It's been almost a year since Draco asked you out, you were shocked when he did because you both only kinda knew each other, not well but kinda
And Draco may have let it slip a few days ago he's taking you somewhere on yours and his one year anniversary, but he wasn't letting it slip where he's taking you and you were getting impatient
You were sitting in the Hufflepuff common room as you were doing a potions assignment when someone says Draco is here to see you, so you got up and walk out of the common room and smile at your boyfriend
"Uh hey y/n I was wondering if you wanna come to my dorm and study." He says and you think then nod
"Sure why not." You say grabbing your stuff and then walking to Dracos dorm as he held your hand
When you get to his dorm he sits down on his bed and you sit down as well "I think you know we won't just be studying." Draco says smirking and you look at him confused
"Wait what? What else would we be doing?" You say and Draco was starting to unbutton his shirt making your face turn red "DRACO! PUT A SHIRT ON!" You say covering your face and he laughs
"Your so cute do you know that?" Draco asks as he smirks at you as you shake your head
"N-no I didn't but can you put a shirt on I won't be able to concentrate on my assignment!" You say and Draco chuckles
"Oh but that's the whole point." He says and you looked through your fingers slightly
"Draco I need to finish my assignment we can do whatever weird idea thing you have after." You say and Draco sighs and puts his shirt back on and you take your hands off your face
"I love you so much," Draco says and you lean over and kiss his cheek
"Yeah, I love you too Draco." You say and he pulls you between his legs and wraps his arms around you and you than just work like that, kinda uncomfortable but well it's fine
A few days later
You were walking around the halls of Hogwarts when you stop and hide as you heard Draco talking to his friends, especially when you realized they were talking about you "Your still with her Draco? It's been almost a year the bet is up you can break up with her." Blaise says and your heart sunk this was all a bet? You were just a bet?
"Yeah, you really wanna stay with that goody two shoes Hufflepuff? Just break up with her already you're too good for her." Crabbe says as tears welled up in your eyes, this was all a bet? Did he even love you? Was this all fake? Were you really just a bet for him to complete
"Hey guys—" Draco starts but one of his friends interrupt him
"You can't possibly actually like her like you said when we gave you the bet you'd never fall for a girl like her," Blaise says and you heard enough and walked off not wanting to hear another word, you really thought you had something with Draco guess you were wrong
Later
You were in the great hall when Draco runs over and hugs you "Hey princess—" Draco starts but when you turn and glare at him he stops confused "Did I do something?" He asks as he knew that was a stupid question since you looked extremely angry
"Actually yes you did." You say and Draco tried to think back on today what did he do wrong?
"Can you tell me so I can make it up to you?" Draco asks and you sigh as you take a deep breath to stop the tears that were welling up in your eyes
"Why don't you ask the bet you made." You say and Dracos smile immediately vanished "Yeah I heard you talking to your friends you'd never fall for a girl like me right?" You say and Draco was speechless he didn't know what to say
"Princess—" Draco starts but you stop him
"No Draco don't princess me we're done since all I am to you is a stupid bet. Also, leave me alone!!" You say as you then get up and walk off as Draco stood there stunned not knowing what to do
Dracos Pov
I stood in the great hall stunned as I was so shocked I couldn't move, I finally snap out of my thoughts when someone tells me to go away and I walk out of the great hall when I see y/n walking down the halls as tears were sliding down her face
I felt terrible yes in the beginning all of this was just a bet my whole relationship was just a bet to me, but somehow I fell in love with her
She wanted to get to know me unlike any other girl who doesn't care and just wants sex, when I thought y/n would be the same I was shocked when she said no, I'm not gonna have sex with you until we get to know each other, and have been in a relationship for a few years
I fell in love with her because she was different then any other girl I've been with, and I loved it she was actually perfect, perfect for me
And now I've ruined it
Your Pov
It's been a few weeks since you and Draco broke up as Draco has been missing classes and you don't see him at all anymore, but why is he acting like how you were acting last week? All you are is a stupid bet to him!
But today Draco was in class and he was shocked to see you talking with Harry Potter before class starts "Thanks for helping me with the classes I missed." You say and Harry nods you notice Dracos hands were balled into fists as his jaw was clenched he looked angry and jealous? No way he doesn't actually love you
"Yeah of course you can borrow my notes anytime." He says and you nod and walk to your seat as Draco sits in his which is right behind you
Once class started you all were getting paired for a group assignment and unlucky you because you got paired with Draco
Which Draco was happy about he can explain everything to you finally! And explain his side of everything
After class Draco runs after you as you tried to leave the class quick "Y/n wait." He says as he grabs your arm and you sigh and look up at him
"Can I help you Malfoy?" You say glaring at him and he takes a deep breath
"Please can we talk?" He asks and you noticed his messy hair which confused you because he usually takes amazing care of his hair
"Fine, you get 2 minutes." You say and Draco lets out a sigh of relief
"Thank you, follow me." He says and you do and he goes for your hand but you slap his hand away
"Don't touch me." You say and Draco nods as he felt terrible for how this all turned out
Once you and Draco got somewhere more private Draco smiles at you "Y/n you weren't a bet to me." Draco says and you laugh at that because it was so funny
"Yeah, sure I believe that." You say and Draco sighs as he was trying to find the words to tell you everything
"What did you hear?" Draco asks and you look at him since you've been looking at the wall this whole time
"When Blaise said you'd never fall for a girl like me." You say as Draco nods and he wished you stayed a little while longer so you heard what he said
"You didn't hear what I said after huh? Well, I said shut up all of you I love y/n and she's the girl of my dreams it might have been a bet in the beginning but now I love her she's staying." Draco says as tears welled up in his eyes and you didn't know if he was telling the truth or not
"How do I know you're telling the truth?" You ask and Draco chuckles as he walks closer to you and you didn't push him away so he smiled slightly
"Would I be here trying to win you back if I don't want you? Would I be giving you this bouquet of roses if I didn't love you?" He says pulling a bouquet of roses from behind his back and he hands them to you
"I guess." You say as you take the bouquet and hold them as you remembered all the other times Draco gave you a bouquet of flowers
"I love you ok? I love you so much I swear I'd propose to you right now to prove how much I love you." Draco says and your mouth dropped he wants to marry you? You both technically haven't been together for a year and he already wants to marry you "Oh no I scared you haven't I?" Draco says and you shake your head
"No Draco I'm fine just you know how you can make this all up to me?" You say and Draco smiles widely as he wondered how he can make this all up to you
"I'll do anything princess," Dracos says and you smirk as you think of all the things you want to do but Draco says are way too girly for him
"Ok well, first you will do all those too 'girly' things I want to do with you, like face masks, painting your nails and all that stuff." You say and Draco sighs as he crosses his arms thinking what to do then he nods
"Fine anything for you princess," Draco says and you nod and smile
"Ok, I forgive you." You say and Draco kisses you and you kiss him back the kiss lasted a few seconds before you both pulled away
"So we're back together?" Draco says and you nod and Draco smiles as he actually started crying so happy "I love you so much I don't ever wanna lose you again please!" Draco says and you run your fingers through his hair which usually calms him down which it did
"I love you too Draco."
