- Marlene McKinnon loved Dorcas Meadowes more than they loved anything else in the world. There was some kind of lightning in her eyes that that they just couldn’t deny.
- Dorcas had a devil in her smile, and oh lord, Marlene knew without her partner they’d never make it out alive. But maybe that was the beauty of things, that she had Dorcas.
- Every single time Marls looked at their partner, she would realise over and over that she couldn’t change the rolling tide. But despite how fast they fell, she knew she’d be fine.
- And Dorcas made Marlene want to chase after her. They were ready to run, to belong with Dorcas. And that was special.
- She wanted to be free, and young, and she wanted to never, ever look back at the past and instead just run, run far with Dorcas at their side.
- Dorcas Meadowes loved Marlene McKinnon more than she would ever manage to admit. They were her entire world. And when she looked at her Marls, she always felt ready to run.
- She’d escape from any city to follow Marlene. They followed Dorcas like she was the sun, shining and radiant and beautiful. If Dorcas was the sun, her Marls would’ve been the moon. Cool and universe-shatteringly beautiful, elegant and perfect in every way.
- Dorcas was ready to run with Marlene, too. She didn’t want to get lost, but she wanted to be young and free and never look back with her partner. And maybe that was something worth more than anything else that existed.
- She couldn’t imagine a future without Marlene, it was completely unthinkable, that’s how much Marls meant to her. Yes, they’d faced and will continue to face lots of hate, but Dorcas believed they could do anything with one another by each other’s sides. They’d be alright, she knew they would.
- Marlene McKinnon and Dorcas Meadowes loved one another like how the sun shone on the moon, lighting it up and creating the most beautiful of things. Without one another, they were lost, alone, stuck.
- But together? They were ready to run, born for it. They could go anywhere and they’d always follow one another. Dorcas was always Marlene’s. And Marlene was always Dorcas’s. That would never change.
- Dorcas and Marls were the most handsome and pretty couple you’d have ever met. They were radiant and bold and shimmering and smooth but also rough and jagged and sharp and tainted in the most magnificent way.
- Together, they shone. They always would. And they believed that with each other by their sides, they would never look back, and would always be ready to run.
