Christmas Time
Summary
Dramione family after war, married, and two kids. Christmas time is near and the Malfoy-Grangers are ready.

It was Christmas time.

Christmas time was here.

The Malfoy-Granger family was ecstatic and beguiled that they have another year to spend the holidays together.

Lyra Hermione Malfoy Granger was barely one years old. Little Scorpius Draco Malfoy was older, not by a lot, 2 years old.

Hermione and Draco didn’t want them to have a long age gap so they only are apart by one year.

Their abode was filled with cheer and little squeals coming from Lyra while Scorp’s raspberries were heard around the living room as he played with his toys.

Draco couldn’t help himself with a few pre-Christmas gifts.

Hermione made amends with the Slytherin when she returned 8th year to Hogwarts. They got fairly along after they put the past in the past. Not long after that, the Daily Prophet was announcing:

Hermione Granger & Draco Malfoy: Star-crossed lovers rekindled once more? Enemies to Lovers after these hard times…

Ronald was furious. He always was.

He was appalled by what he read. His Hermione getting together with the Death Eater ferret? Godric no.

The friendship between Hermione and Ron ended shortly after that.

The man had the audacity to accuse Draco of giving her the Imperius just so he could get with her. Absolutely disgusting.

Draco and Hermione got married on February 17, three days after Valentine’s Day.

Narcissa Malfoy “helped” Hermione plan the wedding. And to say Narcissa Malfoy was thrilled that Hermione is finally going to be her family was an understatement.

The binding ceremony was oozing with benevolence to all that were there.

It was filled with love, happiness, and adoration.

No bleak skies, nor pain or anguish.

And now we’re back to Christmas 2007 with the Malfoy-Grangers.

“Mama!” Lyra yelled at her mother, waddling as fast as she could towards her Mum.

“Yes sweetheart?” Hermione asked, smiling, as she picked up the infant.

The little girl didn’t say anything, just giggled and played with her mothers hair. Granger looked at her daughter until she felt a tug on trouser leg and looked down to see her son looking at her with big chocolate eyes, holding his toy with him.

“Mama, up!” he held up his hands in a carry motion.

She laughed and shifted her daughter in her arms to carry to both of them.

“How are you two lovelies doing?” she bounced them up and down, both of them giggling at the gesture.

Before they could answer, the old Gryffindor heard a swoosh of apparition from the gates of Malfoy Manor.

“Dadas home,” she whispered to her children.

Lyra clapped her hands while Scorpius squealed.

Draco, indeed, had arrived home. He entered his home and walked towards where sounds were emitting from. His wife and two children were in her arms, all of them smiling.

The moment they saw him, Scorp wiggled out of his mother’s arms and ran towards his father. Lyra reached towards him and Hermione let her go so she could see her father.

“Daddy!”

“Dada!”

Draco chuckled, embracing both of them and smothering with kisses. Hermione smiled and walked towards them.

“Hello love,” she said, stealing a quick kiss from his lips.

“Hey Granger,” he smirked. He dug into his pocket and retrieved two small boxes, one purple and one silver. He bestowed them to his kids accordingly and saw the amazement in their eyes.

“Yay!”

“Dada,” Lyra said, looking at him expectantly. He smiled and unwrapped it for her, knowing she was too young to be able to open it herself. She giggled and looked at the toy, a small silver otter, clutching it tightly to her chest. Meanwhile, Scorpius was playing with his toy, a miniature toy broom that shook every time he moved it.

“And nothing for me?” his wife asked, a faux expression of seriousness on her face.

“I could never forget you my love,” he grabs something from his back and gives it to her, a single red rose.

“For you darling,” he smirked when he saw the blush that appeared on her face.

“Thank you,” she kissed his cheek and wrapped the rose around her hair.

“Guess what?” he asked, as he let down Scorpius so he could do whatever he wanted, as Lyra dozed off in his arms.

“Hmm?”

“Theo went abroad to Italy for the weekend,” he raised an eyebrow at her to see her face twisted in confusion.

“Okay…how does that affect us?” she questioned, actual confusion etched into it.

“Well, obviously he needs someone to take care of Cleo so, we have our own Great Dane for the weekend!” he smiled, hoping she wouldn’t be as mad to him.

“What?! Draco I cannot possibly take care of that dog the entire weekend while I have to take care of our kids! You could’ve consulted with me,” she scolded him for being so idiotic.

“Okay I am also their father, I can take care of them Granger don’t worry. Plus the kids love Cleo, especially Lyra. He’s friendly and we all love him. Please Hermione,” he pouted his lower lip like a petulant child.

“Fine. Don’t expect me to take care of him though,” she warned.

“Of course not love. Cleo,” he whistled, beckoning the dog towards him.

Cleo came running from the door with a huge smile plastered on his face. He ran over to Scorpius, who was laughing and looking at the dog as it rolled over and chased its tail.

“See? Scorp loves him,” he boasted, proud that this didn’t backfire on him.

“Yes we all love him, Draco. There’s no doubt about it,” she rolled her eyes at her husband’s antics.

“What? Cleo is adorable. Unlike that bloody kneazle,” he murmured, hoping she didn’t hear him but oh was he wrong.

“Crookshanks is the most adorable cat ever Draco Lucius Malfoy,” she slapped the back of his head for even daring to talk about her baby Crooks.

“Ouch! Salazar’s sake woman,” he rubbed the back of his head while still holding his daughter.

She rolled her eyes, instead walking over to her son and Theodore’s dog and watching them play.

Draco walked out of the room and walked towards his daughter’s room to lie her down. When he was shifting her to put her down, she woke up and started crying.

“Dada,” she sobbed, clutching tightly to his shirt.

“Shhhh,” he soothed, rocking her back and forth. He sat down on the rocking chair they had in her room and rubbed her back, trying to soothe her back to sleep.

And that was how Hermione found them, after putting down Scorpius to bed and Cleo sleeping in his own room (yes he has his own room, Cleo is a spoiled dog) .

Draco and Lyra are both asleep, holding onto each other on the rocking chair.

She loved the holidays.
