The agreement
Sheena Catacutan used to be the only person Gwen is close with but for some odd or not really that odd she would find Gwen around Mikha or not her it would be either Colet or Jhoanna they would cuddle with the taller girl or they would be found whispering around making Sheena wonder what makes the four closer it's not just her who noticed it even Maloi, Aiah and Stacy noticed it "ano bang nangyari sa apat na yan?" Stacy asked as they looked at the couch where the four other girls are they seems to be on their own world whispering and hugging each other.
"Ewan ko pero napa ka clingy nila lately" Aiah spoke as they just stared at the 4 girls who seems to still have not noticed them "maganda nga na close sila diba?" Maloi said with her usual bright smile but Sheena can see that the latter smile doesn't reach her ears and the uncertain flicker of her eyes as she looks back at the four her smile quickly fading as she saw their ate Colet wrapping around Mikha and pulling her close as she showed the other something from her phone, Sheena also noticed the unamused look on their other ate which is Aiah at the sight.
"Colet labas tayo! Sa may mall" Maloi invited the latter which cause for Colet and Mikha turned to her they glance at each other before the older girl gave her a apologetic smile "ah pagod ako ngayon next time na lang Loi" she said rejecting the other girl's invitation which they found surprising usually Colet would instantly go with the invitation as long as it's from Maloi so hearing her rejecting her is something they found anew and weird "okay e ikaw Mikha?" Maloi turned to the red hair girl who also shook her head "kayo na lang ni ate Aiah pagod din ako" Mikha said as well making the other two frown as it's something none of them really expected.
"Bebe pwede pa hug" she whined to the taller girl who turned to her and pulled away from Jhoanna's death grip the three girls who's sitting with Gwen turned to looked at her seemingly not expecting the taller girl to comply as she walked towards Sheena and pulled her into a hug "salamat Bebe sa recharge" she said at least one of them won she thought to herself as their trying to pull the four from each other since earlier "of course basta para sayo bebe" the taller girl said with a smile and she felt as the other started pulling away something she didn't expect as usually they would hug for moments before one of them pulled away but Sheena tighten her hug around her bebe to stop her from pulling away "pwede stay lang muna tayo isang week kita hindi na hug e" she said with a whining tone she felt her body flinch and she thought she's getting uncomfortable but the latter spoke.
"Okay, miss ko na rin yakap mo e" the latter answered she hide her smile as she buried her face to the chest of the other girl feeling happy that she finally got to touch her bebe after a week she's scared that the latter might be avoiding her after all often this weeks she would find her gone before she wake up or sometimes Jhoanna, Colet and Mikha would drag her somewhere or because of work that she would suddenly be gone, Sheena than shot a glance at Jhoanna's direction who's now talking or arguing with Stacy seemingly like Stacy took the opportunity when her bebe walked away from Jho to argue with her.
"Anyways may practice pa kami, Gwen tayo na nga" their leader suddenly called out to Gwen who turned to them Sheena hesitantly let go of the taller girl "mamaya na lang bebe" Gwen spoke with her usual soft tone as she followed Mikha, Colet and Jhoanna to the door leaving the 4 confused "akala ko pagod sila? Bakit magpapractice?" Stacy mumbles as she cross her arms around her chest "oo nga bakit feeling ko iniiwasan tayo" Maloi said with a huff, Sheena wonder as well but her bebe won't do something like that they haven't fight recently nor this month for her to avoid her and her bebe is not the type who will avoid her it's Sheena who usually do the avoiding whenever they have a fight with each other and Gwen is the one who try to soothe her when they fight.
"May performance ba yung apat bakit sila lang ang mag prapractice?" Aiah asked making the four girls looked at each other also having no clue "I have no idea, Jhoanna kasi ang tahimik ayaw nya mag salita" Stacy said seems annoyed at the other girl's silence "e ikaw Shee may sinabi sayo ang bebe mo?" Maloi asked the youngest girl she shook her head "wala, madalas lang naman kami mag usap at wala rin syang na mention pag nag-uusap kami" she told them earning a frown from the three older girls "si Gwen? Kayong dalawa ang pinaka close sa atin at diba ang sabi mo always open sya sayo" Aiah said which makes her flinch that's also what she thought.
