I put a spoon of oatmeal in my mouth as I read the book that I'd gotten from the forbidden section of the libraryβ I couldn't find that stupid Muggle book and was irrevocably
angry about it.
I rarely ate breakfast because I always over slept. But today I had a test in divination class and without some sort of food on my stomach I wouldn't be able to think straight.
Slowly I flipped to the next page of my book.
Three mumbling voices hewed over my thinking as the sat down in front of me, annoyance quickly grew on my face βI detested being disturbed especially when
I was reading or drawing.
"You could've told us that you weren't going to met us in the common room this morning"
Theodore sneered as he grabbed a piece of bacon from the center of the table.
"Well, I knew that the two of you were going to be late being that you spent all night smoking yesterday" I said, my large brown eyes not leaving my book. I continued, "Plus I needed something to eat before the test in Trelawney's class today"
I knew that they had no idea about the test todayβ so my eyes finally darted up from my book and watched as their face turned, a little grin grew on my lips.
A low groan left Draco's mouth "Feels like every time we turn around we have a test"he complained.
Draco looked rather stressed, sick even, his skin was way paler than usual, he had bags under his eyes and he looked thinner. But I hadn't said anything well I had no reason to why I didn't say anything I just didn't.
My mind flew back to on the train when he was talking about the dark lord, I mean I thought he was just saying that stuff but what if he really was a death eater?
He didn't try out for the Quidditch team, his sleeves were never rolled up like they always were in the previous years and Blaise tells me every time he asks were Draco disappears to he snaps and tells him to mind his business.
Everything was sort of adding up.
But I was a very paranoid person and would drop to conclusions often so I began to doubt the conclusion I made.
"Rebekah, are you there?" I snatched myself out my thoughts and raised my eyebrow. My eyes looked down as my fingers played with the silver pendant that was around my neck.
Theodore looked at me with an odd expression.
"As I was saying, I was pretty surprised that zucchini over here made the qudditch team, they must've been extremely desperateβ" he laughed.
"Shut your mouth" Blaise hissed as he punched Theodore in his shoulder making him hiss out in pain.
The brunette scowled and grabbed onto his arm. "I was just kidding ... shit Blaise your so abusive"
As I went to put another spoon full of oatmeal in my mouth something caught my eyesβ Harry, Granger, and Ron walked inside of the great hall discussing something.
I hadn't had much conflict with the three of them since my detention with Ron two weeks ago and if honest that made me happy.
Harry's green eyes looked around the Slytherin table for a moment. He was looking for someone. His eyes landed on Draco who was right in front of me, but then he noticed that I caught him looking and quickly darted his eyes somewhere else.
"What's wrong?" Blaise questioned me with real concern in his voice, looking the spot where the trio just left from.
I dropped my spoon back in my bowl and shrugged my shoulders. "I just think it's a little oddβ well he's a little odd, Potter" I mumbled.
"Why do you say that" Draco asked, removing his chin from his hand.
"Every time we're walking don't you notice that he's not to far behind, like when we turned the corridor yesterday and bumped into him for the second time this week.. thats not a coincidence"
The boys all exchanged looks as if I was insane.
Draco although seemed as if he was thinking about what i said for a quick moment before shaking it off.
A grumph left my lips and I folded my arms.
I might be a little over worried sometimes but
I wasn't insane, I knew when someone was following me.
"Did you ever think that were always bumping into him because we have most of our classes with him? Which means we're going the same way as him" Theodore says making me roll my eyes.
An idea popped into my head and I looked up from bowl of oatmeal once more, "It's not like he had a reason to be snooping around us for, right?" My hands played with dark mark shaped pendant that was on my chest.
Draco's face showed that he was panicking, he looked up at me with an raised eyebrow and I tilted my head. He slowly looked back down and placed his chin back in his hand.
"Good morning guys" Ivy greets sweetly as she sits down aside me.
I noticed that Blaise rolled his eyes and elbowed Theodore. His brown eyes then
darted down to his plate completely ignoring Ivy's small green eyes that was on him. Oh, don't tell me it's trouble in paradise, again.
"Morning" I say groggily, examining the sliver rings on my fingers.
She pushes her blue hair out of her face with one hand and grabs a fried egg with the other.
"I barely got any sleep last night, good thing I woke up in time so I can eat" Ivy smiled as she said the last part.
"What keep you up all night, Cook?" Blaise questioned, putting his elbow onto the table.
He really had no manners.
Ivy said nothing and looked down. The only type of a respond she gave him was a shrug.
It looked as if Blaise was about to open his mouth to say something, but before he could something across the great hall caught his brown eyes.
I knew what it was before I even turned around, I caught him looking at her a lot
rather and honestly I could understand
why. Even if I wouldn't say it out loud I had
toadmit that Luna was more than gorgeous.
Not understanding why Blaise kept Ivy around if he didn't actually like the poor girl. And then I came to the realization that even though Ivy could be annoying at times she was still my friend and what Blaise was doing to her was beyond wrong.
"We should probably start heading to Trelawney's class, wouldn't want her to kill us off this year because we were late" Theodore joked as he stood up.
"What!" shrieked Ivy loudly making me cover my ears. "I just got here and we're already leaving"
"Should've came earlier today than"Blaise said lowly as the three of us stood up and followed Blaise out of the great hall.
