on the apprenticeship
Prof. Snape doesn't believe in individual lessons and twice the amount of random extra kid (and also his thoughts are influenced by Caelum's situation like...hello Rigel how is your home life is everything okay are you sure) and teaches them together, and also asks Uncle Reggie on the down low about Sirius and co
on prefects
if I were Snape I would absolutely not make Leo a prefect, he has too much power already and too little respect for rules
leo somehow ends up w a badge anyways. no one knows who he stole/bartered it from, none of the other prefects are missing a badge. (room of requirement, but that would be telling)
alesana is a sixth year prefect. Snape is glad he at least has her. the decision to go with Alice was like...on the one hand, she's Leo's best friend...on the other hand...
Alesana is really just a buffer between snape and all leo's bullshit
she is paid well tho (by leo obviously)
snape refuses to acknowledge the letter of recommendation he wrote for her
aldon and edmund had claim on pansy, which is how she is introduced to the twins, which is how she is introduced to ron. There will be regrets on all sides. Hogwarts wasn't ready for their practical tactical brilliance to be combined this early
there is a period of time where ron and draco are locked in a closet together? they refuse to ever bring it up ever again
also, bc rigel gets abducted, I mean adopted by this squad of miscreants, ofc pansy and draco get involved too (alice's firstie of choice is blaise)
rigel gets picked by leo so caelum immediately goes and finds, idk some other firstie...draco. he changes his mind to Pansy like a day later to try and premptively steal her from the Aldon/Edmund/Leo cooperative
pansy is playing them both
draco doesn't take being dropped from the original selection very well. this is where eric tries to slide into the firstie adoption dms. he fails, and caelum reclaims draco after one afternoon
eric snickers at successfully getting one over on caelum (idk where he got that idea tho), leo takes exception
Draco would never spend five minutes with eric. Eric also isn't interested in Draco for Draco, which is the other reason it fails, because even firstie Draco knows how to spot a gold digger, he grew up in Malfoy Manor. also, Albright is... very bad at hiding his anti-dark prejudice as well and makes multiple horrid comments to draco about rigel and caelum