Gwen sat at the table of the café she thought their literally going to practice but they ended up going to a café instead "akala ko ba e didistance mo sarili mo kay Shee?" Jhoanna asked as they drink their drinks Gwen thought about it than shook her head "I can't just suddenly avoid her out of nowhere, and besides hindi ko na man gusto na hindi na kami maging friends it's just that I needed time to sort my feelings" Gwen said as her hold on her drink tighten making the other three sighs "at isa hindi man lang ako, si ate Colet muntik na" she pointed out which the other flinch at her words, the three of them notice it the moment Maloi suddenly called their ate Colet which made the other seemingly flinch.
The four of them made a pact with each other a month before when they found out that each of them has crushes on their respective OG ship partnes (claimed by blooms), that they would avoid as much interaction as they can to them so they can sort their own feelings for them but the more they avoid them the persistent they become.
On Gwen's part she actually hesitated on the pact she doesn't want to be away with her bebe even for a moment but the more she gets closer to the latter the more her feelings became confusing to her, she's not into girls despite her siblings being mostly guys which made her adapt to some of their behavior she's Certain she wasn't into girls that's what she thought.
But when she's around with her bebe it became much more confusing to her it all started when the two somehow found themselves entangled again after the PBB once again on ABS-CBN star hunt, she's happy and the emptiness she's feeling since she was evicted from the PBB was once again filled upon seeing her again.
But she felt something was off with her feelings she noticed it but at that time she shrugged it off deciding to ignore it and the two become closer then they were in PBB, when the two were chosen to be part of the girl group both of them are over joyed by the news.
But those feelings becoming more apparent and hard to avoid for Gwen and with the fans teasing them it didn't become much more easier, Sheena doesn't seem to mind for the younger it's just a good advertisement for the group that's what she said.
But for Gwen it's more like a declaration of her feelings and something she cannot have with her bebe, not long after that Gwen found solace after she found out she's not the only one having that problem first she found out about Jhoanna crushing on Stacy for Gwen her feelings is quite obvious.
Jhoanna would randomly pick a fight with Stacy without apparent reason, argue with her even if it's just the smallest things, would flirt with her rarely and stares at Stacy with those loving eyes of her Gwen first thought it was maybe because the two are close friends but it become more obvious that the latter is feeling something more than that.
Than there's their ate Colet they all know how the latter patience is as thin as a thread that in a second she would snap but everytime she snaps the moment Maloi spoke she would calm down, she also doesn't let anyone pinch her except for Maloi and the fact that she's so attentive to her is also a factor she's attentive to all of them and over protective but when it comes to Maloi she gets more protective and attentive to her.
Than the last one is Mikha being an introvert person like her Mikha rarely shows clingy or likes getting attention but to their ate Aiah she would be, she noticed the stolen glances, the way Mikha would seek Aiah's attention or how would she quickly agree going anywhere with the latter and because their both introvert Gwen easily understood Mikha isn't just being friendly there's more than that.
Than one day while the four are left on their own as the four the blooms called the kikay line of bini went out together to window shopping because Mikha and Gwen refused to go out due to not liking going out often Colet meanwhile excuse that she needs to finish writing the new lyrics of their new song while Jhoanna just straight up said she's using a new beauty product that cannot be expose to sun light but they know she's just joking or probably because she and Staku had a fight.
"Akala ko ba magsusulat ka ng lyrics?" Jhoanna asked Colet as she and Mikha are playing on the couch the latter glance at her and rolls her eyes "ano ba syempre excuse lang yun, para na man kakayanin ko na ako lang ang mag susuffer sa ka energetic nang apat na yun" Colet said as she continues playing.
