Chapter 1-The return of a Cullen
Draco Malfoy. P.O.V
“Vampires, what are they, can anyone tell me without embarrassing themselves?” Professor Severus Snape says to the hall.
Of course multiple hands were raised.
One of those being the hand of that annoying mudblood Granger, I notice that he calls on a Ravenclaw behind her.
“Vampires are mythical creatures that suck the blood of the living,” the Ravenclaw said.
“Wrong! I said without embarrassing yourself Ms.Chang,” He said, rolling his eyes pacing back and forth through the Great Hall.
“Vampires are...creatures, humans turned supernatural that prey on the living, yes they drink the blood of the living, they’re incredibly, inhumanely strong and fast and incredibly intelligent, but they are not mythical,” Professor Snape says pausing at the podium at the head of the hall.
“They have the strength of a thousand men, the speed of a Norwegian Ridgeback, and the cunning, sly, manipulative nature of a fox,” He continued on.
“But, they are also human, in one form or another, they look like us as well as act like us, because they were once us…” Snape says.
“Why is this bloody relevant?” Blaise Zabini wondered under his breath.
A hand from Hufflepuff is raised and called on by the teacher.
“But we don’t have anything to worry about when it comes to vampires right? They were pushed out of Europe right? They’re in America now…” The boy states fearfully.
“For the most part, yes,” Snape says.
“So then why is this relevant?” Blaise calls out.
“The Cullens...that is why this is relevant,” Snape says.
“I thought that they were out of England, Professor,” Pansy says.
“They are but we have heard rumors...that the student that we will be receiving when you all return from Christmas Break is a Cullen,” He answers.
“That is why we are imploring this information onto you, we need you to be aware,” Professor Dumbledore said as he walked into the room looking over the crowd.
A new student...that might be a vampire...bloody hell they first let in mudbloods and now they’re letting in mudbloods that are vampires?
Wonderful.
We were dismissed, Blaise, Goyle and Crabbe walking with me out of the Great Hall.
“A vampire, I heard they’re really dangerous, they lose control at the smell of blood,” Blaise says as we made our way down to the train.
“They have to hunt every night or they’ll turn into an even worse monster then they already are,” Goyle gossips.
“I heard they’re really pretty and will seduce you into letting them kill you,” Crabbe says. “Like a veela.”
“You guys are bloody ridiculous, of course they’re going to be pretty and dangerous, they’re vampires,” I scoff.
“Wanna bet its a girl?” Blaise nudges me as the two dimwits walk in front of us.
“You’re on Zabini,” I say laughing just as we stepped onto the train.

Y/N P.O.V
“What do you mean I’m going to England?” I ask standing in the middle of the living room amidst my family.
“Y/N I mean you’re going to England for schooling, they’ll know what you are so you can have a slightly normal experience,” my father Edward says.
“To a magic school?” I scoff.
“We still have to get your wand but we already bought everything for you,” my mother says. “We knew you were going to be stubborn.”
I turned my head towards Alice.
“And you knew about this?” I growled.
“I knew it was a possibility…” She admitted.
“What if I can’t control myself? You said so yourself that I’m going to be the only one of our kind there,” I say.
“We’ve taught you better than that and just remember the exercises we taught you,” my father says.
“And we’re always here to talk, you have our numbers and you can write us letters, besides you’ll be able to come home for holidays,” my mother said.
“Jasper? You don't think this is a stupid idea?” I ask my uncle.
“I don’t have a say Y/N,” He says, not meeting my eyes.
I roll my eyes, of course not.
“Fine, when am I leaving?” I ask them knowing I wouldn’t be able to convince them otherwise.
“Tonight,” My father says.
“Tonight?” I exclaim. “And you just now tell me this-the day after Christmas? Brilliant! Just brilliant!”
I stomp off to my room slamming the door behind me, tearing through my closets accidentally ripping down a hook as I grabbed clothes to pack and take with me.
I hear a knock on the door and I ignore it.
I shove as many pairs of clothes into my trunk as I could before shutting it.
“Y/N…” Rosalie says, stepping into my room.
“Rose, what do you want? Come to tell me that I have no choice or that I should just be happy with it?” I ask her sitting down on my bed with a furious expression embedded on my face.
“Actually the opposite,” She smiles sitting down beside me.
“You should have been told what was going to happen from the start, but what I wanted to say is I’m always here, you need to write to me every week alright? I want to make sure that you keep control,” She says looking at me with golden brown eyes meeting my own e/c eyes.
“Thank you Rose, I will!” I say hugging her.
“Of course Y/N, anytime,” She said brushing aside a piece of hair on my forehead.
Later on I made my way onto platform 9 ¾ with my mother and father, we had just come from getting my wand and were now waiting in front of the giant red train spewing stem from its stem.
“Listen Y/N, I’m sorry that we just sprung it onto you...but we love you,” my mother said hugging me.
“I know...I overreacted anyway, also sorry for breaking that hook inside of my closet,” I say.
I had a scarf over my head with glasses on as did my mother, Alice finally got through to her-at least for now when she was dropping me off.
“Don't forget to feed weekly, we made arrangements for you to travel into the forest to hunt animals,” my father said when it was his turn to hug me.
“Thank you father I won't forget I’ll make sure to feed,” I say nodding.
I sustained more on blood than I did human food, although if it was absolutely necessary I could eat human food in order to survive.
“I love you, I’ll see you guys in the spring. I'll also write as much as I can,” I say before turning around to go and board the train.
I can feel stares as I walk through the halls with my scarf over my head and glasses blocking my eyes.
Once I reached an empty cabin I entered it and took off my scarf and my glasses, the smell of human blood was overwhelming. I breathed in and out deeply as I got situated in my seat.
I watched out the window while the train began to pull away from the station, my mother and father waving at me from far away.
I guess they didn’t want to get too close to the humans.
A knock on my door caused me to jump but as soon as I noticed it was an old lady with a candy cart I opened the door and smiled at her.
“Candy-oh you’re new here aren’t you?” She asks me smiling sweetly.
I nodded holding my breath.
“Would you like a pumpkin pasty?” A pumpkin pasty? I’m assuming that’s an English sweet, so I nodded at the old lady.
“Here you are, they’re our best sellers,” She says slyly winking at me. “Don't tell anyone I gave that to you for free now.”
“I won’t thank you,” I tell her before closing my door again.
A pumpkin pasty huh? I opened the wrapper and broke apart the pasty with the smell of pumpkin and cinnamon invading my nostrils.
It was so much different than blood, with blood you can smell what the animal had eaten previously, or what their so called aura tasted like.
Maybe there was some sort of magic to it that I didn’t understand but...I certainly didn’t mind.
I took a bite relishing in the sweetness of the pumpkin, every once in a while human food was alright to me but I couldn’t have it all the time...I’d never feel full if I did.
The train eventually stopped at gates when the daylight turned to darkness.
I had stepped off the train feeling happy that I didn’t have to have my scarf and glasses on, of course it wouldn’t have mattered to me if I did but it's much more convenient to not have to put it on.
I ride in the carriages drawn by skeletal creatures that had flaming blue eyes that just pierced whatever left of a soul that I had.
The line of carriages made their way rather quickly up the hill leading to the giant castle that was called Hogwarts, where my home would now be.
I was told to wait in my carriage while everyone else entered the building first, then a teacher with greasy black hair and a hooked nose opened my carriage door and allowed me out of my carriage.
By now it was snowing slightly, the white contrasting nicely with the dark aptitude of the area.
The cold never bothered me, it has never and will never.
“Ms.Cullen. Welcome to Hogwarts.”
