“Beautiful, isn’t it?” I felt arms come from behind me and wrap themselves around my waist. He rested his chin on my shoulder and spoke into my ear, his hot breath blowing my curls away from the skin.
“It is.” I replied, falling back into him as he took me into his arms.
He hummed low into my ear and brought his hands slowly up my body.
We were standing in front of a large window that overlooked the grounds of our estate. The freshly fallen snow looked like glitter as the moonlight hit it, it was indeed beautiful.
His hand made its way under my housecoat and under my t-shirt. His cold fingers tickled my warm skin as he began dragging his hands all over my chest.
“Mommy!” A voice followed by two sets of footsteps came from up stairs. I tried to pry myself away from him, but he pulled my back further against his front. He removed his hand from my robe and adjusted it before Rose and Scorpius came down.
“Mom! Dad!” Scorpius was hot on Rose's tail, but let her stay ahead of him.
“It’s snowing!” Rose shouted.
I laughed. “It is,” I smiled, glancing back at the figure who was still latched onto me. “Hey, I have an idea…”
“Do you?” The low voice in my ear came back. I knew there was a smirk on his lips… I could hear it in his voice.
“You two go get your coats on, we are going down to Uncle Harry and Aunt Ginny’s house.” The two children’s eyes lit up with excitement when I announced part of my plan.
When the kids were out of ear shot, I was quickly spun around to meet the pouting eyes of Draco Malfoy. “Hermione,” He whined.
“Draco,” I laughed, stepping forward to plant a kiss on his lips. “It’s Christmas Eve. The kids should spend it with their family.”
“We are their family.”
“So are Gin and Harry.” I laughed. “You can invite Pans, Theo and Blaise if you’d like. I’m sure they won’t mind.”
Draco rolled his eyes before pulling me against him again. “Seven years ago today, Hermione.” He smirked, glancing over at the carpet in front of the fireplace. “Do you remember?”
Fuck- of curse I remembered.
Seven years ago, on Christmas Eve, Draco proposed to me in front of that fireplace. We didn't leave the area until Christmas morning. We went at it like bunnies all night.
Nine months later I gave birth to twins.
I hummed a response.
“Seven years ago…” He repeated. “Why don’t we do it all over again?”
I snapped my eyes up to his and furrowed my eyebrows. “Draco.” I said seriously. “What are you saying?”
“I miss it, Hermione.” He suddenly went serious too. “I miss it all.”
“What are you-”
“I want to have another kid, Hermione.” He cut me off mid sentence.
I gasped. Loud. Draco laughed and cupped my face with his hands. “I want to impregnate you all over again. I want to have more tiny gremlins running around. I want to do it all over again.”
“Draco, this isn’t a funny joke-”
“Good,” He scoffed. “Because I’m not joking.”
It was silent for a while. All that could be heard was the faint ruffling of snow suits and chatter of the two children in the next room.
“We can’t.” I finally said. Draco’s face fell. “Draco, if we do what we did seven years ago today again, and get the same outcome… we have to much of a chance that the baby will be born on or around Rose and Scorp’s birthday…”
He smirked. “I fucking love you-” Without warning he picked me up and spun me around in the air. I squealed and laughter erupted from both of us.
“Mom? Are you alright?” Scorpio peeked his head in the room, he was head to toe in snow gear.
“I’m fine, Socrp.” I smiled as Draco set me back down. “I’m going to run up and get changed, wait here.” I said before making way for the stairs.
Before I could make it, Draco grabbed my wrist. “New Year’s Eve?”
I smirked. “Right at midnight?” I teased and ran up the stairs.
Thank Merlin this man asked me to marry him. I don't know what I would do without him.