"Sabihin mo iniiwasan mo si Maloi" their leader teasingly said but the latter didn't seem to like the teased seemingly not in the mood "parang ikaw hindi ka guilty" she snap back at the other who flinch at her words "ang obvious mo kaya! Kunwari kapa nang aaway pero crush pala ano ka batang May crush!" she continues to snap at the other girl who looks startled.
"Ate Colet chill lang sorry na, ikaw naman napindot si anger agad" Jhoanna joked but she let out a nervous chuckle but the older girl seems still unamused causing for the latter to keep her mouth shut as the older girl is more apparent not in the mood for any jokes.
"Ate Colet ano bang nangyayari bat ang bad mood mo?" Mikha asked worriedly as they finished the game all the while Colet was afk because she's busy snapping at their leader who seems like a puppy who got scolded as she hid besides Gwen as she just play with her phone pretending she didn't noticed the tension.
The older girl shrugged "it's nothing, sorry pagod lang ako wala ako sa mood makipag biruan ngayon" Colet spoke her tone softening as she turned off her phone.
"Mag pahinga ka na lang kaya ate Colet May eye bags kana under your eyes" Gwen commented making her tone soft and with no malice as she looked at the older girl who opened her phone to look through the camera of it.
She let out another heavy sigh "oo nga" the older girl said it's obvious that the older girl is not sleeping well it's like she's having trouble sleeping "may nangyari ba? You look like your not sleeping properly ate Colet baka mag collapse ka during our practice ha" Mikha said worriedly.
Coleta seems hesitant as she turned to them than she let out a sigh "I was having trouble sleeping dahil napapa-isip ako" none of the three said anything waiting for her to continue "I have a question hypothetically what if na in love ka sa bestfriend mo pero ang best friend mo ay May gusto na iba, what would you do than?"
That question made the three stares at her before looking back at each other than Gwen spoke up "if that's the case I'll be happy for her, and support sya for her love in that person" Gwen experience that first hand before so it's just a hypothetical question for her.
"Kahit na sasaktan ka?" Coleta asked Gwen who only glance at her before looking back at her phone trying to act cool despite the aching on her chest remembering the past when Sheena gotten a boyfriend before.
"Even if I got hurt I would take do it, after all hindi mo na man pwede e force ang person na mag kagusto sayo if that person is my best friend I would never break our friendship just because they have someone they like even if I like that person" Gwen continues her hand shaking slightly but she wear a mask of calm and disinterest.
"Ang obvious mo Gwenny,your talking about Shee no?" She flinch for a moment as if her soul has been bare strip and showed into them as she turned to Mikha who's looking back at her, she doesn't say anything she cannot deny that especially that she knows how observant Mikha is to other people.
"I feel like lahat tayong apat May tragic love life" Jhoanna said as they found themselves just sitting on the couch shrugging "so ano ngayon gagawin natin?"
"Accept it I guess na parehas tayong May tragic love stories" Colet said Gwen found herself staring at her phone her attention not fully into the tiktok playing on it as she thought about her own tragic love interest.
"Than how about we make a pact para hindi tayo masaktan nang labis we would avoid interacting with the people we're interested with as much as possible, we won't get hurt kung magiging close tayo sa iba diba?" It was Jhoanna's idea Gwen saw Mikha and Colet looking at each other seemingly thinking about it but she didn't even thought about it.
"Maybe that would help Just until we moved on from our own feelings or sort what we really want from them" Mikha said Colet nodded along however Gwen wants to oppose but she keep her opinion to herself she cannot bare to be away from her bebe especially that she's used to them being clingy to each other.
"How about you Gwen?" Jhoanna asked her as they looked at her "umm... Can't I not take part of this?" She ask her tone hesitant as she moved her fingers anxiously as she swipe through her phone skipping videos upon videos that shows on it.
Not until Jhoanna grabbed her hand that she realized she has been anxiously moving her finger through tiktok videos than she saw that the video playing right now is Sheena's post of them dancing together just recently.
"Gwen you look the most hurt person between us" Mikha said as she placed a hand on her shoulder as Gwen felt her heart aching as she realized she has been blindly following her heart thinking that she can keep being the best friend Sheena needs.
