“Oh my gosh, I’m so nervous. Please don’t make me go,” Sirius turned to look at Marlene.
“I hope you know we’re literally standing in front of Lily’s building?” Marlene had forgotten to grab a cardigan and was shivering on the sidewalk.
“Yeah, but.. I can turn back right now. Do you want to? I think I will.”
“Sirius. Stop talking. You’re literally killing me. Go inside and unleash your inner lion! You guys will instantly fall in love,” Marlene spoke drily.
“If you don’t shut up, I’m going to murder you on the spot. Let me act like a brat. It’s not fair,” A voice crack escaped from Sirius’s freshly glossed lips.
“D’you want to know what’s not fair? Having to deal with a grown baby in the cold air. I’m going to drag your ass through that door right now or I’m going to get frostbite. Which one would you prefer?”
“The second one! At least you’d shut up then..”
“And yet, I’m not even the one having a whinge. Funny how that works, isn’t it?”
“Yeah, but I like to think you are. Love you too.”
“You’re so bloody annoying. I’m going in, you can freeze out here for all I care. Honestly, this Remus isn’t going to like you if you keep this up.”
“Oi! Too far.”
“Shut it, posh boy.”
“Shut it, Irish girl.”
“I give up,” Sirius wrapped their arms around Marlene’s shoulders and started to walk in.
“Don’t you love two friends misgendering each other?”
“My favourite pastime,” Sirius grinned. “I hope you know, I’m not posh anymore. Not since I left ‘Mummy Dearest.’”
“Walburga, that bitch.”
“Agreed.”
“I hope you know that I’m not Irish,” Marlene looked sideways at Sirius.
“Mm, that’s what you’d like to believe. By the way, where’s Mary?”
“Oh, they went early. She loves her other friends more than us,” A mock sigh escaped from Marlene’s mouth.
“We’re better off without her anyway.”
