Within a dark alley in what seemed like another world there was a rumble and a flash of light that lingered for a moment but then disappeared nearly as soon as it began. Three friends Toya Kinimoto, his best friend Yukito Tsukishiro and their good friend Eriol Hiiragizawa were walking down the street and had been passing by the alley when they felt the shaking and saw the flash of light fading as if it had never been there. The three put their bags down and cautiously looked into the alley, their eyes widening at what was there. Lying in a pile near the other end of the narrow alley were four young men who were wearing strange uniforms that they had never seen before with marks of playing cards in the areas that they were able to see.
They dropped what they had been holding and rushed into the area to check if the young men were okay. They stopped next to them and were in shock when they saw that one of the teens was at least six inches bigger than Toya, who was pushing 6'2" as it was. They used their magic to lift the four easily and made their way under a disillusionment charm so no one would stop them. They made their way to Eriol's house and Yukito expanded one of the beds in the guest wing so that they could lay the four teens down and be treated for their wounds. Once the three friends had finished treating the wounds they looked for any kind of identification but couldn't find anything so they let them sleep and went downstairs to talk until the group woke up from whatever happened to them. Once the door had closed the eyes of the four teens opened and looked around to be sure that they had not been taken prisoner or thrown into a dungeon. Once they saw that everything was clear they sat up in bed and hugged each other tightly, tears of relief rolling down their faces because the spell to keep their people safe had worked.
Once they were able to pull away from each other Kyoshiro of Hearts, their undisputed leader stood up and said as they put their uniforms and boots back on, glad that their weapons remained hidden: "Ve should go somevhere more safe to stay until we are able to figure out what we are going to do." The remaining three nodded and used their silent transportation to leave the room just seconds before the door opened. Eriol peeked in to see how they were doing and when he saw that the four men were gone without having gone downstairs he dropped the tray of tea and ran downstairs to tell Toya and Yukito what had happened and how they would find them.
Half a city away the four appeared in an empty park that had a large penguin statue in the middle with a slide coming out of the mouth and benches scattered everywhere for people to sit down and relax. They sat down one two of the benches across from each other and Basch of Diamonds asked in a worried voice: "So what are we going to do now Kyo? The spell we used requires us to stay away from Deck for 45 years but we have no idea where we ended up." "Vell zhe good thing is that we will not be able to die because of our families being the Eternal Monarchies. And I can sense that this world also has magic but it is hidden so maybe Ve can look for it and find somevhere to live for the time being?" Alexei of Clubs, being their magical sensor, closed his eyes and used his magic to look for any areas that seemed like they had more magic than normal. After a moment he opened his eyes and motioned for them to follow to where he had felt a very large concentration of magical beings that could hopefully help them.
They ignored the stares that they were getting because of their clothes and how tall Alexei was then found themselves at a shrine that looked similar to the ones Queen Kiku and Kyoshiro of Hearts put up for worship. They stood in front of one of the hidden gates and were wondering what to do when Kyoshiro took a gold coin out of his pocket and gave it to the gate, which absorbed the coin and opened up into a portal that led to an enormous district that was filled with magical things. They walked in and saw an absolutely humungous building that looked like a bank so that was where they decided to head first to see what the money situation was like and if the gold they had was any good in this world.
Once they were nearly in front of the bank their eyes lit up in joy when they saw warrior goblins, which were extinct in their world, standing outside of the bank with their spears out so no one would try to get in before the bank officially opened. The four stopped at the bottom of the steps, put their right fists over their hearts, got down to one knee and said with their heads down: "Hail mighty warriors of the noble and fierce goblin race. May your gold forever be plentiful and may you pain the streets red with the blood of thieves and the unworthy." The goblins stood straight and saluted back proudly before moving to the side to allow them entry despite the early hour and no others being allowed in quite yet. The four were led into the back rooms and spent the better half of two days there taking over some of the dead accounts and adding the a third of the gold into them, which apparently amounted to billions of galleons for a few dozen pounds alone. They finally came out with a folder of properties from all over the world and the deed to a house in the country they now knew was called Japan that they would use until they could figure out the world they landed in.
About three months later Toya was walking towards his old house, a nostalgic look on his face as he looked around at the houses of the neighborhood. Long ago when his mother had died giving birth to his younger sister Sakura his father had nearly broken down and instead of taking care of them as he should he threw himself into his word and barely ever came home, which caused his aunt Sonomi to take custody of his baby sister. She tried to take him too but he refused and kept running back to his father so she just stopped trying and left them alone. He turned the corner and was nearly at their house when he saw a very large moving van packing things into it and his father packing some of the smaller things into his car, silent tears running down his face as he looked to the house that was occupied by someone else now: "DAD! What the hell happened here? Why are you leaving home?"
Fujitaka Kinimoto looked up from packing his car and then said as he went back to working loading up: "The bank took the house when I was no longer able to pay the mortgage. The ones who bought it gave me two month to fine somewhere to live but I ignored the summons, hoping the would leave me alone but they showed up today with the van and now I am forced to leave our house because of my negligence." Toya shook his head but helped his father load everything into the car. He was loading the last of the boxes into the moving truck when he sensed something was missing so he looked up and asked curiously: "Hey dad, where is that one old book with the lock on it? You know, the one that had that strange energy around it?" is father turned to his son and said: "Well since I have no idea where the thing had come from and was never able to unlock it I gave it to the new house owners when they asked about it." Toya looked up at the house for a moment but then shook his head and finished helping his father, hoping that the new owners were magical and that they were able to handle the being within the book.
Inside of their house the next morning Kyoshiro had just come back in from his training and run. He came out of the kitchen with a cold bottle of water and saw his new familiar Keroberos in his full form sitting in front of the other three and trying to talk wit Alexei, who was reading a book from Clubs with a small smile on his face: "Oi Keroberos leave mein Ivan alone please. He does not speak to you until you earn his absolute trust." Kero sat in shock as Ivan nodded with a small smile without looking up and running his free hand through the hair of Basch, who was next to him and the free hand running through the hair of Patrick, who was spread across their laps with his own book. Kero watched Kyoshiro give each of them a kiss and then went upstairs to shower, Ker asking the three still downstairs: "So does this mean that the four of you are in a relationship together then?"
Patrick raised his free hand and cast a silent spell that trapped Kero in a bubble that kept the noise inside so it would not bother them then went back to his book happily. It was quiet for a moment but then they heard: "Oh liebes Deck, was zum Teufel ist das und woher kommt es?! Sore wa dono yo ni shite atarashi ku o kayatte ie ni haitta nodesu ka?!" The three jumped up, summoned their weapons and ran upstairs to the spare bedroom where they found Kyoshiro standing there half naked because he had just gotten out of the shower and was half changed, his long sword in hand glowing red. They looked in the direction he was facing and situated in the far corner was a large mirror that was framed in black metal that had a Spade, a Heart, a Club and a Diamond on the top. The four poked around the mirror with their magic when all od a sudden the mirror started to glow, the four of them throwing up protective shields to protect each other. When the glow had finally faded they opened their eyes and their jaws dropped, Alexei taking a few steps forward: "Mama?"
