The Top of the staircase
The trio of hufflepuffs walk huddled together like three peas in a pod.
The stairs move and replace each other to create a clear path to a strange painting.
They finally reach their destination but no door. Just the same painting they saw on their way up. The painting shows a girl standing alone in a field of flowers. The girl was wearing a white dress with red flowers.
Then Sana, the head house, speaks.
Sana has a very sweet and soothing voice so everyone stops their talking to listen to it.
“So… This is the entrance to the common room and your dorms” she says with a honey sweet smile. “You may be wondering how a painting can be an entrance, well you simply need to say one secret sentence for it to open. This is the same for other houses as well, however as you all know, entering other houses common rooms is forbidden.” She says calmly taking her time to explain to all the new batch of hufflepuffs. “Well, I know you won’t break the rules anyways” She says it with her signature cheeky smile. “Please remember not to share the sentence with anyone. The sentence is ‘Hi High’”
The moment she says the sentence, the painting fades away opening up a hole in the wall. In that hole is the common room.
The common room has a yellowish color scheme. In the back of the common room you can see a gigantic fire place. Next to it are a bunch of cute paintings of animals. If you move to the left, you can see a door like carving in the wall. In the door way carving is a staircase. If you move to the right side of the room, there’s a bathroom sign. Move further away from the bathroom sign and theres a huge kitchen area. This made Chuu smile since she tends to have a habit of making cupcakes when in a good mood. The common room has a few hufflepuffs already sitting down in the center. The center is filled with animal themed bean bags. Some to mention are tigers, lions, rabbits, dears, frogs and more that probably you don’t even know. Almost all the bean bags are formed into mini circles, in the center of them lays a blanket. In the middle of some blankets, chess, and uno are placed and other boardgames that choerry probably knows about. See Choerry plays way too much games. It all started with board games and now she’s addicted to this one video game called ‘Animal Crossing’ that muggles made.
Yeojin makes a woah noise that makes some of the seniors sitting on the bean bags who heard it chuckle. The trio follows behind Sana who is entering the common room. Then she points to the door like hole in the wall which leads to a staircase. Sana then says “That staircase over there leads to the dorms. Each dorm fits three people, so you’ll have three roommates. You can know it’s your dorm when you go in front of a dorm and it glows.” Then Sana picks up a box with kets inside it. She starts calling out three names at a time and gives one of them a key. Then the group of three walk to the staircase and hopefully find their door. From what she also explained, you can know if it’s the right dorm if your key glows when you stand in front of it. “Chuu, Yeojin, and Choerry”.
The three girls walk up and receive their key. They make their way up the stairs. Then they arrive at the first batch of dorms. They look up to notice that there are multiple batches of dorms on each floor. They make their way away from the staircase checking if they key glows.
They walk to the end and still, no glow.
“It’s alright” Chuu says enthusiastically. “We’ll find our door in no time”. “Yeah… your right” Choerry says hopeful. “Well then lets go and find it already” Yeojin states happily but also a bit impatiently. Luckily all the luggage was already taken before they entered the dinning hall. How? Well magic.
The trio of hufflepuffs went back to the staircase and proceeded to the next floor

The Ravenclaw head, Sehun, lead the way through the staircases
“How do you think they move?” Haseul asks. Vivi responds with the obvious “Magic”. “But what magic?” Haseul questions again. “Stimulation magic. It’s used to create passage ways and hide secrets” The usually quiet Gowon responded as the girls stopped for another staircase to appear. “Really?! So stimulation magic is this powerful” Haseul says. Gowon responds with a simple nod.
Gowon was always the quiet and reserved girl. Her parents work for the Secret Wizarding Force which is like the FBI of muggles except in the wizard world. That means her parents often worked very late and go on missions they may not return from, leaving Gowon alone. That was ok though, because they always dropped her off at her grandmas house. Her grandma owned a library in her basement. It was very grand and she remembers her grandma saying it goes all the way back from when the first Wizarding War happened. Those books contained many knowledge. Even forbidden books were in that library.
Gowon stared back at the entrance of the staircases. That girl… She has used black magic before. It made sense because of her mother but still, Something was up. Park Gowon was the Gowon who analyzed every tiny detail and from all that analysis she knew something was up.
However her train of thoughts were stopped when they reached the painting. The painting was black and white. It showed a girl in the middle of an altar. The altars architecture was a bit greek. The girl in the middle was staring up. She had an outline of butterfly wings which were white.
She already knew what the head of the house would say due to the fact that her parents had been to this school and told her. She looked as her two friends who stared wide eyed at the teacher. The teacher continued stating the obvious.