"Alright" she whispered more to herself than to them she felt as they hugged her seemingly trying to calm her down, she fight off the tears that threatening to fall down from her eyes.
As soon as the four walks in Sheena found herself staring at Gwen the tallest girl in the bini walked in following the other three girls "girls I think okay lang sa inyo if we switch roommates" it was Colet who suddenly suggested that, startling the other four who was really taken aback by her words.
"What where is this coming from?" Aiah ask her but Mikha suddenly spoke up "we think it's for the best naman, sila Staku at Jho palagi nag aaway and it became much more tense lately and we think we need to switch roommates as well para May ibang experience na man" the four seems totally not in board but they seems resolved with the decision.
"Bebe okay lang sayo?" Sheena asked her her gazed looking at her expectantly she flinch wanting to deny it but she felt someone pull the hem of her cloth pulling her back as she avoid looking at Sheena's puppy eyes "yes, I think it's okay na man" she said in a whisper she felt as Mikha place an atom around her nudging her like she was proud of her.
"Ano to? Alam nyo kung gaano kahirap mag impake diba sa tingin nyo basta basta lang ang switching of roommates?" Stacy ask her tone annoyed as she looked hurt and betrayed by the sudden suggestion but they won't drop it.
"We will help na man sa pag momove nang mga gamit nyo" Colet said seemingly getting annoyed as well the four girls looking at her before Aiah shrugged seemingly annoyed as well.
"Bahala kayo" the other oldest amongst the group said her tone barely controlled with annoyance as she walked out of the living room, Sheena saw Mikha's hesitance as if she wants to follow the other older girl, Sheena felt beyond betray she felt like her bebe is throwing away their friendship she felt like her bebe is drifting father and farther from her.
"Sana masaya kayo" Maloi said with mild annoyance as she followed Aiah which prompted for Stacy who seems more annoyed in the switching up of roommates than them, Sheena turned away and shot a glance at Gwen who's still avoiding to look at her before she left as well.
Stacy grumpily sit on Aiah's bed as the latter seems busy packing her stuffs "ano yun bigla bigla mag dedecision without even consulting kung okay lang sa atin? Tapos nila tayong e avoid nang ilang araw" she said her tone filled with barely contain rage.
"I thought okay kami ni bebe she hug me kanina" Sheena said feeling sad and suddenly betrayed she thought they made up when the taller girl comply to her request to hugged her, Maloi rolled her eyes "obviously sinulsulan sila Mikha at Gwen nila Jho at Colet, there's no way papayag ang dalawa na yun at isa pa silang dalawa ang atat na atat na iwasan tayo" Maloi said really annoyed.
"Let's not make too much about it, baka May reason na man yung apat" Aiah said it's obvious that she's trying to protect the 4 girls but Maloi and Stacy are not having it as they rolled their eyes and obviously annoyed.
"Anong reason? The fact na iniwasan nila tayo nang ilang araw tapos basta basta lang and without warning na nag decide sila na mag switch roommates, ate Aiah you cannot tell us they have a reason when you don't even know why" Maloi said which made the older girl flinch.
"Ate Aiah may alam ka?" Sheena asked as she noticed how the older girl reacted than the three turned to looked at her, she hesitated before she shrugged "you remember me and Mikha going out to go the singapore last month before she started avoiding me?" She asked them which they nodded along.
"Actually I had unintentionally confess to Mikha that I like her and I mean it more than a friend but her reaction is quite something I cannot distinguish" Aiah started as she fumbles with the clothes she's holding as she seems to remember what she did on that day "so in the end I told her it was just a joke than when we return to the Philippines iniiwasan nya na ako, back than low key lang ang pag iwas nya sa akin pero nang na iwan sya kasama nila only Colet, Jhoanna and Gwen ang pag iwas nya sa akin naging mas obvious pa."
That's when Sheena connected the dots "May agreement ba silang apat diba sila lang ang natira sa bahay nang day na yun?" She said thoughtfully making the other four turned to her seemingly also wondering.
