transfers, may I introduce Harry and Luna Peverell." Tom's head shot up from where he was staring at the wall impatiently and glared as the two of them walked out of the shadows towards the front of the hall. "The two just need to be sorted." Dippet waved them forwards to Dumbledore who looked at them with keen interest.
"Peverell, Harry." Harry couldn't even get near the stool before the hat was shrieking.
"No, I am not going in your head again, get your arse to Slytherin." Harry cackled.
"Awe and I was gonna say I missed you and everything." The hat ignored him and turned to Luna.
"I would send you to Ravenclaw, moon but someone needs to keep an eye on your shit of a brother. Slytherin for you too." Luna smiled.
"Thank you Allistair, we'll come by and talk soon."
"Looking forwards to it moon." The hall seemed stunned as Luna took Harry's hand.
"We need to sit at the end."
"Mkay." The hat and stool went away and Dumbldore sat in his seat at the head table, besides Dippet who was also now watching them, well most everyone was. Not long into there was another interruption as Sanguini errupted from the shadows smashing his lips against Harry's until Harry was breathless. The vampire pulled away crouching down to rest their foreheads together as Harry giggled. "Took you longer than normal Sansy sweetheart."
"How is it possible to miss someone I haven't ever met so much."
"Because we have met sweetheart just not in this lifetime." Harry whispered turning to Luna. "Thanks for sitting us here, that could have gone worse."
"I think you would have sat here anyways if you actually used your brain." Luna smiled back at him before turning to serve herself dinner.
"Come on let's go." Sanguini stood up holding his hand out.
"I'm staying here sweetheart." The vampire looked conflicted.
"Fine but on the next weekend thing I'm coming to get you."
"Okay with me but I suggest you leave before the teachers start firing curses."
"See you soon." He kissed Harry again before leaving and Harry turned to the very quiet hall.
"What, never seen a vampire before?"
"I don't believe that's what they were shocked over. Come on, lets eat." Luna nudged him and Harry filled his plate, slowly enough the hall went back to normal. As usual the prefects lead the first years to their dorms the only difference was that Headmaster Dippet stopped Harry before they left taking Harry and Luna to his office.
"I want an explanation Mr Peverell."
"Explanation 'bout what."
"Sanguini for starters." The office was so familiar. The gaudy throne chair wasn't there yet instead a comfy arm chair glamoured to look like a wooden desk chair stood in it's place with the ancient carved desk. The headmasters in their portraits looked amused at their return and their immediate scolding.
There were always connections between timelines, usually types of magic, so portrait magic was connected throughout the time lines. If portraits met them in one life time then they'd know them now unless like Dippet they weren't currently a portrait but a real life person. Or both a portrait and a person.
"Well I know him, Luna does too. I don't know what you want me to say?"
"How do you know him?"
"Originally I think we met at a party." Harry glanced at Luna who nodded and shrugged, she was pretty sure he was along the right lines. "What else did you want to talk about?" the office door opened, Harry didn't bother looking at the person entering, he knew their magic very well.
"Ah Albus." Harry groaned his head lolling back on the chair as he slumped. "You wanted to talk with Mr Peverell."
"Yes, Mr Peverell as a student of this fine institution and under the care of the school administrators. I feel as if we need to talk to you about your... relationship with Mr Sanguini."
"Ugh I forgot I'm supposed to be sixteen here." Harry mumbled Luna hitting him in response. "Okay well as my own person I feel as though I must inform you Mr Dumbledore that whomever I fuck, kiss or otherwise entertain is absolutely none of your business, whether that person is an ancient vampire or Death himself." Luna couldn't hold her peals of laughter that time around. Practically wetting herself in her chair with the Headmasters in their portraits, Harry looking completely unbothered at the fuming man before them.
"Language Mr Peverell, please." Dippet seemed amused but tired, Harry knowing how exhausting the first day back could be gave the man a break from what would be his usually snippy response. "But I believe Mr Peverell is correct Albus, whomever he is dating, if that, truly is none of our business unless it actually proposes danger to the boy, which from what I have seen it does not."
"You're right Headmaster. Sansy is a very nice partner to have, very sweet, caring and romantic. Well he's had some years to perfect it, no." Dippet smiled tensely.
"Armando, may I have a word with you privately."
"Fine, please wait here you two. Come through here Albus." As soon as the two were behind the warded door Harry turned to face the portraits, taking of the spell that silenced them.
