You cleaned the kitchen quietly as the tv played in h the other room, it was one of those rare days your ‘husband’ had decided to take off from his “work.” You finished cleaning and walked over to him, seeing him on the couch with a relaxed look on his face. It was nice to see him so calm for once, when he was normally so upset over work. “I love you” you lean down and kiss him on his cheek, startling him out of his daze. “Oh! Sorry baby I- I didn’t see you” he pulls you don’t into his lap and nuzzles into your neck. “How was your day?” He asks, arms around your middle. You chuckle and look at him. “You’ve been here all day… you slept so late.” He grumbles as you calm him out but nods, “I know. I was just wondering how my darling wife was doing. Is that a crime?”
You lean into him and he sighs in content. “I’m doing good, for your information” you say with a small smile, “not as bad as this morning. When I found like six spiders in your bedroom.” You glare daggers at him. He laughs and plays with your hair, “I’m sorry- I didn’t realise I could control our houses spider infestation.” He says, seeming very proud of himself. Suddenly your phone rings. It’s your boyfriend. “I…” you trail off, “it’s him…” Gong yoo’s eyes widen and he grabs the phone and answers quickly. “She’s married. She doesn’t want you. You’re over” he hands up and tosses your phone off the couch before looking back at you, your eyes are wide and mouth is slightly open. “That’s- eh- what!? How/ why did you do that!?” Your eyes are wide and shocked and he’s just smiling down at you.it had to happen baby, he was taking you away from me!!” He outed as he gazed into your eyes.
He smiled innocently as you crumpled and slouched into him, defeated. He held you close and kissed your cheek. “Please don’t be mad at me baby, I did what was best for you…” he pouts and you frown. “But…” he grabs your hand. “Baby please don’t be mad…” and oh how in the world could you stay mad at him? You smiled at him and kissed his cheek. “I really can’t stay mad at you…” you mutter and he grins, “now come on baby… the food will get cold…” he smiles and you slide off his lap, walking j to the kitchen and handing him the food you’d made earlier that day. It doesn’t take long before he’s finished and your life has simply gone back to normal.
Night has fallen as you sit on the couch alone. He was out working and you were waiting for his return, you didn’t mind though, you loved and cared for him and everyone had to get money somehow. You eventually get tired and decide to go to bed, eyes bleary and head light. Tiredness overtaking your mind as you slump down and walk to bed. After getting ready for bed you collapse and bury yourself in the comfortable blankets, quickly falling asleep.
As you sleep Gong Yoo arrives home, quickly shedding his outfit and getting into bed with you, the feeling of his bare chest pressed against your back is a nice sensation as you sleep. You snuggle into him and he lets out a content sigh, a peaceful rest after a long day and night of work. As he drifts off his hold on you tightens as he tries to rest, genuine love and care in the embrace, and it’s finally peaceful. Finally.