“The secret word is ‘Butterfly’”
Once the secret word was stated, she knew what would come next. The stimulation magic stopped and showed the common room. The common room to her surprise, was very royal and grand. It reminded her slightly of her grandmothers basement.
Tapestry’s with the ravenclaw symbol were placed at each side of the common room. The back and right side of the room was filled with bookshelves over bookshelves. All types of genres such as Fiction, Nonfiction, Fantasy, Romance were splattered throughout the bookshelves. Even comics, Manhwa and Manga were placed at the end of the mini library. This excited Gowon and her friends. At the left side are plenty of study tables equipped with a book and quill. Meanwhile in the middle were circle like tables that could fit around 6 or 3 people depending on the size. A blue cloth was placed on top of the table. Some seniors were sat down reading a book or talking to their friends about whatever subject comes to mind. The room had a blue color scheme which Vivi pointed out as soon as they stepped in. Vivi liked design so it was normal for her to analyze the setting. then at the right, right after the sea of bookshelves end. There was a door like hole in the wall. Gowon already knew what will happen next.
“Everyone please come once I call your name and take the key. If your key glows while you walk in front of a dorm door, know that its your dorm. Each dorm fits around 3 people, So to put it simply, I’ll call three people at a time. Those three will take the key and go up the stairs into the dormitory. Understand.” The head house said with a firm, stern voice. The group of freshly picked ravenclaws nodded.
Sehun called half of the groups names until he called out.
“Gowon, Haseul, Vivi”
The three walked up as Haseul took the key and headed towards the staircase. While they walked up. It seemed like Gowon was counting something. “What are you counting?” Haseul asked. Gowon was a bit annoyed by Haseul’s curious nature but then again… They are Ravenclaws. I’m counting the amount of people who walked in so I can try to guess what number our dorm will be”. “how did you know the dorm had numbers?” Vivi asked quietly but just enough for Gowon to hear. “My parents went here and they told me”. Gowon responded. Vivi just nodded.
A couple of seconds passed until Gowon stated in a matter of factly tone “Dorm 50”. Vivi and Haseul looked confused as to how she did it, but they knew the black haired girl was starting to get annoyed by the questions so they didnt ask.
They reached the first patch of dorms when Gowon asked “Can one of you guys walk to the end and count how many dorms are there.” Gowon decided to show some mercy and answer why. “That’s so we can know how many floors we have to go up”. Haseul volunteered and walked towards the end of the dorms.
Haseul came back and said slightly out of breath “20 dorms”
“Thank you” Gowon said with barely any sincerity. It was normal though. If it sounded sincere that would’ve been weird. The girl, although having a high pitched and some would describe ‘crunchy’ voice most of the time sounded deprived of emotion.
Then Haseul took the lead and started walking up the flights of stairs. Gowon followed with Vivi.
They walked up three floors then turned to their right and walked through the dorms until they saw ‘dorm 50’ plastered on one of the dorms. The key was glowing giving them the thumbs up to unlock the door. The trio of ravenclaw unlocked the door and entered their new home.

“Ugh… We’ve checked the whole area… are you sure the key didn’t glow” Chuu whines. “I’m sure I’m sure” Yeojin says. “Guys stay motivated…” Choerry says but seems tired. “Everyone already entered their dorms though” Chuu says. “Lets go back down and check one more time” Yeojin says frustrated. “Fine… but its only cause it’s you and your my only friends here other then Yves” Chuu says pouting. “and of course heejin and kim lip”
The trio walks down the staircase.
“Chuu… do you like Yves?” Yeojin asks. Chuu stares at her taken a back. A strawberry like blush filling her face. “No” she says very quickly. “Then why are you blushing?” Choerry says mischievously. She walked silently deep into thought, which was strange for the cheerful girl. “Ok fine… I do but don’t tell her, It’s just that ever since we were young… I always wanted to be like her, I admired her. She was so interesting and she taught me how to be outgoing and talkative. Without her I’d be much more different then who I am now.” “Wow… you two must be close” Yeojin says slightly touched. “Yeah but it’s not important… What’s important is” Chuu looks at both of her friends and puts one arm on each of their shoulders. “That we find our dorm so we can sleep” Chuu smiles warmly at the both of them. They both replicate and return the smile back.
They reach the first floor of dorms, and as soon as they pass the first door they walk in front of, the key starts glowing. Chuu gives a cute but angry death stare, like that one meme where kirby stands behind a door with a knife… yup she embodied that. Choerry frowned a big frown. Yeojin chuckles awkwardly “sorry…”
Yeojin opens the door while the two girls are still slightly mad. However all that madness goes when they see whats behind that door.
