You covered your ears as shots rang out, hiding in the corner of the room as the boy with you, your close friend Minsu, held you. He had tears in his eyes as well and was shushing you gently. “It’s okay, calm down…” he hushes you and pays your hair. It was just the two of you in the room, true game, mingle, had been overwhelming and terrifying for you. And when they called out “two!” You had no one to go with. He had grabbed your hand and pulled you quickly into a room. Pulling you close and practically crushing you against his chest in the corner of the room. “It’s okay Y/n” he hushes you, wiping tears off your cheek even as his own eyes were filled with tears. “It’ll be okay, we made it. We lived…” he hugs you and rests his head on yours.
“What if our friends died” you sniffle, tears in your eyes and trailing down your cheek. His eyes widened, he hadn’t even thought about that for a second. “Shit uh… I’m sure they didn’t. They must be alive. They’re smart it’s okay” he has guilt in his eyes and a darkened look on his face. You lean up and kiss his cheek, a soft friendly gesture and a caring look on your face. “Fuck. Y/n- don’t do that” he looks down at you, blushing and mumbling. “Now’s not the time.”
After a while a guard opened the door and escorted the two of you out, you curl up in your bed and he holds you carefully. “Come on y/n… it’s okay, I’m here for you… I’m here to help you…” you look up at him. Curling into his hold even more, the blanket covering both your bodies. “I love you Minsu” you whisper. “I- what?” He stumbles over his words “wait. You… love me?” You nod, a smile on your face. “I love you so much Minsu, I care so deeply about you. Thank you so much for saving me earlier.” He nods gently, caressing your hair and smiling down at you. “I love you too y/n…” he mumble, kissing the top of your head. “Let’s make it through these games together okay?? I know we can do it.” You nod and smile, looking up at him. “Yeah, together”
