“There’s no coffee here Katniss'' Tony stated flatly “And no pot” Bruce pointed out wryly
“Whaddya mean I just put on a pot” Clint protested, injured
Hiyori walked into the kitchen with the noticeably empty object of discussion.
“Did she…” Clint trailed off awed and horrified “I think so” Tony replied amused
Said person in particular had in the meantime, had refilled the pot and was waiting for it to be done
Bruce moved forward “Uh Hiyori are you….” he trailed off as Hiyori removed the pot and practically inhaled it in four gulps, dropped the pot on the counter and let her head fall down.
“Are you okay” Nat questioned concerned and slightly amused “Curse the universe, ..... And paperwork. “ came the muffled reply, the latter tacked on a beat later
“Tony” Pepper called out, sounding vaguely irritated “Your late for your meeting” “Meeting?” Steve asked sounding curious
“Yeah I have a meeting with the Director of the Evans-Black Foundation”
“What!” came the shocked response behind them “The Director!
Are you sure” Hiyori question sounding surprised “Yeah I'm sure” Tony responded bewildered, "Why?"
Before Hiyori had time to respond Pepper entered the room with a middle aged black haired woman with sharp gleaming silver eyes and a kind, firm smile
“Darling” The woman called sounding stern , Hiyori turned from where she was and greeted the woman
“Aunt Andromeda” “How have you been?” Hiyori shrugged “Well enough” she responded “Have you been eating” “Very well” "Living in a place that can house a toddler?” “Yes”
Andromeda softened slightly. “Very well.” Hiyori looked suspicious “Truly?” she queried sharply
“I suppose you are an adult now." Andromeda added sternly “I don't believe I will have to remind you to call?” she tacked on firmly with a raised eyebrow “Not at all” was the response
“Come here” Andromeda walked across the kitchen and wrapped her arms around Hiyori and while doing so she looked over her shoulder to those in the kitchen eyes glowing with a terrible light mouthing softly “Harm her and you will all die painfully ”
“Come along , we will be discussing the rest in private '' Andromeda stated firmly as she led Hiyori out of the room.
“What the hell just happened?” Clint asked confused and terrified “No idea” “No clue” “Don't care” “Life”
Tony, Steve, Bruce and Nat answered
The others gave Nat a stare, then with no response forthcoming dispersed to continue their day.