"Hey."
"Hello." Luna smiled, she looked like she was falling asleep.
"Hello again Harry, Luna." Phineas Black smiled down at them.
"Hogwarts again I see." another said.
"She's home." The portraits nodded in agreement stopping as the handle creaked. "I'll come talk at some point." The portraits nodded and Harry faced the desk again. Albus stormed out in a temper, not even looking back at Harry or Luna and slamming the office door, both of them snickered at the scene, schooling themselves when Dippet cleared his throat.
"I don't have anything in particular to say to you both. Only that if you need help catching up in your studies please ask and behave, you have been accepted into Hogwarts but that does not mean you need terrorise the student body."
"We would never Headmaster."
"Of course you wouldn't. Get out, go on." Harry waved as he took Luna's hand and lead them both down to the Slytherin common room. Harry grinned spotting Tom on a chair opposite the fireplace.
"Hey Doll-face." Harry perched himself on the arm of the chair, Luna leaning against him, to the shock of the room and multiple wands trained on his person. "Here Gilly wanted to give you this."
"Why didn't he just give it me himself."
"Didn't want Fumbledore to catch you with it and 'cause he knew we were coming." The wands dropped slightly at the parseltongue glancing between Tom and Harry.
"Right, I didn't know you spoke parseltongue and you told me you weren't coming here."
"That's because I didn't tell you. We lied."
"I can see that you lied." Tom looked wearier of him than usual and Harry grinned, he turned to the Slytherins still with their wands pointing at him and Luna.
"Don't worry little snakes. Tom is the Heir of Slytherin, not myself. So you can keep being doting little Knights." They put away their wands at the wave of Toms hand and Harry turned to the 'blank' portrait on the wall, where Luna was stood.
"Hey Sal." Luna smiled as Salazar entered the portrait.
"Ah hello brats, you're back again."
"Awe Sally, don't do us like that." Tom almost choked behind them.
"What this I hear about you not being my heir?"
"You know I'll never take the title from Tom if he's here or unless he doesn't deserve the title."
"Yes I do know. Now get to bed the both of you before I get Helga." Harry rolled his eyes as Salazars portrait swung open to their room, and it really was their room, whenever they were there Hogwarts magic opened up the room. Though it wasn't there until after they had gone back far enough to meet the founders or at least they didn't know about it until then.
The room, as the rest of Hogwarts, was beautiful and wasn't actually branching off the Slytherin common room, it was in different part of the castle completely but could be accessed from any founders portrait and or from the common rooms, the door would also open from the inside to whatever part of the castle they needed. The tapestries often changed between scenes and between colours, usually depending on Hogwarts mood. Each window had a magical view of either the quidditch pitch or Forbidden Forest, Whomping Willow or The Black Lake. The dresser and desk and bed was made from the same carved wood, the bed with four posters that could be hidden with curtains. The joined bathroom was similar to the prefects bathroom with the pool bathtub and moving stained glass windows, it was beautiful it always was and it always felt like home.
They left the whispers of the common room behind them, as soon as the door was closed Luna fell onto the bed, asleep and Azrael materialised in front of Harry pulling him into his arms.
"You're so bloody possessive Azzy." Harry whined as Azrael wrapped the two of them in his wings.
"You are mine."
"Yes and I am always and always will be yours, but occasionally you get to share me."
"I know." Harry grinned into Azrael's chest, pulling away to spell Luna into Pyjama's tucking her under the quilt, changing into his own and curling up beside her the giant death god behind him.
"Tom." Tom looked away from the portrait of Slytherin and over to Abraxas.
"Harry and Luna, they're siblings. They live with the man who adopted me." Lestrange looked up staring at him. Tom knew Raspheld must know their names already, must have heard them from his parents who were with the dark lord, must have known the dark lord adopted a boy.
"Tom they aren't that pair are they?"
"If I answered wouldn't that prove the truth anyway Lestrange."
"Yes it would." Raspheld glanced at the portrait, a strange look of both respect and fear, Tom also knew the others were making connections between the conversation. Lestrange was almost as bad a gossip as Malfoy so there was no doubt the boy had already said all about the newcomers at Nurmengard. Mulciber took the longest to figure it out, glancing at the portrait with a stupid look on his face as they passed it to go to the dorms.
Tom was begging the fallout of Harry and Luna not to be ridiculous as he opened the gift from Grindelwald.
