Chapter 2
Ade woke up in her room, sweat dripping down her temples and her breathing coming in quick succession. The nightmares were back. She haven’t had one in almost four months but they were back now. Dreaming of boney arms and a fowl, almost nauseating smell really wasn’t the best way to start they day.
Add took a quick shower to rinse of the remaining sweat and got dressed in the uniform. The Slytherin logo pressed on the black robe made it all seem to real. Shaking her head she made her way out to the great hall for breakfast. It was somewhat difficult to find her way to where breakfast was served and she didn’t meet anytime she could ask for help either.
After a bunch of wrong turns she finally arrived and took a seat at the Slytherin table, ready to dig in.
“Sleep well?” Ade startled and turned her head to se Mattheo standing behind her. He took a seat next to her. “I slept like a baby myself.”
She turned back to my plate and proceeded to ignore him, it was to early in the morning for this shit.
“Not much of a talker I see.” He smiled and Oh my fucking god he had dimples! Ade mentally told herself to chill the hell down.
“I talk a lot, not just to you.” Ade continued to eat her cereal. She know he probably was just trying to be nice but she just didn’t have the energy.
“Mmmhm.” Mattheo took a bite of his food. Analyzing Ade’s face, looking for something to grasp onto. “See you in class. Oh and before I forget, there’s a party in the common room tonight. Be there.” And with that he left.
A party? On a Monday? Ade didn’t know what to think, getting drunk was always fun but maybe not on a school night. And if Malfoy were to be there she would rather shoot herself than meet him.
Ade finished up her breakfast and processed to her first class of the day, potions with Professor Snape. She can’t say she had heard the best of things.
As she walked into the classroom she saw that it was a Gryffindor and Slytherin class. The green house on the left and the red on the right. It wasn’t hard to see the dislike between them. She took a seat at the back, hoping to not get noticed. She saw neither Mattheo nor Malfoy and was a bit thankful for it.
“Who can tell me what toad eye are most useful for?” A Gryffindor girl in the front raised her hand. “Anyone besides Miss. Granger?” Ade knew the answer but decided to play it safe but Snape had another idea. “You in the back, the new student, do you know the answer?” It was t a question.
“Yes professor, its most common use of for brewing antidotes.”
“Very good, 5 points to Slytherin.”
Thank fuck. Ade exhaled.
When the class ended Ade couldn’t get out of there quick enough. That Snape dude really liked to put people in there place. She turned the corner and ran straight into another student.
“Shit, I’m sorry.” She saw that the student was Miss Granger from potions.
“Oh, no. It’s my fault. Wait, you’re the new student. Ade, right?” Granger asked. Her smile was friendly and Ade instantly felt at ease.
“Yeah I am. Sorry I only know your last name.”
“Oh, my name is Hermione.”
“Hermione!” Someone shouted. I turned to see a black haired boy with round glasses and a ginger boy. They must be friends she concluded. “Let’s get lunch!” They both said.
“Yeah sure but first, this is Ade.”
They introduced themself as Harry Potter and Ron Weasley and Ade could see a small smile paint Harry’s face. His black hair looked a mess and made Ade want to run her fingers through it. He flickered his eyes to meet hers and then quickly looked away when their eyes connected.
“Ade, do you want to join us?” Hermione asked.
“Yes I would love to.” She looked away from Harry to answer. These three were the nicest people she met so far so why not. It would do Ade good to get all friends, even though they were in Gryffindor.
As they sat down at the big table in the great hall Ade began to think that this was gonna be a good day, maybe even great.
“So what to you think of the school so far?” Ron asked, his mouth filled with food.
“I like it. The building looks stunning and…” She didn’t know how to continue but she didn’t need to.
“I know! That was first thought when I arrived.” Harry smiled at Ade. “It was just so magical, don’t you think?”
But before Ade could answer she heard a voice from behind her. “I know you’re trash, but sitting with Pottah and his obnoxious friends is low even for you.” Malfoy’s face came into view. A smirk visible on his face as he looked over all four of us and scoffed.
“Remember what I told you yesterday. You look prettier with your mouth shut.” She answered.
Malfoy’s smirk only grew, oh shit she thought. What had she done now. He placed a hand on her back, careful so Harry, Ron and Hermione wouldn’t notice it. He stoked his fingertips up and down, making Ade want to shiver. He stopped at the clasp of her bra just for a second longer.
“You seem awfully interested in my mouth Ade. To bad I don’t kiss filth like you.”
Ade was seething, how dare he? Couldn’t she be left alone for one day. His stupid face was just inches from hers, making it difficult to think. His hand were still on my back and she shrugged it of, not wanting to feel his touch.
“Good, because I don’t kiss spoiled brats.” Not her best insult but what else was she supposed to say.
“We will see about that.” And whit that Malfoy was off to the Slytherin table. What did he mean by that?
“What the hell was that?!” Hermione whispered furiously. “You’ve been here one day how the hell did you already get on his bad side?”
Ade dropped her head into her hands, “I have no idea.” She really needed a drink by now, good thing there’s a party tonight.
