The quest

Remus's day started as any other. He woke up had gotten dressed for training. It was summer and his lessons were outdoors. He had a meeting beforehand with his father, which he was nervous about.

His father, much alike other high class Angels believed in traditional views of muggles, wizards and similar earth species. That basically meant that he believed them to be an incompetent and a primitive species driven by emotions, which would eventually become their downfall.

They all agree that being driven by emotions and pity things like love, hate and sorrow shows weakness in an individual.

Since he arrived at the Sanctuary he was forced to hide his emotions because of their beliefs. The more he acted the way one young Angel should the more they would see him as an equal and not someone with dirty muddy blood running through his veins.

He of course didn't believe that earth species were weak or stupid for showing their emotions.

When he would doubt this he would remember the time his little sister Lily got hurt and sprained her ankle, when she fell while they were playing in their backyard. She was holding his hand and cried because she was in pain, upset and hurt. That didn't make her weak. She got better and a few weeks later they were playing the same way they used to.

He skipped his breakfast and hurried off to his father's study. He didn't really want to go and have breakfast with the others since he never really found any good friends and would have to awkwardly sit alone or join some people from his class that he didn't particularly like or care about.

His father was luckily already there so he walked in and greeted him with a curt nod and "Father"

His father looked up from his papers and gestured for him to sit on a chair opposite of his desk.

The chair's back was uncomfortable for his wings but he tried to ignore it and sit straight. He thought 'I might as well get it over with' and asked

"You wanted to see me?"

His father nodded and said "Remus as you already know you are approaching the age of 14 in a few months and i wanted to talk to you about what would your quest be if you chose to exept"

Remus was very confused at that moment, he hadn't expected any information about his future quest since the ceremony for the end of his training would be in a few months.

"Father I'm sorry but i don't understand-"

"Let me finish Remus" he nodded and his father continued a bit more sternly "I of course know that your training is yet to be finished but the quest I'm talking about needs to begin in 3 weeks on September the first"

"I'm talking to you about this because the Angels from the previous years are mostly already on their quests and you're the only one i think I could trust with this"

"When you first got here i believed that i was foolish to bring a half blood in the sanctuary-"

"Father please-" Remus really didn't want to hear his father talk about his need to prove himself above his heritage again

"Let me finish!! I took a leap  of  faith and i am glad i did. You have proven to me that you are just as good or even better than the others from your year and i believe that you would be the best person for this"

Remus was beyond confused by now. He thought that Lyall would scold him over something or something like that and now he's apparently being given a guest wtf?

"The times are changing my boy and as much as i can't stand the mortals, the wizards are soon going to be on a brick of a war with dark forces stronger than they're capable of dealing with themselves"

"If you exept you would be going to a wizarding school called Hogwarts, first to get to know the people and gather some information we require and later we would see what steps you would  be taking to help us stop it from extending."

Remus was speechless, this wasn't at all what he was expecting. He was on the other hand extremely confused why he would think that he was the person this job was meant for.

"Sir I'm obviously honored for you choosing me for this...But why would you choose me for this? It just seems like someone with more experience should be on this assignment" he said somewhat unsurely.

His father grunted, "If you want me to be 100% honest son it's because you have the most experience on earth than any of the other Angels, even the older ones" he said sounding defeated

"I know it's been years since you were on earth and that you were in a totally different environment but i still think that you would fit in better than the rest of them. And i also cannot use one of the older Angels since it's a school for only wizards till the age of 17"

"Also i don't think that any other Angels would work since they're all too cold to get along with the humans and i know that you still have some of that humanity in you left that I've been trying for years to get you to get rid off even if you pretend otherwise"

Remus's brain was going through a rollercoaster of emotions. He was going on Earth. He was going on Earth!! Everything else his father was telling him sounded like white noise.

"I exept Father" he said speaking faster and louder than his father ever heard him, "I promise you that i won't disappoint you!" Remus said excitedly, he couldn't stop smiling. He was going on Earth!!

His father laughed at his enthusiasm as dismissed him, "You better not, I'm risking a lot for giving you this opportunity. Consider your training done and remember that the trip starts in 20 days."

He bowed and said that he would do his best, gratefulness clear in his voice.

Only 3 weeks till the start of his first quest. He couldn't be more excited.