I rolled my eyes at his attitude towards her, I hoped that this wasn't about her being with another person. Because the both of them couldn't settle down for shit so I don't know what he expected.
My eyes landed on Ivy as she wrapped her arms around mine. The sun that shined extremely bright today really complimented her topper toned skin. Wait was she always this much taller than me? Yeah I wasn't the tallest person in the batch but I don't remember her being this tall.
"How tall are you Ivy?" I asked her.
Ivy looked at me and shrugged. "I don't know, somewhere in between 5'8 and 5'10" she mumbled.
"When did you get so much taller than me?"I frowned, running my hand over my mouth.
"I was always taller than you Rebekah, your actually quite short" Ivy mumbled, turning her gaze back forward.
My arms folded and I huffed. Nathaniel was about six inches over six feet and me? I was no taller than 5'3. It was highly unfucking fair, although me and Nathaniel looked nothing alike we were twinsβ I should've been at
least 5'8.
The light blue canvas bag ruffled as my grip on it tighten when I noticed Jade walking towards us with a hufflepuff girl by her side.
When her eyes landed on our group she waved the girl goodbye and smiled. She ran towards us and pulled Ivy in for a long hug.
"Hi" she greeted me and the boys.
Just as I was about to walk ahead a hand grabbed onto my forearm making turn around with aversion in my face.
"Can I um talk to you for a moment?" she asked softly as she her hand slowly left me.
No loudly left my mouth before I could even think and I was happy it did. Some may say
I'm being mean but I couldn't care less I didn't want to talk to her then and I don't want to talk to her now.
Seeing Jades face turn into a frown made me feel guilty for a quick second but then I quickly shook it off and continued my walking to divination class.

It was something about the black lake that made me love it so much, but I couldn't quite point it out.
Maybe it was the sound of the wind, if I listen close enough it sounds like the most beautiful humming. The way that the moon reflected off of the water during night time extremely interested me.
Or even the fact that it gave my inspiration for my drawings. In my opinion the black lake was the only decent thing about this stupid school.
Shivers travel up my spin when the cold water touches the tip of my lavender painted toes.
it might be a little odd but I enjoyed coldness, any type of it if being honest.
Just as I was just about to get relax the sound of shoes crunching leaves fill my ears. A low sigh escaped my lips, I couldn't get personal time for one second.
I looked out the corner of my eyes and seen a flash of red hair. Of course it was him it's always fucking him.
"What are you doing, Ronnie?" I say softly as my brown eyes looked at him widely.
I frightened him. He gasp and dropped his wand making the light from the tip of it go out.
I was only able to see the confusion plastered on his face because of the shinning light from the moon.
Ron picked up his wand from the ground.
He puts it in the pockets of his orange plaid sleeping pants that hung extremely low exposing his v-line.
"It's half past midnight Rebekah, I've been telling you since fifth year to stop wondering around late at night" his voice thick and raspy, running his hand over his face.
A low sigh left my lips as I looked at him.
"What are you doing right now, hem? Glad you care for my well being but your kind of being a hypocrite"
He pressed his lips in a thin line and walked towards me. I scooted back for a second
thinking that he was going to throw me in the lake. But all he did was sit down, making the brown wool blanket that had stars all on it ruffle.
"Don't remember asking for your company" I murmured as I brought my legs away from my chest.
"Don't remember caring"
Although I wanted to be by myself something in me wouldn't mind his company just a little β I felt my face turn into disgust very quickly.
Silence fell upon us, the only sound in my ears the horrid sound of croaking frogs. Well now, the sound of the wind that's blowing harder by the second.
My eyes darted to him when I heard a humorless chuckle leave his lips.
"What?" I snapped.
"Nothing your pants, their nice" Sarcasm easily detected in his voice as he said that. His fingers pinched the fabric of my pink sleeping pants that has hello kitty all over them.
My eyes glowered at him and I crossed my arms. I thought my pants were pretty fucking cute.
"At least my pants doesn't reveal half of my dick" I said underneath my breath but it was obvious he heard me by the way his face turned red.
A innocent smile grew on my lips as I pushed my hair off of my shoulders. He sat up a bit and pulled his pants up way to high making me giggle.
"Such a fucking Bβ" he began.
"Hey!" I interrupted. "If your going to be an uninvited guest, at least be a good one and don't refer to me as a bitch"
He smirks a little, "Kindest word that comes to mind when I think about you"
I splutter and open my mouth to respond.
But i quickly shut it, coming to the conclusion that he doesn't deserve a respond back
Instead, I yank hardly at my blanket. "You come and sit on my blanket and call me a bitch? No, Ron Weasley that's not going to work"I hissed.
He begins to laugh at my failed attempts to the point where I finally just stopped out of embarrassment.
The water than hits my toes again slightly calming down. But because Ron's legs were way longer than me the water rises all the way to his knees, completely soaking his pants.
"Shit" he mumbled, scooting back to the point where he was half-way off of the blanket. He's so fucking stupid sometimes.
I picked up my wand from aside me and the hot air charm comes out of my mouth wordlessly. Relief filled his face when his pants and socks began to dry.
"Thanks"He said, now having enough sense
to take off his socks and roll up his pants.
