Rebecca Patricia Armstrong.
In the public’s eye, she’s seen as a stoic, arrogant and brash individual. Her reputation as Chiang Mai’s Ice Queen of the Business Sector precedes her. She’s known for doing what she wants and her keen sense of instinct.
Despite her cold exterior, Becky dotes on her close friends and family especially heeding her mother’s word. Yet Becky lives a secret double life that even her mother is unaware of.
In the criminal underworld, Rebecca Armstrong rules the Mafia with an iron fist. Since taking over for their father—Robert Armstrong, Becky and Richie otherwise known as business tycoon Richard Armstrong have dealt with unsavory orgs and individuals. Human life holds little to no value for her after taking away the scum of the earth. She doesn’t think twice about ending the lives of those who betray her or the Mafia.
Becky didn’t have a normal childhood with her Mafia father and being intersex. There was one exception however. A girl with chocolate honey colored eyes that she frequently met up with at the local playground. Freen. Who without fail was at the playground almost everyday with or without her mother. She always managed to find Becky no matter her hiding spot when they played together. However one day Freen didn’t show up at the playground and no matter how many times Becky hid, her friend didn’t find her.
Becky exhausted many of her own personal resources to look for Freen but it was like the girl fell off the face of the Earth. The short period of childlike happiness that Becky experienced stayed with her well into adulthood.

Freen Sarocha Chankimha belonged to a working class family. She took her mother’s place as a cart barista after her mother got terribly sick. The doctor diagnosed her with a terminal heart disease. Nun’s heart hurt terribly thinking about the family she’d leave behind: her dear daughter and young son. Too soon her daughter took on the role of caregiver for her and provider for their family. Her dear boy Nat mistakenly thinks of Freen as his mother and Nun doesn’t have the heart to tell him otherwise often referring to herself as Grandma. Better that he thinks of his sister as a motherly figure than lose a mother so young to illness.
The children’s father is as absentee as they come. Concerned with only gambling and drinking. In his drunken fits, he’d drop by the house harassing them for money. Nun often stood in the way of his rage to protect her children from his fury.
Freen grew up resenting her father and steered clear of love. This man could leave his ailing wife for a mistress as young as his own daughter. When her mother passed away from heart failure, Freen was resolved to take Nat with her and leave Bangkok.
She didn’t know what the future had in stored for them but she knew she didn’t want their father to have any part in it.
But who knows how this decision will affect her......
