You were packing your son's stuff since Hogwarts is starting and he's starting his second year
Which every year that passes and the older Aries gets the sadder you get like Sirius has missed out on so much of his son's life
Like Aries was born a day before Sirius got locked up
So Sirius only got one day with his son until he didn't see him for years, and who knows how long it'll be until Sirius gets to see Aries again, you tried to clear his name but it didn't work nothing did
No one listened to you
Suddenly Aries walks downstairs sleepily you look over "Sweetie what's wrong? You should be asleep it's late." You say and aries hugs you
"There's a creepy dog outside mom it's out on the front lawn," Aries says and you hug him
"Hey don't worry Aries it's probably the neighbour's dog again, I know the neighbour's dog is big but it's not scary." You say and Aries just hugs you and you hug him back as you try and look out the living room window, which leads right to the front yard
But you couldn't see anything it was pitch black outside
"Mom make it go away," Aries says and you sigh
"Aries sweetie it's ok it's just a dog it'll move along ok? It probably chased a small animal into the yard ok? It'll look for it then move along, it's ok Aries if you want you can sleep down here as I pack your stuff." You say and Aries nods and lays down on the couch as you go back to folding stuff and putting them in his trunk
Aries ended up falling back to sleep and you pick him up and carry him to bed, he has serve anxiety so something like a dog outside at night can be extra scary to him.
You go back to packing Aries stuff and once you finish you go upstairs quietly to get ready for bed and go to sleep
But the next few days Aries kept saying something about a creepy looking dog around the house
You never saw it but Aries apparently always saw it just watching him
"Mom! I was hanging out with Harry and-and Ron! At t-the park and the creepy black dog was there! And it was just watching us! I don't like it! I don't like it at all Mom! What if it's trying to take me away from you! What if it's going to eat me! I want it to leave me alone." Aries says and you kneel down to him and hold his hands as he was crying as his anxiety was running wild right now
You started to wonder, what did this creepy dog look like? You started to hope it was Sirius, but why not immediately come home? If it was Sirius how did he escape? And is he not coming home to try and protect you all? But wants to at least see how Aries is or something? You needed to know what this dog looked like
"Aries, what does this dog look like can you tell me?" You ask and Aries describes the dog and you nod as you listened and you couldn't while the stupid smile off your face
Later that night you put a note out saying you can come inside Padfoot, please
You then waited as you did small chores you could do as you hoped Sirius would come inside
But as it got later and later he didn't come and you looked outside and couldn't see anything, so you gave up and just went to bed
|Sirius's pov|
For the past few days, I've been watching my wife and my son since I broke out I immediately went to go and tell them I'm back! But I then realized if I'm there y/n would get in trouble for not turning me in
So I just secretly watch them and well Aries has been seeing me and I think he's scared of me. Because he pointed at me once when he was hanging out with Harry and whispered to Harry and they ran off. Like hey, I'm a cute dog how scary can I be? Y/n has only called me cute when I'm a dog no way I'm scary. Y/n would never lie to me
I then notice a piece of paper on the stairs so I walk over and read it oh y/n figured out I broke out, I wanna see her just what if I end up getting her in trouble? I can't do that. I then see her bedroom light turn off
Maybe I should see her and talk to her

You were fast asleep when you hear the sound of something smashing downstairs and then ah fuck
You run to Aries room and he was awake and obviously heard the noises
"It's ok sweetie don't worry." You say as you hold your wand in your hand ready to hurt whoever dares to walk into the room
But a black dog pushes the door open and Aries screams yelling "That's him! Mom that's the creepy-looking dog!" Aries says as Sirius then turns into a human
"Creepy? Excuse me I may have not had a shower in years, but is that any way to talk to your father mister, y/n calls me cute now who's lying." Sirius says trying to make Aries laugh since he looked scared, and Sirius didn't want his son to be scared of him
You smile at Sirius so happily it was him he's back and Aries was confused about what was going on
"What?" Aries says as he was clinging to you still scared
"Hey Aries I'm sorry I haven't been around, I didn't wanna leave you or mom." Sirius says as tears started to well up in his eyes, making him start to choke as he spoke and you get up and run and hug him and he wraps his arms around you kissing you so happily and you kiss him back "I missed you so much, darling." Sirius says and you didn't wanna let him go again
Aries was confused for a second then remembered all you told him about his dad, and how he was in prison because he was falsely accused "Oh dads out finally?" Aries says happily as he gets out of bed and runs and hugs Sirius and Sirius kneels down and hugs Aries tightly, he wished he was let out to be with his family but that's not really the case
"Aries it's complicated, I may not be able to stay," Sirius says and Aries shakes his head and you sigh and Sirius didn't wanna leave! It's just what if he's found out here? You and Aries are in trouble than all because of him
"Dad don't leave, I just got to meet you don't go, please! I don't want you to go please." Aries says and you kneel down beside Aries
"Aries me and dad need to talk ok? You need to sleep it's really late." You say and Aries shakes his head not wanting to leave Sirius right now
"You know what, I'm back don't worry Aries I'm not gonna leave I won't, even if I have to live here as a dog I'm not leaving you again." Sirius says and Aries nodded "Now get some rest I'll be here when you wake up." Sirius says and he just couldn't leave how Aries was crying in his arms, how old Aries has gotten since he last saw him, it hit him how much he missed of his son's life and he just couldn't leave again
You eventually get Aries to go back to bed and you and Sirius walk downstairs to talk and you clean up the vase he bumped into
"So how did this happen?" You ask and Sirius chuckles nervously
"Uh, I decided to walk in as me bumped into that in the dark decided I'll be a dog it's easier to get around. And I won't wake you and Aries up, but I saw you running to Aries room as I was walking up the stairs." Sirius says and you nod and clean up the broken vase and then just hug Sirius tightly you never wanted to let him go
"Please never leave again." You say and Sirius smiles as he nods
"I'm back forever and I'm never leaving."
