You were in Dracos dorm hanging out with your boyfriend as he was working on an assignment, and you were sitting on his bed deep in thought when he asks you something snapping you out of your thoughts "Baby? Are you ok? Lately, you've been deep in thought a lot and I wanna know if you're ok?" Draco asks as he looked worried, he didn't wanna bring it up thinking it would pass, but it's been months now and you are always deep in thought and just looking uncomfortable and feeling uncomfortable, he's noticed how you've been and wants to know if you're ok
"Huh? Yeah, I'm fine don't worry about it." You say and Draco sighs he knew that was a lie no you are not fine, something is obviously making you uncomfortable. And well as your boyfriend he would like to know what's going on with you
"Now that's a lie, I would like to know what's up with my girlfriend," Draco says and he noticed the uncomfortableness on your face again, did he say something that's wrong? He just called you his girlfriend? Do you not like being called his girlfriend? Wait do you not love him anymore? Do you wanna break up? "Is this to do with me?" Draco asks and your eyes widen and you shake your head
"No, it's not Draco, you don't need to worry it's nothing to do with you....just.....have you ever felt like something is wrong? Like something in your life isn't right? Like how you are isn't how you're supposed to be? Or something is wrong? It's hard to explain. It's weird I've felt like this since I was 8, just my parents said it was nothing and to ignore it and it would go away but it hasn't." You ask and Draco shakes his head and he looked confused now, he then got up from the desk he was working at and walked over to you and sat down on his bed
"No I haven't but you feel that way? Do you feel uncomfortable? Why?" Draco asks and you shrug
"I don't know Draco I don't know ok? I'm so confused why I feel this way." You say and Draco nods he didn't know why you felt this way but he definitely will figure out why you feel this way
"Look how can I help you not feel uncomfortable? I just wanna make sure you feel comfortable with me. I love you so I wanna help." Draco says as you lean your head on his shoulder and he wraps his arm around you and pulls you close
"I don't know, I just don't understand how I feel, I'm so confused! Like I feel like I'm alone I don't understand how I'm feeling." You say and Draco hated that you don't feel right, he needs to figure out why and how to help you, because he loves you and wants to help you
So the next day he read every book in the Hogwarts library when nothing was found he was extremely frustrated, so he went to the muggle world to find something! He doesn't care if he hates the muggle world he'll go to every muggle library and look for a book on how you feel
And he did find one in the muggle world just didn't understand it and forced some poor muggle-born at Hogwarts to explain it to him
"Malfoy your partner is non-binary it means they don't feel like the gender they are, they would rather go by they or them or something else, but you should talk to them about what they would like to be called, also there's no way for you to change them it's how they are so don't try and change them." The muggleborn say and Draco nods why would he change you? He loves you and will always love you, so he's gonna accept you however you are. If you would like him not to call you she or her or his girlfriend then ok, he won't do that and call you however you prefer
"Ok now give that book back I need it," Draco says as he walks off to find you and then just talks with you and some friends normally but differently at the same time but you liked how he was talking to you
"Don't they look amazing today?" Draco says pointing to you and you smile after Draco said that, you don't know why but you liked how Draco said it "Honestly they are the best partner I've ever had and I can't imagine my life without them." Draco says as he kisses your forehead as you smile and Draco was happy your smiling, he was hoping this was helping your uncomfortableness even if it's just a little bit. And hey if you need to change to feel more comfortable with yourself he'll accept that and help you, he'll do whatever to make you feel comfortable with yourself
After a while, Draco pulls you away and hands you the book and talks to you about it
"So? Do you feel that way? Because I'll support you forever." Draco says and you nod
"Yeah I liked how you were addressing me earlier, so I'm glad I know how I feel, I feel a bit more comfortable." You say and Draco kisses you and you kiss him back
"Well I love you just the way you are and if this is the way you are then I accept you," Draco says and you smile so happy your glad you found such a supportive boyfriend
"Thank you, Draco I love you so much." You say and Draco smiles
"I love you too y/n."
