Samhain has arrived. Caelum has been stuck to the Gryffindor bench bc Bill insists it's good for him to interact w other lions (i am not a lion, i am a SNAKE). Leo is a bookie and there have been a number of fifth years who have run up quite the debt, hmmmm, I don't suppose you have any spare time to duel w little old me, it would be a real shame, bc each duel knocks ten sickles off your debt...
Percy, bc he's a nerd and Needs Everyone To Know This, has started spouting off the divergence point of Samhain and Halloween, and also Oliver, did you know that pumpkins were used in a quidditch game for a time after the Columbian Exchange, but they stopped that p quick, bc it ended poorly bc a chaser got a pumpkin stuck on their head and flew through a muggle village? (this isn't sleepy hollow that’s in the usa, this is just a fun time)
Eric is stewing and keeps offering Caelum different foods in hopes that he'll have an allergy and DIE. Caelum ignores the pompous asshole bc he would never accept food from an enemy, it could be laced w poison, hey Oliver, do you want this pumpkin pasty?
why yes, Leo and Caelum are paired in almost every class they share together, why do you ask? (bc no one in gryffindor will sit w him)
Caelum has gotten ridiculously attached to Leo because he is the one slytherin who is willing to acknowledge him when he first gets sorted and also the only other first year who doesn't hate potions
but he refuses to acknowledge them as friends. they are merely co-horts. business partners. colleagues. "Hurst? I barely know him. he's got a good head for business on his shoulders tho-" "HEY HEY HEY NO ):< he is my colleague in class. you can't sit with us"
Leo is petitioning for 'partners in crime'. "Lestrange? yes, he is the Strange. he is also my Strange. now piss off and find your own brewer."
Leo showed Caelum the super cool broom closet that now is a potions lab, wack, anyways, wanna brew for my black market? (OR: Caelum would be the one who would find a secret room and immediately think potions lab but Leo would absolutely not stay uninvolved and is the one who proposes a black market)

Eric and his unfortunate bench partner have SO many mishaps during potions class, one might think that Eric's potions kit got mislabeled...
Percy works so hard. Oliver has now made him a deal, I'll pay attention during class as long as you convince Charlie to take me on as his Squire for the quidditch team! Please!!!!!! please i'll stop drawing chaser plays on your notes
