Chapter 2
Chap 2
As she walked through the magically saturated ancient halls for the castle she once called home. The feeling of lobbing that’s been constantly haunting her these past few weeks steadily intensifies.
These last few weeks all she could think of was the plentiful memories of fading happiness that seemed to constantly replay in her mind, leaving lingering feelings of warmth that seemed to burn, following with a stinging sensation that sticks to her conscious no matter where she goes what she dose, it’s always following her.
She was glad she did not break her oath made the founders. As she looked at the files containing Hogwarts past it was clear to see Hogwarts had been declining in both magic and security for centuries now.
She could not decide if she’s dreading fixing this mess or looking forward towards the challenge.
These past few decades everything is always the same . Wake up, eat, drink. Teach what she planned the week before. Being headmistress really had its advantages.
Don’t get her wrong it’s not regret she feels as she’s in gliding toward the stone gargoyle, that even a thousand years in the future, still opens the door for her.
Not hesitating for a moment she took quick but graceful strides up the stone staircase into the headmasters office.
Standing there before her was a pale elderly man with a thick white beard, that appeared to be neatly trimmed. A full head of hair matching his beard and colour but falling down mess of the just above his shoulder blades. Tired brown eyes stared back at her before signing sitting down on a comfy looking chair behind the cluttered desk that was filled with papers.
“Please sit down ms Callidus “ He spoke in a weary voice, looking almost ready to flee, it was laughable there mortals fears.
Has she sat down on the admittedly comfy chair that was done in emerald green , crossing her leg elegantly over the other.
“I would like a job” she spoke bluntly sheeting no reason to drag this out.
“Yes I assumed so” he said with a tight smile on his face.
What would you suggest. Sir” she added as an afterthought.
“This is the hard but ms Callidus, all the classes we offer already have teachers”
“Yes all twelve options” disgust and disapproval lacing her voice. “ I would gladly teach a class that’s not offered anymore”
“To teach you would need a mastery-“
“Done”
“May I ask what masteries you have”
“Headmaster Dippet I’ve been alive for over 3 minimum, I have quite a few”
“What would you teach ms”
“Preferably something to do with blood magic” seeing his face twist she added”but with your countries new laws I would suggest combat, dulling and blade handling, your students are living in a time of war.”
A weary look crossed his wrinkled face”are you sure.”
“I am, now onto other matters, I need acses to the ward stone.
“I’m sorry ms but no matter who you are I am unable to let you.”
“Sir, I help create the wars, believe me it’s in your best interests to let me” Amusement clear in her tone.
“Create them” a confused frown appearing on her face”
She raised an perfectly plucked eyebrow
“To even come close to the ward stone would require a vow”
A look of respect appeared in her eyes, it was gone within seconds
“ I Ophelia Zemeria Callidus swear open my body and magic that I will not damage or tell or show anyone of the Hogwarts ward stone, let mother magic flow through my veins, and honour my words”
“When would this happen ms?”
“As soon a possible, however all the students need to be inside the castle for the full security to be implemented”
“September 1st” the headmaster spoke
understanding what’s she was suggesting
Standing up she nodded her head once, then dissipated through Hogwarts wards right infrount of the headmasters eyes.
Just like a thousand years ago, however this time she will be returning. This left her with a giddy feeling coursing through her body.
