Chapter 9
Throughout the week, they all concentrated on getting some more things for Raven.
The twins managed to actually gather 60 or so dollars, enough to let them go into the local thrift store and buy Raven a new shirt, pants, a jacket, two pairs of socks, underwear, a ruler, and an actual pencil case.
Chalk hung around at the high school a bit more, running around to pick up leftover school supplies for both him and Raven, while Worm gained some sympathy from a bakery, pilfering enough that they could be kept fed for 5 days.

Lupin peered into the cave, and his eyes went wide. It was larger then it actually looked, with thousands of little niches carved into the walls. The floor was littered with leaves and dirt, creating a sort of carpet, and ragged blankets and towels dotted the floor. There was a fire in the centre, and a log in the corner provided more light as a little candle stub's flame danced in the bitter wind. There was also nobody home, although there were backpacks, plastic bags, and messenger bags piled up in a corner, and knives stuck into the log.
